Wow, what lovely photos we all have!

sorry for shattering illusion mygirl

Stacey, your dd looks so cute in her bridesmaids outfit

Debs, think we may be a bit mad for trying again so soon but as I am still bf, we don't feel too bad at the mo!

staceym11 · 04/03/2007 18:24

why does no-one look like i expect?!?!?!

FLYing is a sorta routine you get into, theres a thread here on good housekeeping where someone usually links to the FLYlady website. Its all about baby steps towards your final goal.

eg. it tells you to swish and swipe (clean toilet and wipe round sink) every morning after you go to the toilet so it never gets in a horrible state. you also get a daily task such as wash bathroom mats, dust underneath the washing machine/tumble etc. some aren't relevent to everyone but sometimes all it takes is for the email reminder to come through and you've done something that usually takes 5 minutes but you never get round to doing.

iv acctually found its transformed my life. before dh owuld come home at the weekend and have to do a day of washing, but now i do one load a day having it washed, dried and put away before he comes home! and iv only been FLYing for a couple of weeks!

sorry that was a long ramble, probably not very interesting but its helped me!!!

thanks for the compliments. Yeah dd does look so sweet in her bridesmaid outfit and yes shes a cheeky little whatsit!!! wouldnt swap her for the world tho!

mygirl....do you use reuasable nappies? just wondering if you use them on dd3+4, coz im finding it a bit hard to get all the nappies washed each day. my bucket is full within 24hrs!!!

oh and anyone who has any reusable nappies they aren't using i'm trying to start a thing for young parents in my area to see, feel, and possibly even try reusable nappies as we are given very little information on them. If i'd been shown some with dd i would probably have used them from day 1. anyway back to what i was saying. If anyone has any they don't use anymore and wouldn't mind donating it would be really appriciated, i obviously would pay postage on anything and if it all goes tits up i will send them back so you can flog them on or whtever.

sorry for the essay people! if you've read this far im surprised you're not asleep!!!

fatbetty · 04/03/2007 21:48

Stacey, love the photos too. Can't believe how much Keiran has grown! You'll have to show me how to upload photos.

Maybe I should get DH to read the Flylady emails. I asked him to clean the toilets the other day while I was gone and he was very pleased with himself that he did it when I came back. He did a very good job cleaning the INSIDE of the toilet but completely forgot to clean the rest of it. Hmm....do you ever wonder what your house would look like if your DH or DP was solely in charge of cleaning the house? I sometimes shudder.

fatbetty · 04/03/2007 21:59

Oh, I'm so clever!!! I figured out the adding pictures thing!! Now I can show off my babies too!!

Unfortunately, all of my photos have mysteriously disappeared from their photo program. They are still on the computer (thank God for that!) but now have to import them all again and reorganise 4 years worth of photos. Argh!!!

Bethbe · 04/03/2007 22:19

FatBetty: Nope, DS1 doesn't sleep through the night. Night feeds are random, sometimes once, sometimes four/five times!

fatbetty, remind me to email you! we must meet up again soon!!! hope all the kids are ok!

Bethbe · 04/03/2007 22:47

I hope you don't mind, - but I'm uncomfortable about putting my photos up, - my husband is currently being stalked by his ex-girlfriend who he went out with a long time before he met me, - she's demanding money - and I'm a bit paranoid about her finding out about me but particularly DS1!

She's been doing some pretty nasty things!

staceym11 · 05/03/2007 06:38

oh bethbe, we understand. how scary for you! i dont like it when people act odd like that, you never quite know what to do about it!

well ds has got his last lot of jabs today (well for now anyway) which is good coz they seem to cause him to stop taking his milk properly and he only gets back on track 3-4 days before the next set, so with these being the last hopefully il end up with a baby who eats normally!

today i shall mostly be going food shopping and then cooking!!
this part of being a grown up sucks!

Hello everyone

George has been feeding constantly all night for the last two nights, if he does the same again tonight I will give him rice for lunch as well as dinner, by the time I got out of bed this morning I could barely stand up I was so exhausted, once I'd had a couple of pints of water and a double decker ( quickest thing I could get my hands on!!!) I was better, little bugger!!

DS1 is ill again, same bloody thing, the poor love has had one thing after the other these last couple of months, he has spent more time laid up on the sofa than he has at school. And I think I should buy shares in Calpol, I am sure I am keeping that company's profit margin sky high!

All of your pictures are lovely And I agree, no one ever looks like what you imagine!

Less than two weeks now till DS1's birthday, he still has no idea what a day he is going to have It has been really hard not to let him in on the secret when he is all poorly and could do with being cheered up but we have kept it all quiet so far!! It is so exciting!!

I am off to do George's rice, xxx

i don't soak the nappies at all, i dry pail with some tea tree drops so just wash whenever really!

NatalieJane · 06/03/2007 11:03

DS1 is really ill again, the poor thing woke up crying with headache, I gave him some more Calpol and he is feeling a bit better now, but we are off to the doctors this afternoon, he has had the max dose Calpol and Ibuprofen day and night for four days now, if the doctor says give him Calpol again I think I might scream. I don't really know what else I expect him to say, but there must be something they can do? Aside from anything else, this is going to be another week off school, and I know it is only reception, so it doesn't really matter, but he is at the moment progressing with his reading and writing really well and I don't want him to fall behind with it, or struggle with any of it.

And George was up all night again feeding, I ended up putting him at the side of me in bed and I was just drifting in and out sleep, I couldn't sleep properly though because I was worried I might roll over and squash him, he was making the snuffly sounds they do and then needed winding every 1/2 hour or so, I need some sleep in our own bed, on our own, without babies and ill kids planted everywhere!!

Hope everyone else is having an easier time of it xxx

staceym11 · 06/03/2007 11:30

oh Nj hope everything/one gets better poor you, think you could do with a rest!!!

well ds is now a stone, only problem is his weight is now dipping, he still doesnt eat properly and they'r getting worried about him, shes told me to try solids and see if that will settle him enough to drink the milk (we have more problems when he has an empty tummy!) but if not he might need refering, why will this child not jsut eat properly??? i cant bear it, feels like im doing something wrong!

NatalieJane · 06/03/2007 20:40

Thanks Stacey, sounds like you are having just as much fun!

The doc checked him over and gave him some penicilin. He has been sparked out on the sofa since we got back, I think the trip out just exhausted him.

And now me and DH both have sore throats, so it looks like it isn't going to get any better just yet!

Oh well, it could be worse! xxx

Debbsyandson · 07/03/2007 09:23

Well im knackered ds awake every 2 hours last night think we are having a growth spurt.
Podge i found somewhere that did baby massage just up the road from us,we went on monday and ds loved it,mind you so did i lol,and it was good cos i got to meet some local mums
Hello everyone else (cant look down the thread yet as im too tired but will try and catch up later).

podglet · 07/03/2007 09:36

Debbsy - glad you found somewhere for baby massage and you both enjoy it. We have been practising at home and I don't know which bit DS enjoys more, the being naked or Mummy playing with his legs & tummy i also think I might join you on the growth spurt front, we were also up a lot last night and I am exhausted - have a hug.

Stacey - babies are funny little things aren't they/ Higs for you, ds is still messing about with his feeds so I can sympathise a little.

NJ - your poor DS1, he has been so poorly, hope the penicillin start to kick in soon.

Hope everyone else is ok, I'm off to nap on the sofa now DS has gone to sleep

Debbsyandson · 07/03/2007 09:40

Same here podge xx

NatalieJane · 07/03/2007 11:00

Morning all

DS1 had a major tantrum at his dad this morning because we wouldn't let him go to school, I calmed him down and he fell asleep and didn't wake till about 10.20, he is feeling better now, but it is only when the Calpol is in his system, we can't get it through to him that if he goes to school, the teacher won't give him his medicine and he will feel poorly again. Poor little love, 3 weeks of hardly anything solid to eat, he is all scrawny and pale with big bags under his eyes

DH isn't too bad, and actually when I woke up I felt awful, but it isn't so bad now. George woke me up this morning lying in his cot laughing his head off, it was the best way to wake up ever !!! I have just ordered him a Fisherprice Jumperoo, it looks great I am a bit worried, but don't know if I should be, he doesn't seem to move his left arm very much, he can move his right arm to play with his gym, or swot us in the face, but his left only seems to move a little bit and he doesn't seem to have any control over it. So I ordered him this to try and coax his left arm out to play! He has his next injections on the 15th so I will ask the HV then if I should be worried, DS1 had full control over his head and arms from birth so I've no idea when these sort of things should be kicking in!

Right I am off to do the next bum change and feed I love being a mum (Not meant sarcastically at all, I think I had just got to the point with DS1 where I was feeling a little bit un-needed, then George comes along and all of a sudden I have something to do again )

See you all later xxx

staceym11 · 07/03/2007 11:27

NJ you'll prob find hes just right handed, dd never did things with her left hand, even if you tried to hand her things (at about 6-8month) in her left she'd only take it in her right, she now uses both but is definately right handed!

staceym11 · 07/03/2007 11:28

oh and thanks for the hugs everyone, just feel like im battling every meal time, he screams when a bottle is put in his mouth, yet will eat purree fine, arrrgghhH!!!!!
