Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 20:10

lol - I had forgotten we were still on the birthday thread.

Frizbe - will email you about oodles of things (I hope you don't mind) - my brain is melting!!

Will reply to everything else when paperwork is finished

CantSlimWontSlim · 11/03/2007 20:15

We really should get a proper new thread going I suppose. Did anyone actually come up with a serious suggestion for the title?

Lots to read, can't remember much, but also for nits and for length of pizza delay.

V tired here, and back aching. I woke at 5:50 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep at all, which was gutting as dd didn't wake until 7:15!

dd has wellies in size 3 - the traditional green ones from muddypuddles.com. She was also in the garden in them yesterday, pulling all the bark chippings out of the flower beds and trying to eat them . I took her out the front when we got back from lunch and she wanted to eat the red berries from the climbing plant on the front of the house - probably poisonous.

Oh, and head seems a lot better today, thank goodness.

Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 20:35

Still not back proper, but "Feb 06 - No DON'T put that in your mouth!"

CantSlimWontSlim · 11/03/2007 20:41

dd crying and coughing for 45 mins now as she's trying to settle herself - don't know where that came from. Waiting for medised to kick in now.

Or it seems 'Feb 06 - Do not eat the garden!'

Jelley · 11/03/2007 21:11

welcome back csws

DS fell asleep on the floor this evening while I was nit combing the dds (just to be safe , as I only have enough chemicals for me), so no bf

I'm off to bed in the hope of catching up on a bit of sleep.

CantSlimWontSlim · 11/03/2007 21:14

Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 21:36

I've read all that 3 times now and I can still only remember nits ( I find combing better than chemicals anyway), PG's little fella putting himself to bed, and CSWS's head feeling a bit better.

Finally finished as much of the form as I think I can manage, and head full of cold. I think DH has fallen asleep in the lounge (also feeling rough).

I still have stuff to add to the shop

Oh, took babies to the beach today... DS ate a lot of sand

3k · 11/03/2007 22:31

I had nits when I was pregnant and it was awlful, I managed to comb them out though, day I found them I sat in the bath and combed until the water went cold as I was feeling dreadful about having little wrigglers in my hair!!!! Ewwwwww!!

DH has NOT even called today to see how DS is, infact he hasnt spoken to me since 11am yesterday. Looks like DS is going to be low on his list of priorities too

Flamesparrow · 11/03/2007 22:42

I know that that must bloody hurt 3K, but trying to be silver lining lady here... at least Ben is not old enough to understand that daddy is being a wanker

3k · 11/03/2007 23:35

LOL Flame, it does really hurt. Cant believe after 9 years of being together it is coming to this!!

Frizbe · 12/03/2007 07:15

I'm going to read the thread in a bit when I've taken both dd's to nursery, but I'm knackered and have rather a lot of work to get thru today, since dd1 wet bed at 4am, then decided it was time to get up as wide awake and scream place down if anyone attempted to keep her in her room.....wouldn't even come into our bed....dh kinda dozed until he had to get up for work at 5.30, but as you can guess, neither of us are too happy, grrrrrrr and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Frizbe · 12/03/2007 07:15

I wish nursery opened at 4am!

Jelley · 12/03/2007 07:39

Some days I wish school started at 4. Not today though. DS was up at 4 but had milk and went back to sleep. All up at 6.30. I spent 1/2 hour in the shower combing, and feel better now.
DD1 wet the bed again last night I'm beginning to get worried. I may try and get a sample to see if she has an infection. She has never been great, but three times in one week is alot!

3k

I wish we lived near the beach.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 12/03/2007 08:21

Me too Jelley I think we live about as far from the sea as you can get! Nottingham city centre used to get turned into a beach for a month during summer but I'm guessing they've stopped that now, as they're just finishing doing it up.
for the nits still, lots of conditioner I take it? your supposed to do that with the combing if I remember rightly?
Have some teatree detangling spray from morrisions, which seems to be keeping them away from dd1 at nursery, as there are outbreaks here too.

Flame have maild ya hon!

3K {{{{{Hugs}}}}}} your doing so well hon, keep strong. Don't know if this is any use to you, but I'll tell you what my dh and his exwife did when they decided to split re the care of their son, who was also just 1 at the time. They decided that dh would have him one week Mon-Fri, which enabled ex-wife to go to Uni somedays and work others, plus she worked evenings too from what I remember (now a teacher) and then ex-wife would have him the next week and the weekends (although he often went to stay with his gran at weekends) This arrangement enabled them both to re build their lives seperately, also having time for a social life, but also gave stepson proper care and time with each parent. Obviously this was easier to do for dh as he's self employed, so decides when to work, but it could work for you guys too, as ss went into nursery when up at his mums during the week.

Macca, lol at the church, reminds me of my friends wedding last year

CSWS I hope I didn't read this wrong this time, but I think your on the mend! how is dd this am?

Like the eating thread titles
righty better go and do some work, have hair apptmt at 12:00, so get to relax then!

PhoenixGirl · 12/03/2007 08:23

ds woke up at 6 this morning when 1 of his dummys clattered onto the floor so i went in picked it up and went back to bed. I then woke up at 6.50 when dh came in from work

At 7.10 ish i brought ds into our bed for a bit and left him playing with dh on the bed while i got dressed. He went to sit up a little bit too close to the edge and fell off backwards on his head

Frizbe & Jelley - for bedwetting

3k - for the dh situation

I can't remember anymore

Flamesparrow · 12/03/2007 08:32

Will reply proper after school run, just wanted to say to the cloth ladies - i have listed starter kits... please could you not use the discount codes with them though as they are already approx 10% discount and I will end up paying you to take my nappies

CantSlimWontSlim · 12/03/2007 08:36

Think I can beat you on the lack of sleep Frizbe - dd's coughing/crying finally eased up enough for me to get to sleep about 11. At 12:20 she woke me again, and I was worried that she was having a reaction to something she'd ingested, so gave gripe water this time, which settled her quite quickly. I, on the other hand, couldn't get back to sleep until well after 3, and only managed about 15 mins before dh woke me again going out to airport. I then managed about another hour before waking again, and a final half hour before dd decided it was time to get up at 6:45. So that's a total of 3 hours. I think these new antibiotics might have a hand in my restlessness. They are also what I was worried was reacting in dd, but she does seem to have cold/cough this morning, so may be just coincidence.

for Lew's banged head and 3K's dh and for living near beach.

damewashalot · 12/03/2007 10:42

Hello, can't remember what have read as read ages ago but do know 3k needs hugs, I know it's hard having a marriage break up and it must be even worse with a child, keep coming on here and get as much rl support as you can, you will get through it.
Jelley, could be tiredness, I am feeling very low ATM myself, spending more time trying not to cry than is quite healthy I think but I think most of it is because I am so tired.
Going to go try make the house nicer see if that helps me feel better.
Sorry those I forgot will try to do better.

mustrunmore · 12/03/2007 11:45

is just what I thought, as she casually dropped in 'oh, went to the beach'!!

Managed to get 40 mins on the treadmill this morning Still only at a slow jog though ds1 was invited next door, and dh was around a bit to play with ds2. I really should've just got my act together and done the full hour instead of stopping. Might get another 15 mins in tonight if my Dad comes (think he's due , but I cant remember exactly what he said )

Dont worry about banged head; all good for toughening up for the real world

3k; I do think about you alot (says she, sounding a bit stalkerish!). However things turn out, you will get through it and be just fine). I totally understand that you are expecting your dh to phone every half day or so to see how things are. But I really dont think men, or life, is/are like that. It doesnt mean he's losing interest, I'm sure. Its just the way things pan out. Also, the time probably seems alot longer to you, because you're counting it closely. With your dh, he probably really doesnt see it as that long between calls etc. Hope I'm making sense and not digging myself into a pit or sounding unsympathetic here.

Did Nottingham really get turned into a beach? Thats very cool!! Nottingham is one of those places I've almost been to a few times

Flamesparrow · 12/03/2007 11:48

Will reply in a bit Frizbe Thank you

for bedwetters united. DD is off again - I think she is just plain tired and sleeping so soundly she isn't noticing. It seems to be first thing in the morning.

DS only woke once last night - hurrah

for bashed headed baby PG

argh, sould have left for school 5 mins ago - back soon!!

Jelley · 12/03/2007 12:07

mrm- for treadmilling.

3k - I worry about you too, when you aren't here as much [stalker alert!!!} I have no practical advice. Is it too early to try and set up definite access/phone call tmes so you don't watch the clock thinking is he going to call ?

I'm going to send a msu sample off for dd2 tomorrow. She had always wet the bed a bit, but not like this (mostly as she is a very heavy sleeper I think)

dame - you may be right about lack of sleep. I certainly feel better this morning after 6 hours unbroken, and another 2 after that.

I almost cried in Tescos this morning as I want cheap pram shoes for ds (he has nothing and is getting cold feet. They had 7 girl styles including lovely little green and pink wellies (obv not actually waterproof), and 2 boring boys ones, including the ones I bought before which fell off and gort lost the day I bought them.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 12/03/2007 13:37

I forget how lucky I am to be near the beach.

2boysmacca · 12/03/2007 14:00

I have o go and get some trainers for ds1 this afternoon. Now the weatehr is picking up he can't be wearing his big leatehr boots.

My folks are down again, sorting out the garden with dh. There is so much to do, they haven't even started levelling it yet

A very old uni friend is getting married in the summer and her bf is trying to organise her hen night. Unfortunately i think I am being priced out so not going to be able to make any of the frolics.

Sounds like ds2 is stirring. Time to get them ready to go shopping then.......

Flamesparrow · 12/03/2007 14:11

awww for pricing out

Jelley - boy stuff in general in Tesco is cr*p - I stood there for ages just trying to find boy socks!!!

Beach shots (sorry) in profile, as is DS in sink - clearly preserving his modesty and not playing with himself
