Our babies are teething, screaming and generally not sleeping, but we're still JS-ing - it's Just Mumming 10!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th Just Mumming thread...following the trials and tribulations of our babies, following the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

The previous Just Mumming thread is HERE

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

I lost you!!

Pud, that is indeed bollocks, I agree with La Smile

I don't think I had yearly smears after my LLETZ... I had one the year after and it was normal so I went back into the 3 yearly cycle. Need to get one booked actually! Pis did they say if there'd be any pregnancy repercussions of having a second Lletz? I asked when I had my first one but noone seemed willing to answer me....

Hobbit19 · 06/01/2016 17:30

Thanks for the link La, I think maybe the key term for me is 'active feeding'. There are some videos of different types of sucks/swallow on the ncbi website that I will have a look at later.

LaLaLaaaa · 06/01/2016 17:31

Try reading kellymom - the info is broken into handy bite size sections so easier to read with baby

B has done a poo every hour today. Not green or mucous just normal poo. Some are like wet fart, some more explosive. Is this a teething thing? He's been inconsolable all afternoon.

Hope it's not a bug La Confused
Pud sorry I have no useful information but didn't want you thinking I was ignoring you, it did sound like a bit of made up crap to me too though to be fair.

Glad to hear B is on the mend purple. I've given up with R. Just taking each day as it comes. One day he's getting better and then the next it's like we're back to square one. It's just a virus though a very fucking long and annoying virus which is slowly but surely taking my sanity with it!

J glad to hear you don't have any extra holes that shouldn't be there. That must be a load off your mind!

I've stopped going crazy for now. Mum is having R so I can get some sleep. Doesn't help that ST has managed to pull his back out and has been able to do naffall to help all day Angry now I'm about to bath P and put her to bed and then go to bed myself. Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow in a better mood and won't find myself wandering around in the dark and rain aimlessly-- at 6:30am losing the plot--

PixieChops · 06/01/2016 18:59

God knows why all of my last paragraphs have strike throughs I apologise in advance
On another note you've all reminded me that I need a smear test. Cut a long story short I've not had a successful one yet. I get myself all worked up, they try and do it, I cry and then usually end up just getting dressed and going home. Loads of fun, I cannot deal with people being around that area (apart from Jordan).

Pisghetti · 06/01/2016 19:35

Popz at the last appointment she did say there was a risk having a second LLETZ might mean I struggled to carry to term but like having the baby at 35/36 weeks not 20-something. Did you say you had your cervix checked at your scans? I told the midwife I'd had a previous LLETZ at booking in and she dismissed it so I didn't think to mention it to the sonographer Confused

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 06/01/2016 21:12

popz I've had 3 x lletz, a cone biopsy and then surgery to mend my cervix when it scarred shut. When I finally got preggers they were petrified I'd go into preterm labour and I had fortnightly foof scans up to 32 weeks. All was fine and I bloody well went overdue.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 06/01/2016 21:16

And I should add at one of the foof scans my cervix was borderline for an emergency stitch but after much deliberation they decided not to. Once I got to term they then started to stress that I wouldn't dilate and wanted me to have ecs but I declined. V proud that my battered cervix managed to get to fully dilated on its own!

DulcetMoans · 07/01/2016 02:18

That sounds like quite a week purple! Your poor fanjo!

Hope you get some rest pixie. Can you make it a semi regular thing until R is recovered? Like once a week to give you a break? It is bad timing with a bad back but can't be helped - I'm sure you want to punch his whiney sick face sometimes though, of is that just me lacking sympathy completely when DH was ill over Christmas. Not that I showed him that to his face of course...!

I was told something similar too pud, don't worry! It wasn't to do with there being no milk or anything but mainly about keeping the baby feeding and not just sleeping and sucking. Getting the hind milk is important, and a big concern of mine at the beginning, but so is that they are actually feeding so it depends on the baby and what they are doing which takes a bit of judgement on your part. After the first week or so (because they are really slow at the beginning) I think I left it about 30/40 mins before implementing a swap. Just keep offering!

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 02:28

I miss sleep. Every time B sleeps I try to sleep but dh snores like a train and wakes me up. I've also got a nose bleed that won't stop

Currently holding sleeping B trying to pick my moment to put him down and trying not to bleed on his head

I may also be fantasising about suffocating dh with a pillow to stop the snoring

OP posts:
Hobbit19 · 07/01/2016 03:21

Ha ha I had similar thoughts last night La because DH was breathing in such an annoying manner! Harsh much? Do you have a spare room you can exile your DH to for a couple of nights so you can get some sleep?

Dulcet, yes absolutely, I think that is what I am starting to realise. I have been making sure P is actively feeding (as oppose to just having a nipple in her mouth) but as long as she is actively feeding to leave her on that breast until she comes off; then offering the second breast as opposed to offering the first one again. It seems to be working a bit better
She cluster fed all evening but then slept from 11 - 2 which is her best night time stretch so far so perhaps she us a bit more satisfied? She has been feeding again since 2am but is getting full I think (fingers crossed!)

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 03:30

No spare room only this room

Back up again. Baby pooed. Matchsticks on eyes

Baby feed relentless at start. Gets better.

Then they stop sleeping for other reasons. Sometimes just for laughs

Is it possible to die of no sleep?

OP posts:
EssiesInvisibleLlama · 07/01/2016 03:39

La I'm up too. It does feel like you can die from no sleep doesn't it.
I just shuffled to the loo for a wee before settling down to feed little llama and I moved like a 90 year old. Whole body aches in protest to being awake at this time. Hope you are ok.

gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 03:41

Yes it is la! Saw a documentary about it but it only happens when the body becomes unable to sleep, a man died of it in the olden days. FACT!

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 07/01/2016 03:45

So in our case eventually our bodies would take over and we'd just go to sleep regardless of wailing baby? Poor man. Imagine being physically unable to sleep. Actually don't.

DulcetMoans · 07/01/2016 03:51

Up for another feed too. Baby developed a cough half way through, spat milk everywhere. Arm is sticky but can't be arsed to wash it off. It will still be sticky in the morning.

Tried to nap with J this morning but he only went 30mins and then I felt worse. Better off just staying up!

That sounds right pud. J was, and still is, a sod for comfort sucking. I had to move him on in the beginning as he would just feed and stay there not getting any more. I still have to stop him at night often as he will want to stay there to sleep.

gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 03:58

essie it was horrible they couldn't even induce a coma for him because it wouldn't be sleep or something. Very rare. Poor man.
dulcet getting 30 mins when i need more makes me feel like shit too, almost hungover.

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 03:59

Baby fed, pooed again during feed then puked whole feed all down me. In hair, all over pillow, in bum crack (went down my back). Like you dulcet I can't be arsed to wash it off. I will just sleep in puke.

Dh changing baby second time in 20 mins. When baby is 15 I'm going to poo on his bed and puke down his bum crack at 4am.

Good to know death awaits. At least it will be nice and sleepy.

Solidarity tired wave at essie! We may shuffle like old women but we are still smokin hot yes?

OP posts:
LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 04:00

Nose still bleeding. Perhaps I'll die from nose bleed before dying of no sleep

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 07/01/2016 04:02

You must vom down his crack! 😅
Is it high bp causing the nose bleeds? Sounds horrible.

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 04:03

Poor man who died. No sleep is not nice

Dh has farted and left the room. So now I sit in puke, blood and fart. This would make a good comedy sketch.

Waving at ga! Nice to see you!

LaLaLaaaa · 07/01/2016 04:05

No idea. Blew nose yesterday morning and it started. It bled all through pregnancy so think it's but weak
