Our babies are teething, screaming and generally not sleeping, but we're still JS-ing - it's Just Mumming 10!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th Just Mumming thread...following the trials and tribulations of our babies, following the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

The previous Just Mumming thread is HERE

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Grin at La pooing in her teenage son's bed!

Well P slept from 11am until 2am so I got three hours sleep in a row, the most I have had since she was born (which is ace) but now having done a 2 hour feed I'm too awake to go back to sleep! FFS! Going to close my eyes and pretend.

Sympathies to those of you covered in bodily fluids.

Try to stay alive La.

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 04:31

Up again! Woooooo! It's a party in here tonight! B is replenishing puked feed.

How often does j feed ga?

Pud that happens to me too. Annoying isn't it?

OP posts:
LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 04:38

I want fancy TV

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 04:39

Still every 2-3 hours la I dont mind he must need it, he's still so small. He's only slept at night about 10 times since he was born, 11pm-5am is party central here. He's still chattering away now.

gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 04:48

la I've got amazon prime, you get prime tv with that. I think a few of the viroids have it. I've got now tv too. Worth every penny. I've only had broadband since December so its all fancy to me.

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 05:18

Back up! Good job this kids cute. Poor boy, something's not right. He's not a great sleeper but not normally this bad. He's meant to be going onto own room today Hmm

I couldn't have TV on while feeding. B is highly distractible

It's cold!

OP posts:
LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 05:24

We are still every 2-3 hours too. Was every 3-4 but then started teething /cold etc

I'm meeting a viroid for coffee this morning! Grin

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 05:32

Ooh which one? Is it D?
Is B unwell do you think?
J will never go in his own room, he has no need for sleeping areas or paraphernalia I can count on one hand the amount of times he's closed his eyes in his basket. He doesn't even have flat heed because he doesn't lie down much.

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 05:40

Before! We will take a viroid selfie for you all! She's lovely, she's very kind and I'm looking forward to seeing her. Only met her once for a few minutes.

Dunno - he's just been unsettled - lots of poos, farts, crying. Think teeth or just fussy development thing. It'll settle down I'm sure, I'm not worried as he seems fine and the poos aren't diarrhoea. He's very dribbly, tired, hungry, whingey. Can't seem to sleep long. I can feel pointy ends of teeth at the top so don't think they're far off.

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 05:42

I hope own room will mean less wake ups. I think we (ie dh snoring!) wake him up

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 06:12

Ooh have a lovely time with her today!
I have to begin the school run shizzle now.
Sausages and milkshake for breakfast today....and that's ok....i don't judge myself 😁

Hobbit19 · 07/01/2016 06:14

Oh no poor B. Hope he gets back to himself soon!

Yey for viroid meet ups!

DulcetMoans · 07/01/2016 06:15

Haha. That is the benefit of a non-sleeping baby ga - no flat head!

Enjoy the viroid coffee la - convince her to come back to us!

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 06:20

Ga where do you get your energy? Can you bottle and sell it? Although my resilience startles me! I can be up all night yet still function normally. It's only at night it feels like the end of the world.

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 06:30

Coffee. Coffee is the answer. Hmmm maybe that's why my boy doesn't sleep.
He's just drifting off now, he's been awake since 11 last night. Thank fuck for pre cooked sausages.

Jcandy · 07/01/2016 06:39

So far no stray bodily fluids over here tonight for me. Did have to double nappy change the last one though coz G decided a clean nappy was exactly what she needed to poo in. She cluster fed from 11 till 2 with accompanied screaming for reasons unknown. DP finally managed to get her to settle. Good job I have no plans tomorrow morning as I think I'll need to sleep through it all. Feel like I'm only actually up for 12 hours a day at the moment though I'm only sleeping for maybe 4 of the rest.

Jcandy · 07/01/2016 06:41

Isn't it annoying Ga that the one thing that helps a viroid stay awake is also a curse on trying to get a baby to sleep. You think there'd be some sort of coffee boob filter!

PixieChops · 07/01/2016 08:11

Lol @ boob filter!

Sometimes I feel like a right drama queen when I read of how bad some of you have it at night with your LOs. If I was ever taken to be tortured the sleep deprivation one would definitely be the one for me (don't tell anyone that though). I'd be coughing up information after the first night!
Hope you viroids get some well needed kip soon.

Don't know how R slept yet, probably won't find out till later on. Fingers crossed he wasn't too bad, I always feel guilty when I go round and my mum looks exhausted because he's kept her up all night. We slept like logs- ST is still asleep and so is P. I'm about to go and have a wee and maybe get some more kip so I'm prepared for what tonight may bring.Hmm

Enjoy your viroid Meetup La and tell her I said hello Smile

Such a shame that we're all up and down the country. We'd make a fab baby group.
I left R's because of some racist cow. Most of them must've liked her because they don't speak to me and go round licking her racist bum hole. Couple of the women actually deleted me on Facebook.Think they forget that it wasn't me demanding to keep our borders shut because all asylum seekers/ immigrants are terrorists. Didn't like them anyway, all stuck up their own arses and enjoyed talking about money and fancy holidays. Which I don't have either of.

Ga your resilience sure is admirable. I don't like coffee much though and would rather have tea. Confused that's probably were I'm going wrong isn't it?

Amazon Prime is amaze balls. I LOVE Vikings- Ragnar is so fit. Keep trying to convince ST to bulk up and grow his hair long so I can plait it. Then we can shave the sides and get his head tattooed. Once we've done all that he may look a little bit like him. ST isn't really up for it though miserable bastard
If you haven't seen Ragnar Lothbrok viroids get on google images and have a gander. You will not be disappointed.
Wish I was a Viking. I'd be a shield maiden and kick the crap out of people. That would get rid of my sleep deprived frustration.
I heard its 11 days without sleep and you die. I was up to 19 days before last night so breaking records over here.
Sorry forgot to introduce myself as well.

Pixie
30 (just)
2 kids- DD- 19 months DS-6 months
I also have a ST (silly twat) that is like a child sometimes.
He knows I call him ST on here. He's not even arsed, he just laughed. Obviously it's not that offensive. Need to think up more offensive name for him. Suggestions on a postcard.

Hobbit19 · 07/01/2016 08:20

Ah JC, the old 'cluster poo'. DH'S record so far is 4 nappies in one nappy change!

Pisghetti · 07/01/2016 08:27

BrewBrew for the sleep deprived. I think j accidentally made BabyPis cry it out Confused she woke up for boob and cuddles at 10pm but wouldn't go back down afterwards without holding my hand. I was almost ready for bed myself but had to finish some things downstairs, knock fire and lights off etc. So I left her to do that as quickly as I could and she fell asleep before I got back. Still lots of wake ups through the rest of the night though!

I'm going to have to implement some tough love re co sleeping. She starts in her travel cot and usually ends up in with me from about 2-3 ish. Won't go back in her own cot. I don't mind this except when my alarm goes off at 6 and I have to jump in the shower, I am paranoid she'll wake up and jump off the bed cos she's a bit of a dickhead like that Hmm but I also can't deal with being up for hours in the middle of the night when I have a 6am alarm and an 8hr work day. So operation 'Night Transfer' will take place this weekend. If it's not cracked by Monday I might have to consider sleeping in the travel cot with her.....

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 09:32

Stupid question - we are going to take B to Scotland to visit family. I presume we will need a travel cot? He's too big for carry cot or snuzpod to take with us. This sounds daft even writing it down. Of course we will need travel cot. What else will he sleep in?

OP posts:
deeplybaffled · 07/01/2016 10:26

One friend of mine used a suitcase as a baby bed, which I thought was inspired. And my.mum tells me that she put me in a drawer on occasion ( presumably whilst open????)

purplewhale · 07/01/2016 10:56

BrewThanksfor the sleep deprived. B is still coughing but waking himself up less so I've had sleep.
After I fed him at 2:30 I lay awake for 2 hours, couldn't switch my brain off.
I'm full,of cold now but feel ok. I just have a blocked nose.

La I got a travel cot from a local Facebook selling group. B may go into it when he's outgrown his crib

It is such a shame we're all so far apart. Can you imagine us all together

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 07/01/2016 13:49

Hi everyone. Can I join the facebook group? How do I do that?
My car passed its MOT so I am immensely relieved. DS also slept 'in' til 6:45am (after 3 and 4am feeds), which is the latest wake up we've had since before Christmas. I was elated when I heard him awake and saw the little hand near the 7!
I just tried decaf green tea, so none of you have to bother trying it now, cos it's fecking disgusting.

RPopz · 07/01/2016 13:53

Busy in here today chaps!

Sorry to all the sleep deprived. Brew Minipopz is still being a bedtime dodging cot refusing PITA. Starting to feel a bit stressy about it.

Wow essie - Well done your cervix!!

Pis - I think I mentioned the lletz at my booking in appointment. They didn't seem particularly interested but then when I went for my 12wk scan the mw wanted to know all about it! They went back to check my notes from the time it was done and apparently the size of the biopsy taken was borderline "too big" and risk of preterm labour was higher, so I got referred to the consultant. I had a couple of cervical lengthing scans but apparently my cervix was massive Grin so I got discharged from consultant pretty quickly.
