I have the 'I've got a good idea' but the beginning that always makes me want to strangle is 'er mummy'

It may well make the world go round but he can make it go round on his own

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 21:55

Jelley - betcha she'd have him if you put eyeliner and an eye patch on him

mustrunmore · 09/03/2007 22:01

He also does 'I know, you have McQueen and I'll have the King...' (or any other permutations of the 300 cars he has!!) Then you have to have a completely banal conversation between the cars. Ugh!

mustrunmore · 09/03/2007 22:01

It has to be the right type of man to look good in eyeliner

PhoenixGirl · 09/03/2007 22:04

There are first time mums on here you know, that u r scaring I'm particularly looking forward to why...........not

2boysmacca · 09/03/2007 22:04

I have the same conversation between a plastic rhino and elephant. it usually starts ' hello, I'm rhino, what's your name' Arghhhhhh di I really study quadratic equations to pretend I am a plastic arsed elephant?

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 22:07

B has most of these convs with Emrys, so I am saved

She is convinced he's started saying Bronwyn

CantSlimWontSlim · 09/03/2007 22:15

So rhino says to elephant - 'hello elephant, did you know that x = -b +/- route of b squared -4ac all divided by 2a?'
And elephant says - WTF?!

CantSlimWontSlim · 09/03/2007 22:17

Oh yes Jelley - things definitely are more interesting with small people, but the routine is still the same day in day out, and there's not much happening outside of keeping dd healthy and happy. Looking forward to the summer a bit when she can run around the garden lots having fun.

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 22:21

and eat mud...

MrCSWS · 09/03/2007 22:24

root not route

CantSlimWontSlim · 09/03/2007 22:24

Oops - MrCSWS has just pointed out that it is root, not route - damn that illiterate rhino .

MrCSWS · 09/03/2007 22:25

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 22:25

Ok so I got lost after the water cycle bit.... ya nattery lot!

MRM you did good on the running, don't worry hon, a bit every day will shift the fat away! don't be so hard on yourself, these things unfortunately take time.

CSWS thanks for the virtual biccy so far a dry night, but dd2 has woken twice with teeth for a cuddle with her hand rammed in the side of her mouth, going owowowowowowwowowo

Jelley twitter away hon, that's what we're hear for

Flame great advice from CSWS, but if you do need to vat reg at any point in time, make sure you earn shed loads more than just over the vat threashold, as being just over has caused us major cash flow probs, with having to pay the vat upfront(may not be so bad for you tho, as you'll get the cash before you need to pay it) plus accountants charge you lots more to deal with vat! can I just mention that for tax credit purposes, if you work 30 hrs a week self employeed, you'll get maximum benifits from them

Have a great weekend girls, sure I'll get to see you on here again as dh is working!!

3k · 09/03/2007 23:25

Chloe - when DH was here we used to argue like that, it's like competition as to who was the most tired etc. He does find DS hard work though so hopefully he does understand how my day can be. Dont bloody matter now though does it as I'm doing everything myself!!!

Jelly - definately speak to HV, I spoke to mine last week at DS's 12 month check and she is popping in on Monday to check on me and see if I'm ok. My HV is actually really nice, if you do have PND it is best to find out now hon and get the support you need.

DS still has the rash, it is really bad on his back. Wondering if it could be german measles??? There are loads and they are pink blotches just on his trunk and neck. Will see if they go over the weekend and if not will check with HV monday.

DH came in this morning to look after DS and actually played on the floor with him which he has hardly ever done, I think he has actually missed DS this week - just wish he could miss me a bit more Mind you I did have a saucy dream about my osteopath last night who I am seeing in the morning so perhaps I am starting to move on

Flamesparrow · 09/03/2007 23:33

@ dream 3K!

German measles is a sort of pretty rash iir from DD.

Friz - how do I prove that I am doing x amount of hours?

Jelley - just spotted your eurodisney news! yay!!! DD would love to go

Oh and Friz... what water cycle bit?

Jelley · 10/03/2007 06:20

Water cycle by macca:

Whilst in the car, it was raining and friend asked 'why is it raining. I said because the clouds are too heavy to hold all the water and they need to drop them somewhere and that somewhere happens to be where we are travelling. 'but why are they to heavy' he said. Because the clouds were greedy and took too much water from the sea and they couldn't carry it all. 'but why did they take too much' ..... sometimes it's better to just say 'i don't know, perhaps ask at nursery'

Dry bed vibes didn't work here 2nights in a row is unusual. I'm justr relieved it was a good drying day yesterday as I only have 2 sets of shets for her bed.

Tired here.

DP is working today, and ds thinks 5.00 is a good time to gt up.

I'm going to do as little as possible today. Make get well cards for mil(in hospital) and supervise homework. May manage a trip to the park if it stays dry.

Just quickly. 3k sounds like Scarlett Fever. There is an outbreak of it this way. We've been told to look out for high temperature follwed by red rash.

Off to make round 2 of breakfast......

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 16:33

How is it I read, think I take in, and then forget even reading it?!?!

Just a quick aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh from me again.

Flamesparrow · 10/03/2007 20:23

where is everybody??

CantSlimWontSlim · 10/03/2007 20:31

I'm over heeeeeeere!

Going to watch Meet The Fockers with dh now - had the dvd for years and still haven't ever seen it.

2boysmacca · 10/03/2007 20:47

watching crap on tv

Had a massive clear out of toys and clothes today. 3 piles of clothes, bin, give away and save. Toys all bagged up to send down to the charity shop.

Had a huge successful shop at Bluewater. Spent near on £* on clothes for the boys Hopefully it will keep them going for a few more months. I'm thinking ds1 will fit in all his shorts from last year.

The sizing are all over the place. Bought him some boxers from H&M age 1-2 they are huge and easily as big as next 2-3. I made the mistake of buying him next 3-4 last month and he looks like a 1950's footballer

Off to a christening tomorrow. gt to be out of he house by 7.30. How the heck will we manage that
