She slept!!!!!

Feed at 10.30 then went into her cot. Didn't wake until 1.30! Then went back in her cot until 5 Grin Then co slept with me and woke again at 6.15 for a 5 minute feed and then she was up at 7.15.

Give or take 30 mins either side of the feeds, that's back to her normal routine! I used to be desperate for her to drop her 2amish feed but I'll happily take it now! No idea whether it's due to her coming out of a fussy phase or a growth spurt, or whether it's because she was in her own room. We're not sure now whether to move her back and see if she stays like this or keep her in her own room...

Hi! Had a good night out last night, lovely meal and a cocktailGrin Enjoy going out but do love coming home to DS2 cuddles. DP managed to get him to sleep at 8.20 by swinging the car seat, don't know how he can do this, I can't even carry DS in it! Got home at 11 so DS had been in car seat for over 2 hours so felt guilty about that. He woke a few times in the night to get even.
Been quite a nice day here so had a sit out in the garden and then visited family. DS seems to have had minimal sleep today and is fast asleep next to me now. Fingers crossed for a good night.

Think I have felt mom guilt since I had DS1 loves!

A camper van sounds ace slow. A friend of ours buys and does up old ones, they always look amazing.

Love a picture book effin. Love to go into the children's section of any book store, can't resist! We kept loads from DS1 as I just couldn't pass them on. DS2 loves Postman Bear and Dear Zoo at the moment, his little legs start jiggling when he sees them!
Read loads with DS1, always had books and bedtime stories. Now he's 12 he has no interest at allSad. He might read a match magazine and that's about it. Shame because I love reading but he takes after DP who probably hasn't read a book in 15 years!

Can't go wrong with Dinos fatty. With DS1 we had plain walls and used wall stickers to decorate which were easy to change when we wanted a change.

Excellent sleeping crafty. Hope it continues... sending sleepy vibes your way.

Go downstairs or get some sleep in? Might go for the sleep, one late night and I'm so tired!

kbro79 · 12/03/2016 20:03

I love books too and hoping DS will be a reader. My brother never reads which I find sad but he just has no interest.

We have had a nice Saturday. Been to swimming class. Just starting a new term. Can't decide whether to keep up with it or not after this term. Love swimming and want DS to be able to swim. But it is v expensive and a massive tie at the weekend. On the other hand it seems to tire him out so.........

We went for a coffee and cake afterwards. DS slept in the sling the entire time.

Now DS is in bed (for now at least) and we are watching the rugby on delay.

randomsabreuse · 13/03/2016 00:08

Just gone to bed. Trying to sort transposing music for church tomorrow. Normally I transpose on the fly but brain a little too fried at the moment.

F's backside still pretty explosive, had formula again - hope we won't regret it... Typically she's asleep and I'm not. Doesn't seem ill, just irritated gut...

I also love books. We have 4 big bookcases in the living room and 2 in the conservatory although one of those is full of DH's reference books for work. There's also a load in the loft room. Need to go through them to reduce our fiction to fit the 4 cases in the living room leaving an entire bookcase/magazine rack for F's books and toys. She already has a good collection of that's not my ... books and loads of French children's classics.

Keep meaning to sort swimming lessons. Our council pool has a mother and toddler/baby session but I think I'd rather start something I can block book. Also need to join the musical steps class I tried but easier to wait a bit.

Good luck for the night everyone...

FattyNinjaOwl · 13/03/2016 22:05

Quiet today! First time I've been on MN all day. Been out to my mums, leaving all 3 DC with their dad! Unfortunately I fell over on my way home and have seriously hurt my hip.
Nathan now has 4 teeth, all on the bottom. He cut 2 at the same time today, no wonder he's been so fussy.

Tindel · 14/03/2016 03:02

Swimming seems to have no effect on J - we took him this morning and he barely slept all day and didn't fall asleep until almost 11. After a couple of nights sleeping through, we've got the 2am feed back. Deep joy

Equimum · 14/03/2016 07:22

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and that the little ones were all good on the sleep front. Sorry to hear that you have the 'treat' if the 2am feed back Tindel. DS is doing much better since he's been in our bed, but I'm probably still feed 3-4 overnight.

Fatty, I hope your hip gets better soon, and that you had enjoyed your 'time off'. I still doesn't have any teeth, but his gums are incredibly bumpy.

We're also huge fans of children's books, although I don't seem to read to DS2 as much as I did to DS1 at this age. I think I need to focus on a bit more on the mornings my big one goes to pre-school (I tend to get caught up in housework).

Both boys here are complete snot-pots (again!). I'm just debating whether it would inappropriate to take them to toddler group this morning.

kbro79 · 14/03/2016 17:05

Just spent the last 45 minutes sat on the floor with a boob hanging loose under the weight of a sleeping baby. These days I'll take a nap of DS any where, any how, any time.

Had quiet but nice Monday. We are off up north for 9 nights so trying to get sorted for that. However managed to squeeze in a trip to Costa with a mum friend and Her twins. Whilst twins would be my absolute worst night mare they are super cute!!! 2 girls, non identical. The mum is so chilled. Makes me feel bad for all my moaning about DS and his 2 hourly wakings.

In other news my little blonde locks seems to finally have some hair. Slowly but surely.

He seems a bit constipated at the mo. Food in to waste out does not seem quite right. Easing up on the amount offered today to increase milk in take to hopefully get things going again.

Happy Monday everyone!

Ola Augmums! We survived the wedding! DS was great for the ceremony and such a little charmer at the reception despite being tired. Wore him in the carrier for hours though so felt shattered when we got back to the cottage. Then yesterday when we were packing to go he had a total sleep deprived meltdown. Today he woke up grumpy and seemed hot - checked and his temp was up poor thing. Also v snotty. Called doc but they advised pain relief and seeing how he is. I can see the tip of an upper tooth poking through as well.

I love books and read whenever I can. DS has lots already and is developing favourites. He gets really excited when I take certain ones off the shelf for his bedtime story. I used to love reading as a child. We have 'on the night you were born' which always makes me well up. DS loves the 'that's not my' books. My bookclub bought him peter pan in a folio society edition when he was born. The book is beautiful but the other week they asked if he was reading it yet...at six months...ummmm...

Hope your hip feels better fatty. Hope you're all doing well :)

Coconut0il · 14/03/2016 20:16

OMG I'm sooo worn out. DS can't even crawl and he's into everything already! Had a busy weekend out and about so thought it would be nice to stay in and have a quiet day today. It's tired me out moreShock No crawling is happening but we have sideways rolling into walls and units, he's pretty good at sitting but now he can launch himself forwards if he sees something he wants. He can also move round in a circle banging his head along anything that gets in his way! Can't even count the number of times I've moved him from near misses today. Thank goodness it was sunny and we had a peaceful sit on the garden swing for about 40 mins which was lovely. Reminded me of back in September when he was a tiny little thing on my shoulderSmile

kbro We took DS1 swimming every now and then but he didn't have proper lessons till he was 3. He's a good swimmer now. Always wondered why swimming lessons are sooo expensive. My brother and sister are twins, don't know how my mom did it! Agree about the napping, I'll take any I can get. The only constant with DS is he's always asleep sometime between 7 and 8pm. Daytime naps are different everyday.

I also feel DS is putting more in than is coming out. Don't think it's constipation as it's still a thick paste rather than solid poo. Sorry about the tmi!

What is musical steps randoms? Dancing?

4 teeth fatty! Hope your hip is better. Awful falling over, painful and embarrassing.

Aww tindel seems worse to have had sleeping through then to lose it than to never have had it at all! DS is still stirring 3 or 4 times a night. Just keep reminding myself it's not forever.

We're also in the snotty nose club equimum. DS already hates having his nose wiped and makes it quite clear!

GrinGrinat your DS being able to read Peter Pan MaGrat! Hope he's better tomorrow.

Right going to lie here in the dark and eat a sneaky milky way. I've been waiting all day for it but DS has his eye on everything these days. ChocolateChocolate

FattyNinjaOwl · 14/03/2016 20:48

Checking in to the snotty nose club. DD and DS2 are full of it! I have done nothing but wipe noses all day.

randomsabreuse · 15/03/2016 06:33

Musical Steps is a music group - Kodaly Dalcroze based and the songs are voice based rather than on cd. Am a bit of a musical snob and the Kodaly and Dalcroze systems are well known as being good for early years music! Has a bit of movement, toys and singing. Hopefully next term!

This last week has been all hurry up and wait. More or less at the point of hallucinating phones ringing and swearing at calls that aren't the one we want! Everything was being so efficient until now. Looking at options including private - would involve even more of a trek!

Haematologist is on the case too as he does not want to have to delay chemo!

Fortunately no snots here as F gets so cross it takes 2 of us to wipe her nose and we can barely pin her down to get saline drops in. Waiting in for the phone to ring has some advantages! Hope those suffering get rid soon.

At the moment feels like more out than in! Down to 3 per day from 10 but staying in disposables until either sample back or clears up so changing every 2 hours for wee thanks to mistress fusspot. On the plus side no nappy rash as she will not tolerate anything in a nappy if she wants to go again (or full stop..)

CraftyPenguin · 15/03/2016 13:49

Hi all

Sleep is still terrible here. We've tried her in her own room for 4 nights but things weren't any better so she's back in with us. Figured this way we can use her room as a packed boxes room if we ever bloody find a house

She's also fighting her day time naps. It's taking a good 25 minutes of rocking and bum tapping to even get her to shut her eyes, and then another 10 minutes to get her to fall into a deep sleep. God, she's lucky she's cute!!

I'm also a huge book lover but I haven't had time to read since dd has been born. We do read to her every night after bath time and she really enjoys it. I'd love her to be a book worm like I was as a kid :)

Hope your hip is better fatty.

💐 random it sounds like such a stressful time for you right now. Thinking of you.

randomsabreuse · 15/03/2016 18:30

Rocket by haematologist worked well! In today for tomorrow. Slight issues with food for me while waiting - forgot last time dairy and soya weren't on the suspect list so nothing I can have in Subway :-( - but will live! Better than the interminable waiting!

Coconut0il · 16/03/2016 20:23

Evening! Think I have the bar to myself...anyone else for a Wine? Think I'll go for a mojitoSmile

How was today randoms? Thinking of you.

DS2 is fighting all naps too crafty.
He's on 2 a day now, the first is slightly easier as he will feed to sleep after a but of fussing and fighting but the second is a bit of a nightmare, took him 40 mins to drop off in the pushchair and I wanted him to have as long as possible so just kept walking! Was quite nice in the sun.

Had a few bad nights too, DS rolling over in bed and doing push ups with his eyes closed. Seemed like he was groaning every 40 minutes last night. He finally slept for the longest on his tummy but I don't really like it. He's on his side now but I daren't move him.

It is a good job these babies are cute, the highlight of my day has been DS2 proper belly laughing at DS1 popping his head round the corner and going pssst! This apparently is the funniest thing everGrin

How's your hip fatty? Any better?

Sleep well Augmums!

FattyNinjaOwl · 16/03/2016 22:49

I'm here! Hips better now. Went to a toddler group today. They didn't seem to like the fact that I had both DD and DS2 there. They were fine until they found out they were both mine. What's all that about?!

randomsabreuse · 16/03/2016 22:51

Today is over, all 3 in hotel. Tired but awake, F blowing raspberries and attacking her feet. Home tomorrow!

Tindel · 17/03/2016 03:37

coconut I was at the bar, but distracted by my sleep fighting monkey. Spent over 3 hours trying to persuade him to sleep. Utterly exhausted and desperate to find a way that doesn't take so long. V miserable at the moment - a mojito sounds lovely right now

Coconut0il · 17/03/2016 07:28

Shock at the toddler group weirdos fatty. Didn't take DS1 to any groups and have only taken DS2 a couple of times to one at my work. Don't really enjoy it.

Hope you got a good sleep randoms

Shocker of a night here too tindel. DS goes down at the start of the night ok but he was awake soooo often and then up at 520Shock He's been miserable ever since. For the first time I had to strap him in the car seat and walk away for 10 mins to calm down. Feel guilty now though.
Forget the mojito I need lots of coffee and Chocolate

Will get DS1 sorted and then hopefully DS2 will go back to sleep...

FattyNinjaOwl · 17/03/2016 09:23

I didn't take DS1 to any either. But DD gets bored easier and its hard to constantly have different activities set up when I've got DS2 trying to eat everything. I do try and do at least one structured activity a day though. Current favourite is finding the toys hidden in shaving foam.

Nathan slept! From 7-5 then again from 6-8!

Coconut0il · 17/03/2016 13:44

Grinfatty I find it hard enough with one! Can't imagine trying to entertain 2 little ones! Shaving foam is amazing though or any kind of gloop they can play withSmile So glad it's getting nicer and can get outside for some messy playSmile
Going to make an effort to take him a few places over the Easter hols. DS1 wants to go to Drayton Manor, if he takes a friend they can get on the rides and I can take DS2 round the zoo with DP.

He's currently on his second nap of the day after his early start. Really want to join him.

kbro79 · 17/03/2016 20:04

We are at my in laws. Lots of feel breathes for me. For once I don't mind that bedtime is taking for bloody ever.

DS was a little star for most of the car journey. Is a long old ride and he did v well. Lots of naps so not sure what that means for tonight. Sleep tends not to beget sleep as far as DS is concerned.

Tindel it's so hard when they are inconsolable isn't it. DS had a much better night after a v late bedtime. But at one point woke up screaming. Think he had some trapped wind as he went from hysterical to fine once a big fart came out. So hard to know what is wrong though.

Right off to continue bedtime dance.

FattyNinjaOwl · 17/03/2016 20:07

Well he's asleep again, Wigan's on TV, I'm happy Grin wonder if he's going to sleep all night again?
I'm not going to get my hopes up.

kbro79 · 17/03/2016 20:22

Fingers crossed for you fatty Go Nathan!!!

sianihedgehog · 18/03/2016 10:32

Gah. Every time I think we're getting somewhere with sleep it gets worse again. Really starting to get quite depressed. Feel like I'm not even getting to enjoy how good a baby he is in the daytime now I'm back at work. I'm just always trying to get his lunch packed or he dinner cooked, or being woken up by him. I wish he'd actually feed properly from a bottle in the daytime, so at least I'd feel like I could leave him in the evening without him actually starving himself.
