Don't mention cream eggs We normally get a box of then from Costco round Easter time but we haven't been for ages.

Frizbe · 02/04/2007 23:21

stuff, dd1 is yelling 'I don't like to' sigh, better go and see what's up, lob me a virtual Egg please, I am soooo avoiding a whole Costco box of them

KelBelle · 02/04/2007 23:22

How do you eat yours?!!!!!! Mmmmm lovely chocolate egg, mmmm lovely creaming middle bit .......

PhoenixGirl · 02/04/2007 23:28

KelBelle · 02/04/2007 23:29
Grin
Frizbe · 02/04/2007 23:33

hmm don't know what that was all about night terrors me guesses, someone told me the other day to wake her half an hour before they happen, trouble is, she doesn't have a set time before they happen!

I nibble the top off, then lick out the middle, before scoffing the lot

KelBelle · 02/04/2007 23:35

Yum - me too Frize!!

Night terrors dont sound good!!! Hope she is settled for the night now.

Off to bed now too, hoping to sleep round to 8am without little monster waking me up!!!

Sweet dreams all xxx

PhoenixGirl · 02/04/2007 23:37

That's how i eat them too

Hope dd1 sleeps now frizbe

Nite Kel

Frizbe · 02/04/2007 23:58

2boysmacca · 03/04/2007 07:02

Morning all!

ChocolateSucksWithoutSugar · 03/04/2007 07:54

Morning macca.

I don't like cream eggs - never have.

Used to eat pot noodles, but not for a long time now. I think that last time I bought one for nostalgia I was somewhat disappointed.

Flamesparrow · 03/04/2007 08:01

Thought I was going to be the only non-creme egg eater!

I still eat pot noodles Would never give em to the kids though.

Up and in the car at 7.10am... that is my life from now on Good thing is though - kids are fed and washing is on the line already

for waking 30mins before night terrors... cos that's easy to do!

Chloe55 · 03/04/2007 08:24

I'd love dh to get home for 5.15

We are trying to keep ds up for a little longer. His bedtime was 6pm, he literally wouldn't go past it but I'd love for him to get into a routine of having tea with us but dh gets home about 6.30pm (on a good day). I have been managing to keep him up til this time since the clocks went forward but he has a really ratty period about 6pm (just as I'm making tea). Unfortunately he still wakes up about 6/6.30am though, can't complain I guess, realising how early some of you guys get up!!

Chloe55 · 03/04/2007 08:25

I luuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeee cream eggs. I bite the top off and lick the inside out too, then it gets all sticky and warm so I shovel the shell in then regret that I have eaten it so quickly

Flamesparrow · 03/04/2007 08:31

Does he still have an afternoon sleep?

DS has got this f*ckin bug. I'm so with my dad for not telling us stepnephew was ill before we went over - I would have postponed, now have lost 2 days of holiday

2boysmacca · 03/04/2007 08:47

Don't like cream eggs, too sickly.

Don't like pot noodles, remind me to much of my student days

Flame, he could have picked it up from anyone. Just try as hard as you can not to get it yourself!

ChocolateSucksWithoutSugar · 03/04/2007 08:58

It doesn't seem to last long if it's any consolation flame. Still got a temp this morning (38.4 pre calpol) but otherwise seems pretty much ok. Even ate a little bit of breakfast, and drank lots of milk (1 hr of bf plus 1.5 cups of rice milk).

It depends, if he is at nursery then he will have about an hour at lunchtime. If he is at home then he will have a couple of hours in the morning and then a couple of hours in the afternoon - I have no idea how he does it, how can you have 2-3hrs more kip 1/2 the week to the other? It suits him though and tbh it suits me too

Jelley · 03/04/2007 09:04

43 messages before I even found you

No creme eggs here. The dds were given them this week, and neither of them liked them much, either.

We have 2 pot noodles inthe cupboards, for dp to take towork in an emergency.

He left for work at 6.30, and is on the m25 less than 1 junction from home. Going to turn round and come home if it ever starts moving.

ds is sleeping 7-6.30 lately He does stir in the night, but I pretend to be asleep unless he is actually stood up crying, and so far, he's gone back to sleep.

Glad Pippa seems to be getting better, and I hope E has a 24 hour thing too, and you can get out again soon, Flame.

NAO - ds is a chatterbox....but I don't know what he is saying yet. Whatever it is, there is alot of it!

Jelley · 03/04/2007 09:06

Maybs he just needs more sleep Chloe. The only way I've got ds sleeping this much is to stop the afternoon nap altogether. (and some days he has less than an hour in the morning)
DD2 was still having 2 naps and sleeping all night at 3.

Flamesparrow · 03/04/2007 09:07

It could be from anyone, but given that we've not seen anyone else and they had it when we went over...

Its not so much how long it will last, its knowing that I have to sit in for today and tomorrow with them - I have a load of stuff I need to get done today, which I have no idea how I'll do it as I can't take him out and risk him sitting in a pushchair of sh*t (it all ran out of the last nappy ), and I was meant to have dentist/see Psycho tomorrow and she won't risk seeing me as it is her DD1's birthday on Thurs and they obv don't want this. DD goes stir crazy after about 2 hours at home

Glad Pippa's feeling better

PhoenixGirl · 03/04/2007 09:19

Lewis gets up about 7, has a nap 9ish (in his pushchair) then another nap 2.00-3.00 (again in pushchair) then bed at 7-7.30 and mostly sleeps through

Flame - I used to take dh to work and pick him up but that was before we had Lew. He works shifts so when he was on earlys i used to take him for 5am and when on afters i used to have to pick him up at 11pm. And his day and night shifts are 7am-7pm/7pm-7am and i hated doing it. Much easier with 2 cars but we'd be much better off if we could get rid of one but its not worth dragging lewis out of bed to take him or pick him up.

I started this post half hour ago. I ordered a memory foam mattress topper off bid tv and it just came so i went to put it on the bed but when i unwrapped it it says you need to wash it first to remove the odour its got. Its double size so will it go in a normal washer?

ChocolateSucksWithoutSugar · 03/04/2007 09:46

Never thought I'd say this, but of ds' sleepp Jelley (although dd did manage a couple of weeks of 11 hours at night when she first started walking, so it might just be that)!

We'll be lagging behind with the teeth then if your dd is getting her 5th Frizbe. No one had less than 4 in last week's count did they?

Fingers crossed for your cousin too - assume that means what I think it means!

Right, going to get dd dressed then drag her off to Waitrose, as we have no fresh food, and friends visiting this afternoon, so can't go then.

OP posts:
PhoenixGirl · 03/04/2007 09:48

Oh just noticed Lewis is getting tooth no. 12

Flamesparrow · 03/04/2007 10:45

lmao @ the teeth counting. 4 n a bit here.

Dilemma time.

Send MIL flowers to apologise about mother's day... she called to say they had arrived, beautiful, shouldn't have etc, and then asked if I was coming to see them. When I said no, she sounded very and said she had been hoping to talk to me about things. Anyone else finding this as ominous as FIL & DH?

Now trying to work out if I should be giving up my days of silence and going to Wales after all... what do you guys think?
