Eye eye

PhoenixGirl · 14/04/2007 23:03

Right i'm off to bed now, ds' monitor is flashing 3 times which means the battery is going and i can't be arsed to look for some more so i'll plug it in upstairs

Jelley - hope u've had fun reading this

Chloe55 · 14/04/2007 23:07

Are you still using a montior pg? We ditched our about a year ago - never had such a goo night's sleep

Flamesparrow · 14/04/2007 23:33

Loving the sound of a pyjama party

mustrunmore · 15/04/2007 07:36

I'd like to know who's having the sofa bed up the loft

2boysmacca · 15/04/2007 08:33

Any hangovers?

Just come back from my run so excuse the sweat drips

mustrunmore · 15/04/2007 08:44

How long?

I'll be a late nighter again tonight, as
dh is working and wont be home till 8ish, so it'll be about 8.30 before I get sorted and on the treadmill.

Jelley · 15/04/2007 08:52

A great morning's reading. and I don't have to reveal my past either

It is going to take a long time for some of the pictures in my head to fade....

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/04/2007 08:53

No Jelley yet? Reckon she's still trying to catch up?!

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/04/2007 08:54

Ah, x posted!

ChasingRabbits · 15/04/2007 09:08

well, just read through this, am still here but now is not the time or place to come in on the convo!
Anyone use a mooncup? I've got a question about them.

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/04/2007 09:11

Yes CR, I do, Jelley does, think Frizbe does, can't remember who else.

Jelley · 15/04/2007 09:21

I do. Ask away...

ChasingRabbits · 15/04/2007 09:36

ok, so I got one last month when my periods restarted (after having T), but only got it at the end of my period - so had a couple of days use, but v v light flow.
Period started on friday night, put it in friday night - fine, saturday all fine. had sex last night (took it out first obviously ) and put it in straight after.
Then woke up at 2am and it was leaking, took it out, cleaned it etc and put it back in. T woke up at 5.30am and I went to feed him and it was leaking again - cleaned and put back in, then T woke up at 8.30am and it was leaking again. Not full, so not 'overflowing' - do they do that? but pretty full (first 2/3 days are heavy flow, then lighter flow for 4/5 days).
Why would this be happening? Is it the sex???? Or is it an overnight thing?? Flow on fri night was just getting going so fairly average whereas flow over the last 24 hours has been v heavy.

KelBelle · 15/04/2007 09:46

PMSL at you lot last night!!! I should have logged on but had an early night instead!!!

Jelley · 15/04/2007 09:50

I'm not sure. I've used mine for 2 or 3 years now, but the only time it has leaked was the first period after I had ds, which was Very heavy. I was having to empty it every hour
It shouldn't leak in bed, but maybe you haven't got the positioning quite right.
Have you cut the tail off? It might help with fitting if you haven't already.

ChasingRabbits · 15/04/2007 09:52

umm, I thought it was odd. I have cut the tail off, positioning seems fine - I had it in all day yesterday, changing about every 4/5 hours and no leaks at all - I was being VERY impressed. Then last night.

Jelley · 15/04/2007 10:22

Don't give up yet.

I see you'v asked on Franny's thread, so maybe someone there will have an answer.

2boysmacca · 15/04/2007 10:42

Mrm only 20 mins. We did just over 2 miles. I can't do much more. I peaked too early too. Thought I could see the home stretch and picked up my pace only to collapse before the finishing line!

So CR was actually having sex last night whilst the rest of you were talking about it

I am tempted with a mooncup as I find tampons so uncomfortable these days. Convince me....

mustrunmore · 15/04/2007 11:07

Well, I did go to bed in the end macca

Mooncups; always fancied this idea in theory, but there's no way I'm spending that much on something I might not like.

Macca, thats good time (even allowing for my dodgy maths; only work in km for running, despite using miles for anything else!)

PhoenixGirl · 15/04/2007 11:32

I've just packed Lew off to my parents for a couple of hours cos now i've got s & d. I feel better than i did first thing so i'm gonna have a lie down now and hope i'm over it by the time he comes back dh is at work til 7.

So mooncups??? Are they more comfortable than tampons? And how much do they cost?? Loads??

ChasingRabbits · 15/04/2007 11:50

oh not planning on giving up. I got mine off ebay (NEW) for £18, but I think Franny sells them a bit cheaper.
Just got T off to sleep so now I can go play with ds1, he just got a lego exoforce with his pocket money yesterday and they are a bugger to make.

Flamesparrow · 15/04/2007 12:28

Mooncups and bumfluff should be happening soon

CantSleepWontSleep · 15/04/2007 12:49

I would say it was just positioning CR. I didn't have any leaks the first 3 cycles with mine, but then last month had 3!

Franny sells them for £15 somethingorother.

macca - I think you'll find that CR was definitely not the only one having sex last night.
Even just financially mooncups make total sense. Tampons are so expensive these days, that (certainly for me with my 6-7 day periods) it only takes a few months to recoup the cost. No more having to cart spare tampons around with you and you can feel all environmentally friendly too.

Church was entertaining this morning. Dd did her usual running around, and even climbed up the stairs into the pulpit in the middle of some prayers .

Off to a 1st b'day party after her nap.

KelBelle · 15/04/2007 13:06

DS can climb up and down the stairs now without any help from me I walk down in front of him but he hangs onto the banister and just walks down like he's always done it!!

He just fell asleep in his high chair!!! Just put him down for a nap then off to see my cousin this afternoon and her little girl.
