Liking no. 2

mustrunmore · 10/03/2007 21:13

I tried to do a toy cull today too. Got rid of one carrier bag full, mainly ds2's things actually. The only bits of ds1's were things actually broken.

Went into Boots though, and got a fantastic coat for ds2. I'd been looking at it for ages, but it was £15. Then when everything else went half price, it only went down to £11.25. But today, it was half price Thats still alot more than I'd usually spend on one item, buts its sooo nice. I prob feel about it how Flame does about nappies! Its choc brown, furry, sooo soft. He's going to be so cuddly in it. Er, and its 18-24 months and fits him perfectly

And I got my new glasses. Eeek at the cost.

Ds1 did some of his sponsored jobs for comic relief; garden things, washing the windows etc.

Went to woolies too, as I wanted to get him Robots on dvd and I's seen it for a fiver last week. Obviously, the price has gone back up now So he'll have to do without!

No running today; opted for a bath instead!

mustrunmore · 10/03/2007 21:14

DEFINITELY NUMBER 2

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 22:28

Sorry guys - you got outnumbered by private voters

#3 has now been sent. Feeling a mix of argh and hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

CantSlimWontSlim · 10/03/2007 22:36

I'm too late then, but preferred 3 to 2 anyway!

We're off to South London for lunch tomorrow, but don't have to go out at 7:30 thankfully! Good job you guys are always up early macca! Have fun.

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 22:52

7.30 is just pure madness

NotanOtter · 10/03/2007 22:54

2 flame!

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 22:57

Argh - now I'm panicking its the wrong one!!!

Tell me why you like/dislike 3 & 2 please

3k · 10/03/2007 22:58

2boys- if I'd known you was a Bluewater I could have met up with ya, I only live 10 mins down the road!!!

DS's rash still there although looking a bit better so I think it may go by tomorrow.

Off to visit friends in East Grinstead tomorrow, really need a hug from my surrogate dad down there so I'm taking Ds so he can meet him properly as he only saw him at the christening last year. Could also do with getting out of the house.

Had a brilliant flirting session with osteopath today, perhaps that dream was a premonition I doubt anything will come of it but it's great to feel attractive again after DH made me feel like a sack of sh*t. DH had DS this morning whilst I flirted with osteopath and I dont think he is coming round til Thurs now. I think I'm turning a corner though and moving on, I'm starting to feel better throughout the day time now.

Right off to get my pizza out of oven and watch a bit of tele before bed. Night all xxx

3k · 10/03/2007 23:00

Flame - I liked both but preferred number 2, just think the bum look is soooo cute with cloth nappies. My sister and mum were admiring DS in his tractor wacky wrap earlier today!!!

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 23:01

Yay for flirting and sounding sooo much brighter I'm really happy for you.

DS has a rash on his tummy this evening.. will be watching it

3k · 10/03/2007 23:02

Perhaps it is spreading via this thread!!! hope it doesnt come to anything Flame.

DS has cute those two back teeth this week but there also seems to be another front one coming. 3 teeth in one weeks seems a lot for the poor little man especially with the ear infection too.

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 23:03

I felt I liked the behind look, but didn't like the dodgy blanket background - ended up with the other one a) because (at that time) it had more votes, b) no dodgy backdrop c) you could see the nappy nippa - my mum says everyone she speaks to expects pins, so she liked it showing the new style

3k · 10/03/2007 23:04

I liked that one too Flame, they are both cute. You are right about the pins too, all the older people that see DS's nappies are surprised by they way they look these days!!

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 23:57

Cr*p - have found out if I upgrade the site there will only be a redirection page set up for 30 days.

The ad runs for 12 months.

So - I either don't upgrade, have the long url and risk running out of space for the next 12 months...

Or I borrow from DS to pay for the upgrade now, and email a second copy of ad with updated details, and let them assume I am just a moron?

Help!!!! I can't cock this up and I am panicking and tearful and argh.

Jelley · 11/03/2007 06:36

If you upgrade now does it solve the issue that you can't google and find it? If yes, then do it now. I don't understand the space thing. How much "free space" have you got now? If it isn't a huge issue then upgrade 11 months into the ad.

I do think 3 is the right choice. I like the pic for 2, but the background is better on 3, and I definitely agree about showing the nippa.

Hoping all those going out for the day have a good one

DP promised he'd get up this morning. Guess where he is
Just s well I don't believe him when he says things like that. He did do tea last night, and I will hold him to his promise to take all three out today so I can go back to bed.
I'm now thinking I'm just suffering sleep deprivation, and stress. Ds is "sleeping through" but it still means getting up at 5 or 5.30 most days. Plus I was up 1-3 due to back pain last night, which really isn't helping.

PhoenixGirl · 11/03/2007 11:12

Now i feel like sh*t, i'm sure illness spreads thru this thread

DH got up with ds and i stayed in bed til 10.30. Although i wish i'd got up cos i feel worse for it

Flame - I was undecided between #2 and #3 and said #2 because the site is Bum Fluff and it shows his fluffy bum

3k - Glad you're moving on and feeling a bit better, hope Bens rash goes.

Lewis is getting much braver re standing unaided and the more we say 'clever boy' the more he does it and he can do it for quite a long time now and he's walking round the house with his vtech walker a lot more.

mustrunmore · 11/03/2007 11:33

My baby is in wellies pottering around in the garden

PhoenixGirl · 11/03/2007 11:43

Bram????

didn't know they did little wellies if it is

Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 11:44

The whole free space thing is a how long is a piece of string thing to me... I don't understand things enough to know if it is enough iyswim.

With the free store I get:

30mb Disc Space
300mb Bandwidth per month

Currently using 158,159 bytes.

The paid for store has:

150 Megs Space
1000mb Transfer

I plan to be listing about the same amount of stock again, making refinements etc.

It would also give me a name like bumfluff.net or something, which would google more easily.

I'm gonna have to go for it aren't I?

Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 11:45

Awww, my baby can't even cope with proper shoes, let alone wellies!! He'd be eating mud too...

for feeling crappy PG - I've got yet another cold

mustrunmore · 11/03/2007 11:56

I have no idea about all your technical stuff, so I'm going to ignore it all Flame Sorry!

Yes, they do make wellies for him! He's a size 5 you know. He's in ds1's old Fimbles ones, which I'm sure only stopped fitting him 5 minutes ago And a full waterproof suit thing, as yesterday he climbed into the sandpit full of rainwater. And crawled through the flowerbeds. And he eats alot of stones. He loves being in the garden!!

Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 12:02

That's my point MRM - If Bram is in size 5, how the hell is Emrys already a 4 1/2?!?!?!

(I don't understand the technical either... MrCSWS - you gone out yet??)

Jelley · 11/03/2007 12:12

That tech stuff meant nothing to me, but the shorter easy to find name makes me say go for it now, or you will have to change later at more expense.

When dd1 got her first wellies I had to get the next size up to get them over her huge thighs

DS is free standing properly now but still only doing one or two steps.

DDs have been playing outin the front and he keeps escaping through the front door. Summer holidays are going to be fun. Playing on the street in our top free entertainment. I plan on putting the travel cot outside for him.

DP is being nice today

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 12:14

Oh I meant to do @ your non-lie in.

DD had the thigh/calves issue too

Talking to Yzzy aout the upgrade now.

I like the travel cot outside plan... will get it back from my mum - taking them to the beach later.
