Ah, see I was an afternoon runner. Used to finish work about 2pm (started at 6am), then straight to the gym in winter, or run home in summer (me and dh worked 5 mins away from each other, so could meet and do it together). No run tonight, as boys still very unsettled and I cant trust myself to hear/see every little squeak on the monitor. But dh not working till 10pm tomorrow, so I have the choice of anytime at all except the teatime/bedtime bit!
Think ds1 overdid it today; while I was shopping this morn, dh agreed to him going to soft play with our neighbour (very kind of her to offer), then he had nursery, then a friend over to play straight after. He actually asked to go to bed at the same time as ds2 instead of having his extra 10 mins

csws... thank you sooo much for the piratey card!!! He got it this morning and was suitably appreciative.

Hope none of you loons actually bought the mag at £2.70. You're supposed to read it in WHSmiths!

I had a great morning. A very kind mnetter had £50 in Adams vouchers that she couldnt use online, and sent them to me I got a jacket for a friends son, then ds1 had 3 tops, 2 jumpers, 1 trousers, and 1 pair baseball boots, and ds2 had a shirt and trousers, a jacket, and jogging bottoms They're both kitted out for the next year or so, ds2 obviously longer as he has the hand me downs Its just unbelievable really.

Er, can we have a little poll of how much you lot all weigh? Not that it matters or will affect me, except that it might give me a good kick up the bum

2boysmacca · 28/02/2007 19:49

How much do you run now, times a week and mileage a session? You have a running machine?

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 20:09

You know, it so sporadic with being on my own so much, that I couldnt put figures to it since ds2 was born. But by this years Race for Life, I'd like to be doing 3 times a week, an hour a session. Bit feeble, but I think thats realistic given the constraints.I really dont know what distance that will be covering though.
Before ds1 was born, I used to do 5 days a week, sometimes 6, averaging say 50 km a week. But obviously sometimes doing more time, sometimes more distance.
Best 5km race time was 22 mins, best half marathon time 2hrs 5 mins. But largely just pleased to have been literally a mile ahead of dh on that one!!
My treadmill is my pride and joy. Got it for £850 instead of £2800 by importing from Germany (although now have a squeaky shock absorber and its a PITA to get parts ordered!). So the cost of it was actually just our combined annual gym fee, which we had to stop going to when we moved house anyway (none close enough now, esp as we rely on buses). God, I miss that more than anything in the world. I really wish we had family that could babysit!

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 20:10

And i miss those runs home; Baker Street to Muswell Hill/ Friern Barnet borders, through Hampstead

2boysmacca · 28/02/2007 20:33

Wow thats pretty impressive! If I had a running machine, I'd come through the ceiling! House too small, no spare room

Where are you then for bus only routes? When I first met dh he was living in Woodside Park. Actually, he lived there for a year but spent about 5 nights there in total. He moved in just as I'd bought a flat and I was the other end of the Northern Line!

We moved here to move closer to family so they could babysit (well that was the idea when we moved out of London) Unfortunately we may be nearer to my folks in time , but we're still miles away

PhoenixGirl · 28/02/2007 20:52

Can all you size 10 skinny people/gym freaks shut up please.

Even pre Lewis i was fat and am even fatter now

i'm a sze 18 atm. I looked in my wardrobe the other day and counted 10 pairs of size 16 jeans i can't get into. If i can just get my head round a diet i can do it i lost 17lb a few month back but had a day off dieting then with 1 thing and another never started it again

I even started running round the block with the dog but lasted all of a week.

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 20:59

What makes you think the treadmill is upstairs?

RE the gym locations; its a matter of time really. The bus takes so much longer than if we had a car! There's one or two closer, but no way affordable (plus a real spit and blood one very close!). Our gym was £830 pa for the both of us because we'd been there forever. Now, there's one that takes 3 buses, or one that takes either 2 buses, or one bus thats only every 20 mins or so. So, at best, dh might get in at 6pm,so I could be at the gym by 7ish. But usually, he's home well past 8.30, or 11.30pm if its late shifts. It saves all that faffing about on a cold bus to have my treadmill (and believe me, it was a hard decision, as it was literally the last of my life savings, after I'd put the rest into buying this house!) As the boys get bigger, it is easier to run if they're in bed and I'm alone. But I do miss the out-of-the-house time that the gym gives you, and the sauna, and the pool, and the weights.

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 21:01

Pgirl, I've gone from a size 10 to a 16 from having the boys (I'll have your spare 16 jeans!! ), and I've never been so unhappy about myself in my life. I also feel that my biological clock is ticking, as it'll get harder and harder to lose it as I get older. I have a huge wardrobe of clothes, but only fit into the same 6 or so items I wear all the time.

Jelley · 28/02/2007 21:10

I'm very at all the exercise you lot do. I have no idea what I weigh(no scales)but am mostly a size 10, but still with the flabby belly and thighs, and no breasts at all
I really need to exercise (and eat less chocolate)

Are you really a 16 mrm?
You looked slimmer when we met last.

Chloe55 · 28/02/2007 21:11

I am pre-pg weight (11stone 4lbs) but have a completely different body shape, I hate it. If I could afford lipo I would seriously consider it, the stretch marks don't help much either

I went on a hen do last year though and there was a girl on that who had a gorgeous figure and lovely toned tummy. I noticed loads of stretchmarks (they weren't obvious but you know us women ) Anyway, got chatting with her - she has a seven year old and she was a size 18 afterwards and with loads of willpower, exercise and healthy eating she was down to a size 10 and looking fabulous. With that figure I wouldn't fret over my stretch mearks - she is my inspiration without a doubt.

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 28/02/2007 21:17

Sure I dug out some clothes for you mrm - think there was a pair of size 16 jeans in there (though not trendy ones ) - must find what I did with them!

I'm, how shall I put this, much much heavier than you, but you didn't need me to tell you this! Size 16 is my ideal dream size!

I was thinking I really should get the cross trainer back in from the shed (it's an all singing all dancing version too), but have no idea where I'd put it now. Used to be in the conservatory, but we have a sofa in there now. Maybe we could move the table out (only use it for dumping stuff on), but dh will undoubtedly moan. Really could do with some exercise though, to give me back some energy.

I didn't take a break during the Xenical mrm, so can't tell you there. The ones I had were, iirc, capsules to begin with.

Glad you got the card. No doubt 'suitably appreciative' means he ignored it and played with the envelope, but expect it made his mum smile!

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 21:27

You'd prob be suprised. Although I know I look huge, I do weigh even more than I look. I'm at least 2 stone more than dh at the mo, which is very depressing.
There's a nice space for your crosstrainer in my house

Jelley, if you were a man (or a lesbian!), i'd be going all wobbly and fluttery you're such a flatterer, thanks!!

Actually, ds2 did really study his cards, which suprised me as ds1 never bothers. Loved the 'lesser of two weevils' My sense of humour!

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 28/02/2007 21:28

That was my fave bit too!

2boysmacca · 28/02/2007 21:30

I'm a size 10 and 10 stone. My shape has really changed, I never had boobs before and for me they are now enormous. I have a huge belly, before it was very toned and defined. I have stretchmarks that only came at week 37 of second pregnancy and the amount I got certainly made up for those I missed in my first pregnancy. I want to lose 1.5 inches around my waist and I'd be ahppy and tone my legs back to how they were.

I was looking at photos of me pre kids earlier, god I look so young. Who dares post a before and after photo?

I refrained on the wine tonight.

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 21:34

I'd dare, if i could be bothered to work out how the 'new' scanner works . Friend gave it us 3 weeks ago and can still only print out on it(its a 3 in 1)!!!

I suppose my one bit of luck is that I no longer have the 'worst stretchmarks I've ever seen' as the gp told me at my 6 week check! Still there ,and all over the belly, but silver now not purple. I had none with ds1. Cant help thinking I might just have pulled my body out of the quagmire if I'd stopped at one

Jelley · 28/02/2007 21:35

Before and after what? Not much difference before and after ds, unless I'm naked!
As you said, clothes hide alot.

Before children I was scarily skinny, but have no digital pics to prove it

Jelley · 28/02/2007 21:38

mrm- I have a 3 in 1 thing, and I can't work the scanner ....I've had it 18 months

It took about 2 years for my body to get into a shape I was ok with after dd2, so don't give up. (It may have happened quicker if I had done some exercise beyond double buggy pushing)

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 21:51

Thanks Jelley (apart from the 3 in 1 help!)

There's 2 pics here I could only find one of me post ds1 (pre digital before that!). I'm the one in the red&white top, still 2 stone more than before having him, but much smaller than now. The pg shot is me with ds2, to show why I'm so huge now. As Jelley will confirm , he's a big boy! Oh, and the other one is ds1 when he was still a cutie

Jelley · 28/02/2007 21:54

Your ds1 is still a cutie

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 21:57

Maybe, when his hair grows back BTW, he mentioned 'those Emily girls' the other day

mustrunmore · 28/02/2007 21:59

Oh, and while I've got you... have you got a top of the ear piercing,or am I overdoing you in my imagination?! If you have, how much did it hurt? Have the urge creeping up, as I know I promised no more tattooes

2boysmacca · 28/02/2007 22:00

Holy moses, were you having twins?

I only have a few pre boys on digital. I'll upload them, but my sister is in it and she'll have a fit if she knew. They'll be up for 5 mins and then I'll delete them. Shhhh! She'll hopefully never know!

Give me a minute or 2

PhoenixGirl · 28/02/2007 22:02

I've got top ear piercing. Had it done at 16 (so 10 years ago) and as i remember it didn't really hurt any more than other ear piercings. (but pain is easily forgotton )

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 28/02/2007 22:02

Ok, I'm game, but don't have that many pics of me (I'm normally behind the camera).
Here's me very pre dd (on honeymoon), but it's the clearest of my body shape (and won't be up for long!)
Here's me at my worst, about 10 weeks preg the first time around, pre Slimming World.
And here's me 4 months pregnant with dd - not a very clear body shot, but I have almost no photos from around this time.

CanSleepWeirdShifts · 28/02/2007 22:04

You did look fab mrm - can't believe that was after gaining 2 stone. Can understand a little better why you're so down on yourself now (not that I think you're fat now, but it's all relative and all that).
