Hopefully this works...

So we can keep in touch and pass on words of wisdom!

Perhaps someone clever could link to the stats?

Thanks ladies for welcome home! Almost worth the last week as being here is so good! Also good to know there is no feeding pattern. Maurice is just doing his newborn thing - feel better for reassurance .

Ah great beaut that you're feeling better. Think it's so important that we're kind to ourselves! Maurice is a feeding monster - well has been over the last few days aNd we've been topping him up with either EBM or 20 ml of formuka at night so I get 2 hours kip at a time. Also Teddy and his baby doll are adorable! What a lovely idea.

DH has decided to use a week of holiday - had a happy cry as just wanted more family time before he goes back to work.

I'm using Lansinoh - wouldnt have survived without it! Nips are just really sore and getting used to being the all day/night buffet. indians - your day sounds very familiar, though he's giving my boobs a bit break this afternoon, which probs means he'll feed all night....oh sleep....

becks Ben is gorgeous!

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 23/07/2016 16:58

Teddy just tried using my breast pump over his nipple because "me can feed Monty-Beau too mummy". Don't worry he couldn't figure out how to turn it on but was trying to place it correctly and copy me Grin. I tried to get a picture but he moved too fast. Just thought I'd give you all a laugh.

Cheery1 · 23/07/2016 18:27

Ah that is so cute!!!!

dats · 23/07/2016 19:05

Bless Teddy Smile

Having a feed marathon couple of days here, too. Exhausting! Growth spurt at 7-10 days apparently so I'm hoping that's what it is! I think this is about the tenth feed of the day, starting from 8 this morning. But some are annoying sleepy snacks.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 23/07/2016 19:45

I'm having an absolute nightmare of a day. I've fed Monty-Beau pretty much all day and it doesn't appear to be letting up anytime soon. How I managed to make the children dinner is beyond me. I had to let MB cry. I'm feeding again and Teddy has a bad cough. He's just woke up screaming that he feels sick. He was so hot and I had to explain that he can't have his cover. I've a feeling he may be sick at some point tonight. Once again I had to leave MB screaming his head off. The older boys tried to calm him but he just wants my boob all the time. I am so angry at DH for leaving me to deal with this for the second night running.

Feeding is going so well but I really don't see it working long term. I just do not have time to sit feeding for hours and hours of the day.

Indians no there's no one. Just don't know which of my babies to attend to first this evening. Teddy keeps crying.

I think I will have to put him in with me. DH is about an hour and a half away. He's been drinking all afternoon I think.

beckslovestimmy · 23/07/2016 21:25

Thank you Beaut, Indians and Dolly for the tips. I do get DD involved and she likes to help and at times is very loving. Her routine has been changed as preschool has broken up and because DH has been off we've done lots of days out and I guess she's been a bit spoilt. We're still doing lots of the things she enjoys- colouring/drawing, play dough, going to the park, playing in the garden. I'm really trying not to lose my temper but I'm knackered and she's really testing my patience!

primarynoodle · 23/07/2016 21:29

Beaut I'm pissed off for you! How old are your oldest? Can they be in charge of teddy?

Here is Annie at 19 days old

Sorry to dip in and out, I think I've got a visitor free week on the horizon! It's so lovely to read about others with babies the same age even if I don't have much to say. Tessa is 19 days now and breastfeeding has been going so well. Im just wondering how others have managed to introduce a dummy? I've tried giving the TT ones and the Mam newborn ones but Tessa just screws up her face and pushes them out, she looks so betrayed! I've probably been going about it all wrong. I'm totally happy for her to be suckling for comfort most of the time but it would really help when I cant do this, in the car etc. Any advice gratefully received.

Cookiesandcoffee · 23/07/2016 22:51

Nooo just deleted a mammoth post as G wouldn't latch and had to save my nipple from attack from the nails!

Super cute baby snaps!! Keep them coming!

beaut sounds horrid and very stressful. LThink of the 'saving up' for favours when you are ready to go out- he owes you big time!! With regards to screaming baby/dealing with other children .. Do you have a sling? For when I'm trying to sort the others I stick G in the close Caboo and stick a dummy in, which usually stops the crying long enough to deal with the situation, or bedtime for example. Sounds tough I really hope Teddy isn't poorly on too. Fingers crossed you get some sleep. Final count down now though and DH will be home

becks my 3.5 year old has had some VERY naughty days in the past few weeks. I've found it harder than any of the baby stuff Other than including her with stuff I've found trying not to give masses of attention to the bad behaviour. Punishment yes eg time out as the ignoring means she stops. Have you tried reward system at all? Mine have been earning their trips out with good behaviour. I've also started bathing baby with my dd2 as she loved the novelty of it. Only when she's been good at bedtime mind you! Can you tell I'm all for bribery Blush

We also have that vest but it's getting very snug!!

primary I'm loving the text book baby comment!

dats you don't have piles do you?? Two weeks nearly since I went to the docs and mine aren't gone Sad

dolly I've used shields successfully. I maybe wouldn't want to rely on them long term and have managed to ditch them now. I read somewhere they can also not letdown all the ducts properly, leading to blocked ducts but I don't know if this is true. If they're working then go with it :)
Equally large areolas here. Literally biscuit nips.

limeandsoda93 · 23/07/2016 23:31

Thanks indians, I guess we'll have to keep trying. Here's a pic of my sleepy bubs.

beaut hope your evening got better, you poor love. Baaaaad decision on DH's part. Hope he's suitably contrite when he comes home. Remember to keep the noise down if he has a hangover, yeah?! Wink Glad your headaches have gone btw.

Cookies yes! Horrid piles. Has them throughout and knew they'd prob get worse after delivery. Immediately after they weren't so bad but now they're worse and sometimes hurt to sit on and sometimes bleeding a bit. And today I have developed what can only be described as nappy rash, ffs!!! I've just used some Metanium! On my own bum! The shame! Still at least my swollen perineum seems to be going down and looking less like a cocktail sausage wedged in my fanjita. That's not tmi, right?! BlushShockGrin

Look at all the lovely babies! How clever we are! I'm really enjoying the chat from you experienced multiple parenters and new second timers, it's brill. Cookies someone has lent me a close Caboo but I've not tried it yet. With DD I used an Ergo 360 until I was too pregnant with DS - big fan of carriers, so am looking forward to trying this with the boy while she goes in the Maclaren. Assuming I ever leave the house again, obvs!

Happily, baby boy (have given up naming him) has been asleep now for 3hrs after feeding sometimes more than once an hour throughout today - hopefully he'll wake up in a minute and I can feed him and we can both go back to sleep!

julfin keep meaning to say: we've borrowed a Cocoonababy too - he seems to really love it! Shame they can't fit for that long, though!

dats, day 8 xx

Bluebell20 · 24/07/2016 02:55

Hey guys, have finally managed to hop on here! Ruben has just finished a mega 90 minute boob session which has left me wide awake. Didn't help that I chose to finish the feed listening to a particularly unrelaxing short story podcast by Zadie Smith about rape and pillage...

Anyway, looking forward to catching up on this thread over the next few feeds!

Anyone got any good (non rape and pillagey) podcast recs? Currently working my way through the entire back catalogue of the Infinite Monkey Cage, but it would be nice to mix it up a bit!

Flossiesmummy · 24/07/2016 05:30

My 3.5 year old has also been acting out but she seems to have got through it. We didn't make allowances for her and stuck to the usual boundaries.

Cheery1 · 24/07/2016 09:30

Oh beaut your DH has some serious making up to do. I think you're incredible looking after 4 LOs and he needs to Bloomin support you!!

The feeding marathons sound like my last few days. We had a good sleep last night - 2 lots of 4 hours with mega feeds in between, so I feel much better for that. Maurice is 12 days old now so maybe he was on that growth spurt dats - explains the cluster feeding!!!

This Maurice hanging out this morning - little chubster!
