Good drief, I wander away for 24 hours and look what happens...

NJ - How v v scary for you. I hope George is much better and you have all got some sleep. Don't beat yourself up about wrapping him up, you did what you thought was best. I would have done exactly the same if DS had been like that.

Debbsy - hope things are improving at home.

Stacey - v of your new (to you ) Quinny Zapp - I really like them. We are going to have to get a new lightweight buggy soon for when we go on hols. I quite like the Maclaren one too.

Saralou - I got buggy envy yesterday. I saw a double buggy where the babies sat facing each other - it was so cool! I don't even have 2 babies and I wanted one! The toddler sat facing out and the baby sat facing mum pushing...

Well, hope everyone has better days today xx

podglet · 29/03/2007 09:41

Good Grief even...

staceym11 · 29/03/2007 09:47

Morning all

Well his temp kept creeping up last night then about 3 o'clock he was sick - everywhere - but it seemed to help and the temp has been going down and down since, he is now dressed he looks weird with clothes on now!!

I left him with DH this morning and nipped in to get that thermometre, it has recorded everything between 36.8 and 37.6 so I think that means it's OK.

Sorry to everyone for going on and on yesterday, I think I was in a bit of a mess and thanks as well for not saying "Oh FFS shut up will you!!"

Stace we are going to buy the Zapp for when we go on hols in August, my pram that I wanted was the Quinny Buzz, I did have the money ready, all £600 of it and so badly wanted it, but my sister who has inside knowledge managed to talk me out of it, and I must say I am that pleased with the Microlite I got instead I am pleased she did now

I have forgotten everything else in the thread so so so tired....

staceym11 · 29/03/2007 12:06

oh NJ we wouldnt have told you to shut up, its so worrying when the los are even mildly ill, you had a major shock!! dont be hard on yourself!!

we're off to sunny skegness! lol my nan owns a caravan and we'r all going up (me dh the kids my mum and my nan, which will be lovely as i will be able to leave my children and go out with dh! also may even get a lie in

should be fun even if the weather is horrible!!

i think i can profess (sp?) that dd is well and truely potty trained!! my lovely little girl caught on so quickly!! she hasnt had an accident in nearly a week and i started less than 2 weeks ago!! shes great even when we'r out now! she managed to hold it for nearly 20 minutes for me yesterday while out shopping!! im so proud of her!! Glad too, my washing has been so much less with only ds in nappies! lol!

have to admit we'll be using disposables on holiday as theres no washing machine and i want a holiday too!!

NatalieJane · 29/03/2007 12:10

Thanks Stace

We had a week in Skeggy as kids, it was great, and I am told next week is supposed to be lovely weather wise, so make the most of it!

NatalieJane · 29/03/2007 12:11

Ooops meant to say as well, a great big well done to your DD, just shows she was ready for it

staceym11 · 29/03/2007 12:14

yeah she was just too lazy to show any signs of being ready for it!

mygirl you should be proud of dd31, she was obviously ready too!! good girl!

staceym11 · 29/03/2007 12:19

ok that will teach me to not preview should read dd3 not dd31 dont think you've quite had that many!

NatalieJane · 29/03/2007 12:19

They don't always, DS1 was coming up to his 3rd birthday, I decided I'd give him a gentle nudge in the right direction, we had accident after accident, he then had Gastro-enteritus (sp?) and was in hospital for a while so he was back in nappies, and about two weeks after he was discharged we started with the potty again, he didn't like it at all so in desparation I told him to use the toilet instead and he didn't have even one accident, even at night

NatalieJane · 29/03/2007 12:22

Sorry last post was for Stacey

Mygirl, well done to DD3 as well And don't worry, I was that out of it yesterday if anyone had have told me to sod off I would have probably ploughed straight on anyway!! LOL

saralou100 · 29/03/2007 12:30

i think ds1 is gonnabe a toilet user rather than potty's! either that or he's gonna be in nappy's forever!! he's actually scared of them, so i'm not pushing it! he's just started announcing all his poo's.. sits their going 'poo pooo poo pooo poo poo poo' until it gets changed!

lots of fiesty aries in your family then mygirl!!

nat! as if.. why would we tell you to shut up.. your mad sometimes!!

saralou100 · 29/03/2007 12:32
