I knew I hadn't been on for a while (rl gets in the way) but there's a whole new really long thread that i've seen for the first time today!
Only passing through big waves to everyone, hope all are well, hugs to kel, far too much to read so have no idea how things are but guessing a hug is never a bad thing
BTW are we the chatterboxes or our little ones? mine is one and I understand some of what he says, most people are lost beyond "All gone" which he says a lot

PhoenixChick · 11/04/2007 09:07

not only had lewis' nappy leaked this morning the bloody thing had exploded, gel stuff everywhere. Luckily it had stayed within his vest and didn't get all over his grobag

ellenrose · 11/04/2007 15:37

oooh - poor pc

Chloe55 · 11/04/2007 16:09

Bloody hell - were you all bored last night?!!! Anyway, hi

Been for a run, I was shit, it was too hot and I have eaten too may easter eggs.

Had a bit of a bad day, had an anaesthetic death, lovely dog but very poorly - no ones fault but crap all the same

Does anyone keep a sort of life journal? By which I mean a timetable as such about what they need to do/work on and if so can I peak at one? Need to get organised both in housework and body (used to FLY but have since gone by the wayside).

2boysmacca · 11/04/2007 18:16

Ds2 has just posted ds1 bath toys down the loo. He is very upset! I will fish them out later....

2boysmacca · 11/04/2007 21:16

Are you feeling perky Flame?

Off to my folks tomorrow. With a bit of luck I will get a run in in the morning. Car in for servcie on Friday and 90th party on Sunday. Might use the opportunity to get myself a new outfit Shhhh don't tell dh

mustrunmore · 11/04/2007 21:36

Hello. Just on quick again as ds1 still up! Only got home a while ago. Chloe, I just have a weekly agenda, which things get shoved on day to day and never completed!!

csws, what time are you pitching up tomorrow? Text me!

PhoenixChick · 11/04/2007 21:49

Hello all,

Quiet on here today.

I've had a complete nappy disaster day today. The one that exploded first thing and then an exploding poo one that leaked all up his front and onto his vest, it wasn't good. It was a cloth nappy so i just took it off in the bath and showered him and it down then threw the nappy in the washer.

I think he's got a dodgy tummy though cos as well as the nasty poo he hasn't ate hardly anything all day Not sure what caused it but he had quite a lot of raisins in yogurt this morning so could be them.

Hope everyones ok

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/04/2007 22:27

Double at the price in that case macca. Can fit 6 cars on our drive!
Have a good few days away (again!).

dame - we are the chatterboxes .

Chloe - do I need to have a 'sort of life' to keep a 'sort of life journal'?

Pg - could be another one teething perhaps? (Easter names have gone now btw)

PhoenixGirl · 11/04/2007 22:59

Is that better csws? (i forgot to change it)

could be teeth. I was looking at a teething chart online earlier. He's got all 4 first molars now so the next to come is the canines/fangs.

Jelley · 11/04/2007 23:07

csws - ask your man to do the fence. DP is no good at doing jobs for my friends. He quotes way too low, then moans at me afterwards
Really though, he's still at his old job (the one where he didn't need a car seems to have disappeared) and I really want him doing stuff here on his days off. Sorry. I'd love to come and play some time though. Don't suppose you live in the kind of place I can get to by train...

Chloe - I have a mutant FLY thing going. I have a weekly routine on the fridge door, and an ongoing list of jobs in my phone book. Nothing sophisticated enough to share, but has made a big difference here since I started it.
Slightly sad, but meal planning has also worked for me, too.

I forgot to mention yesterday, but I'm pretty sure ds had his last bf last week. I offered yesterday, and he wasn't interested

PhoenixGirl · 11/04/2007 23:13

Hi Jelley

Has the going to bed early stopped now? Is ds sleeping through (can't remember)

PhoenixGirl · 11/04/2007 23:44

Bedtime for me now xx

Jelley · 12/04/2007 06:59

Yes pg, the early bedtime has gone, and ds is (mostly) sleeping through
I went up last night and he had filled his nappy, which had leaked on all his clothes. dp was fast asleep, God only knows how he didn't notice the smell!

If I could get him to sleep through the alarm clock at 6am, I'd be even happier.

I have my parents and my best friend all visiting today, so I'm going to start cooking in a bit...

No time to read, but very perky - 32F which was about what i thought... my mum and sister are HUGE compared to what they thought though

Off to Wales

xx

Jelley · 12/04/2007 08:32

32 F

Chloe55 · 12/04/2007 08:36

I hope Wales goes ok for you Flame. I'm sure it will be fine.

I really should meal plan because I always run out of food to eat and then either cook up some crap or get a takeaway, I'm sure meal planning will save us money in the long run.

mustrunmore · 12/04/2007 08:40

32f??!! Well, I was proud of my new E cup!!!

If you're around csws, see you later.Got the texts. Just turn up whenever. You dont need to bring food for pippa! I was thinking just pitta/salad/houmous/meat kind of thing. No dairy I promise Maybe in the garden if we can work out the best way for the babies to eat there (only got one highchair, could've borrowed next doors but they've got 10 kids over today so might need it!)

Jelley · 12/04/2007 08:40

I've stopped using frozen "kid food" totally since I started meal planning

Flame - hope Wales is ok, and it turns out to be nothing (FIL did something similar with cryptic messages about wanting to speak to us together and it was totally unimprotant. He had no idea he had worried us so much, either)

Chloe55 · 12/04/2007 08:42

Yeah that does bother me Jelley - I have emergency frozen kid food but have been using it more and more recently, I cooked a stew yesterday and I used tinned veg to throw in that only because the fresh veg at the local was minging and my cupboards are bare!

Jelley · 12/04/2007 08:44

I think tinned veg are better than rank fresh stuff. At least you cooked!

mustrunmore · 12/04/2007 08:46

We use alot of frozen veg, as Tescos is too far away now, Waitrose is close but too expensive, and the corner shop is putrid.

Chloe55 · 12/04/2007 08:49

I often buy those frozen steamed veg because it means that ds is likely to get more veg as you just bung one in the microwave for 4mins and they are lovely - pretty expensive though.

When I was pg I used to take the time to go to the local farm shop and buy gorgeous fresh meat and veg - I would go every other day and our meals were divine but now I either don't get the time or just can't be arsed! I need to get motivated to go back there really, I'm thinking a meal planner might be the encouragement I need - does anyone have that want that Mellowma seems to email out all the time?

Chloe55 · 12/04/2007 08:50

have that one
