good morning!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Charleesunnysunsun · 02/05/2007 08:22

Glad it's all ok NJ, and don't worry about being 'known' in the dr's i go in mine at least once a day to pick up a prescription for one of my family wither that or to see the dr.
Talk of embarassing things though i rang our local Domino's pizza last night and when i said my name they knew who i was, where i lived and what order we have! Who eats to much pizza aye!

Charleesunnysunsun · 02/05/2007 08:25

I as also going to suggest a ne thread now the little'uns are getting bigger! Wanted to think of something increadly witty but my brain seems to not be in top gear today!

NatalieJane · 02/05/2007 08:28

LOL Our chinese is like that, every Saturday night (and the very odd time in the week if DH is home late or something) we have the same thing at the same time, our bloke once asked us if we just wanted him to send our order out with out us ringing once, we'd have said yes if it wasn't for the odd time we are away for the weekend!! And they send us a Christmas card every year with our names on it

NatalieJane · 02/05/2007 08:31

Charlee it would have to have the worst swear words, stomache churning references to 'personal issues' and a mention of SWMNBN to get all of MN on our case in one fell swoop Go on, I dare you

LeBe · 02/05/2007 10:10

HaHa you 2 with your best friend takeaways!!!

I feel very left out now that when i go to get something to eat i dont get a friendly hello with name included and a xmas card each year. But be assured i am not a saint of the healthy eating i just change my mind alot and go to different places all the time.

Glad im not the only one who is at the docs every bloody day!

Can i ask does everyone elses ds/dd end up in the cot the wrong way round and upside on their tummies with their legs sticking through the bars or just mine!!?

Can i be thick and ask what SWMNBN is?

NatalieJane · 02/05/2007 10:18

LOL Lebe, George always ends up upside down normally with the blanket wrapped around him, normally on his front with his arms trapped under him Not got to the sticking legs through the cot bars because he is still in our room in a travel cot which obviously has the mesh sides but I remember DS1's little legs getting stuck in his. It is what they do, and who cares if they get upside down as long as they sleep?!!!!

SWMNBN um, not sure how to tell you about it, it stands for 'she who must not be named', there is an on going legal situation between MN and a certain somebody, I think the details are on the MN home page if you want to have a look. I'm not sure how much more than that I can say

podglet · 02/05/2007 15:40

Lord Lebe, DS moves around like nobody's buisness whilst asleep. Foot of the cot, top of the cot, right way up, upside down, on his tummy, on his side, legs through the sides you name it...

at NJ & Charlee too, we are more fickle than that and go about a bit, depending on what we fancy.

Hmm, new thread title - my sharp wit leaves me when I have to think of things like this. I shall ponder!

LeBe · 02/05/2007 16:51

Oh pk i know who you mean now just wasnt sure about the abbreviation.

Im not even going to try to think of a thread name i have baby brain (for the last 6months).

Sorry another question for you all, you are all much more helpful that the hv!! ds has a rash under his chin round to each ear i think its heat rash but any suggestions on how i can help it cos i dont know how to keep it cool other than make him look up all day and night.

mygirllollipop · 02/05/2007 18:49

LeBe sounds like a saliva rash to me, it'll get better.

mygirllollipop · 02/05/2007 18:49

NJ - hope ds is OK atm?

podglet · 02/05/2007 21:02

Sprry NJ, meant to mention DS1 - how is he doing now?

Lebe, afraid no idea about the rash but what mygirl says makes sense.

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 02/05/2007 22:17

sob

Nobody loves me - I'm going into the garden to eat worms

Popped back to say hello to everyone last week and got ignored...

Bye bye

LadyAnne

NatalieJane · 02/05/2007 23:31

Lebe, only thing you could do to help it really is to try and wipe the dribble away (kind of like painting the seven bridge though, by the time you've finished wiping, it has started again - teething, I think the worst stage a baby goes through, for baby and mums!)

LA, just wrestle yourself back in I don't think anyone meant to ignore you, stomp, stamp, scream and shriek until we take notice

DS1 is loads better thanks BTW, I am pretty certain he has pulled a muscle, but he has never done it before and I think it scared him. I think he is generally feeling a little bit unsettled at the moment, all the talk of moving abroad and everything, perhaps we have said a bit too much and he is worked up about it, he absolutely hates change, so we are reining it in a bit and seeing how it goes.

G'night xxx

saralou100 · 03/05/2007 09:00

hellllllloooooooooooooooo!!!

been at longleat the last 2 days.. had such a fantastic time! stayed in a posh hotel (not child friendly, so you can imagine my boys went down well ) and did the safari bit twice! fab! didn't maage it all, but ds1 ran everwhere that he could!!

only thing that pee'd me off was the pushchair.... even managed to have a row with dp over it... so my wonderful mil (bet you never heard those two words in a sentence together before!) has bought me a phil & teds! i'm so so so excited and i'm now the proud owner of 3 pushchairs!! what a collection i'm building

OP posts:
saralou100 · 03/05/2007 09:15

OP posts:
LeBe · 03/05/2007 12:20

Oh Saralou - get you with your 3 pushchairs anyone would think you were a celebrity. I have a humble 2. One big bulky one that was lay down for birth which is indoors for when we walk somewhere (it has alot of dust!!) andour little nippy buggy in the boot of the car (It gets lots of use!!) I dont know if i fall in the catogry of ignoring you ladyanne cos i dont think i was back but hi and i agree worms are gross!!!

podglet · 03/05/2007 12:43

Oh LA, so sorry. Hope you and Taro are doing ok? Please don't eat worms, it's not nice and you will give your DS ideas...

Glad DS1 is better NJ

saralou100 · 03/05/2007 12:45

so i may be back to 2 pushchairs and ptsd!!

OP posts:
saralou100 · 03/05/2007 13:22

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 03/05/2007 14:47

PMSL at eBay cherry

Our cat brought in a bird for her breakfast this morning, so guess who has spent all day disinfecting and fumigating the kitchen all day? But I have managed to cook a chicken, I think... if you don't see me again I have probably killed us all with bird flu or something!!

DS1 is off school again, we all have really bad coughs/chests/sore throats.... I am so sick of it, I can't remember the last time we were all healthy and normal on the same day. And poor little George hasn't 'alf got a cough on him, he looks really poorly, eyes bright red and bulging out of his face

Right got to go and take the chicken out of the oven, I don't think I have ever taken a chicken out of anything except Tesco and KFC before so wish me luck, if the bastard falls on the floor or something I think I might actually go stark raving mad!!

saralou100 · 03/05/2007 15:18

(fecking ebay... not doing that again.. grumble grumble, whinge whinge!) it's given me a headache.. might have saved mil a lot of money, but not blooming worth it!! although the seller bloke is lovely and helpful and understanding.. i'm close to tears!!

so you cooked chicken!!! well done nat!!!

OP posts:
podglet · 03/05/2007 15:27

So today has been one for cherries...

Sara's ebay cherry
nat's chicken cooking cherry (assume it's not on the floor)

anyone else got any?

NJ - I have also got that cold / sore throat thing - it's not nice. Germy hugs for you!

We are doing really well at not bf. DS has taken to the bottle like a dream now he is on the follow on stuff. I am not sore and expressing off about 6 oz each evening to relieve a bit and slow down my supply til there's nothing left. I will gradually reduce the amount I express off each day. It's very sad, pouring it away bt I can't risk DS getting the taste back and then refusing the formula.

He does keep pulling at my top and looking at me all wistfully, like Puss in Boots from Shrek... breaks my heart

podglet · 03/05/2007 15:31

Have just added a couple more pics. One of the christening and one of DS with one of my friends twins. A prize goes to who guesses the difference in age...

NatalieJane · 03/05/2007 16:12

It is cooled and in the fridge - in one piece

Podlet, lovely pictures, I am no good what so ever at guessing babies (or adults) ages, so I wouldn't like to say.

On with the hoovering - that is certainly not a cherry moment

mygirllollipop · 03/05/2007 16:38

I guess approx 1yo.
NJ well done
Hi LA
