Oooh summer nights are like that round me I live in student central so a walk to the main road on a summer night, and you could be in Turkey

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 01/03/2007 21:23

Evening all.

Bit late, but my answers macca:
c) Think 'Oh my goodness, how did Pippa miss the opportunity to throw these on the floor?'
c) making the bed would never happen (from either of us, unless it's time for a bedding change)

lol @ the knickerless B (and Chloe!)

Nappy starter kit sounds like great prize flame.
You'll soon stop missing boy and just accept that you're an old married couple and communication with each other is just passe and pointless, as he'll deny all knowledge of anything that he agreed to at a later point.

Fab cake Jelley.

Well feeling a little bit more human this evening - now have antibiotics, so hoping that they are kicking in rather than it just being another temporary reprieve (like last night). Had to have a lie down when dd was napping this afternoon (after I'd mediseded and milked her half an hour in when she woke) - was bliss until I had to get up again and dd screamed at me for over an hour for no fathomable reason . Not sure if there's something up with her or not at the mo, as she woke around 20 times last night too (longest only for 3 or 4 mins, but annoying for us both nonetheless).

2boysmacca · 01/03/2007 21:30

I've noticed a change in ds2's behaviour in the last couple of weeks. He has a real temper when he doesn't get his own way. No idea where that comes from He's had 2 days of no afternoon sleep, I'm hoping he doesn't go the way of his brother

No bed making in any of your households? Would you all think I'm a bit obsessive if I tell you even ds2' s growbag is laid out once he's out of bed? Ds1 is never made

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

I'm flagging, gonna have to call it a night once I've finished wrking. Just a few more payments to amke and then it's Night all

2boysmacca · 01/03/2007 21:32

lol at the deny all knowledge. Even ds1 has mastered the art of that little beauty , but then his father is the master of it

Jelley · 01/03/2007 22:05

macca - just don't start a thread asking if everyone makes their beds. They'll all come on and say yes of course, and make us look bad.

If you communicate with your dh by email you have evidence of things he's agreed to We all read mr csws ok ing the June night out.

I write it all on the calendar (dp would have trouble turning the computer on (if I ever turned it off))

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 22:11

@ a dp having probs turning the computer on!!!

I make beds when I am FLYing - and on a good day I fold DS's blanket nicely

mustrunmore · 01/03/2007 22:15

I am the least house proud person I know, but i do always make my bed, as much as you can 'make' a duvet! Its largely because I've waited all my life to have a huge bedrom, and now I've finally got one, I want it to look stunnig all the time. Obviously, I turn a blind eye to the toys all over the floor, as they are essantial for keeping the boys amused at 5am when they wake up, while I lie in bed napping. The theory is that I am supervising if we all stay in one room. Although we both fell back asleep this morn, when only ds2 was awake. Woke to hear muffled cries; the freestanding wooden towel rail thing that we use as a clothes dumping ground had toppled onto him

mustrunmore · 01/03/2007 22:18

Glad you're human again csws. You reminded me; the test results from the hosp came through for ds1; they were wrong to diagnose urinary infection . Gp reckons it was a viral thing. So we've prob infected a few people in the last few days We thought he was 100% better, but he fell asleep after nursery today... whilst on dh's shoulders

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 22:18

I'm not that good... I made DD's room as child friendly as possible, and shut the stairgate on them in there

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 22:19

aww

mustrunmore · 01/03/2007 22:20

We had to do something about our tairgate. You know how it says to use the screw-to-the-wall bits if in use for a long time? We never bothered with ds1. But ds2 yanked on it so hard today it nearly came away, and then he 'd have been falling down the stairs with a large metal gate.We have now put the screw cups on the wall!

mustrunmore · 01/03/2007 22:22

And he was upset because I forgot it was World Book Day, and loads of his classmates dressed up, but he didnt Bad bad parent.

Right, off to bed before one of them wakes up! Dh wont be home from work till 9am tomorrow morning, so i'm making the most of my big bed to myself[ grin]

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 22:26

That SWMNBN advert is really starting to irritate me now.

Forgetting things like world book day is one of my biggest parenting fears For some reason our school isn't doing it til Monday

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2007 22:28

you do at least have a stair gate up upstairs....

PhoenixGirl · 01/03/2007 22:32

Hi,

ds did another model casting today so fingers x'ed he'll get some more work from it

Oh god i can't remember owt to reply to just let me go back and look again

PhoenixGirl · 01/03/2007 22:38

right,

pmsl @ no knickers

pah to ironing and going to the gym macca

Like the cake jel

mrm i could def think of better things to do than go for a run

dh is home from work now so i'll be off to bed shortly. night

2boysmacca · 02/03/2007 08:21

Pg when he does the photo shoot, do you know what it's for i.e. M&P etc?

Ds1 has been up since 4! I am taking them both to toddler group and he's gonna be in such a mood as he'll be too tired. I just hope he sleeps this afternoon.

PhoenixGirl · 02/03/2007 08:26

Last time i knew it was m&p macca but this time i don't know who its for. The people who did yesterdays casting were the people who did the photography for m&p and they remembered him which might help him get the job

Chloe55 · 02/03/2007 08:56

We have a stairgate everywhere it seems in this house! Ds likes to wander off on his own so I have made downstairs 'safe' so he can wander has he pleases - is wander right? or is it wonder? Looks weird now!

We are bed makers, it does my head in to get into an unmade bed.

What adverts are you on about Flame, I don't know what happened with your nappy issue, is it something to do with that? Email me if you like, I'm intrigued.

Flamesparrow · 02/03/2007 09:26

Lol - no, there is an advert for Five Life that keeps popping up on here, it is about a documentary with a baby guru. I keep seeing it though and its irritating me.

Nappies seems to have settled... I think I know what the issue is - will send out another mass mailing (Frizbe, did anyone forward the first one? I couldn't remember what your rl name was and couldn't find your email )

Flamesparrow · 02/03/2007 10:12

I think we might have a logo winner...

Opinions again please (You know you're loving this really... you are helping to create a wondrous thing )

damewashalot · 02/03/2007 12:31

Flame, just had a card with this in an amazon parcel thought could be of use to you.

2boysmacca · 02/03/2007 12:51

I'm a really bad mum . Ds1 has just had the mightiest of tantrums and I smacked him very hard and forcefully put him on the sofa. I then phoned dh in tears and begged him to come home because I was afraid that I would hurt him. All this whilst he is screaming, opening the front door and running outside, screaming and coming back in

He's now, after 1.20 mins calmed down but I can't even speak to him. He keeps saying sorry and crying that he wants a cuddle, and I can't. I am so close to crying again.

Ds2 fell asleep through all this commotion

damewashalot · 02/03/2007 13:19

Oh macca honey don't be so hard on yourself, these things happen sometimes, my ds2 has driven me to that point and I really don't believe in smacking but I have, feel dreadfull afterwards. I would just give him a big cuddle and talk about how him being naughty makes mummy sad and that mummy getting cross makes him and mummy both sad, that usually does the trick with mine and calms us both down. Hope you are feeling better.

damewashalot · 02/03/2007 14:30

Not likely to get on again until after the weekend as ds1's party is at 5 and I don't get on here at weekend much anyway but this one is going to be busy with lots of people popping in sunday. So........ Happy Birthday Neve
