Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th Just Mumming thread...following the trials and tribulations of our babies, following the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

The previous Just Mumming thread is HERE

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Hope you are getting some sleep JC, and wtf is going on with your foof??? Flowers

Jelly, part of me wants to say 'sit the fuck down and eat a biscuit', but part of me very much understands the need to get back to being you. It also depends on your birth as to when you feel ready. I thought I would be running by 6 weeks but I still have to take ibuprofen after going for a walk due to my comedy exploding fanjo. I would say to work from the inside out. Lots of pelvic floor exercises. Did you see the runners world link I put up for inner core exercises? Just walking with the pram is good exercise too. I managed to swim the other day whole DH had P in the baby pool, it was amazing, I felt strong! Food wise, you still need lots of calories for feeding but you could aim to eat (mostly) healthy food but don't be feeling guilty when you reach for the biscuits after an all nighter!

Zyla, just take one day at a time. Cake

Hobbit19 · 11/02/2016 05:25

Oh and Wine for Pretzel, are you okay??

Pisghetti · 11/02/2016 06:33

Morning viroids. BabyPis is fast asleep cosy in my bed with no idea she's being evicted to her own room at the weekend Sad

Jelly I started going to slimming world when B was about 4.5 months. I hadn't actually gained any additional weight in pregnancy but I was about 2 stone overweight before I got pregnant. They do a tweaked plan for breastfeeding mums which basically means you can eat all the cheese. It was amazing. You have to drop portions as they're weaning though so now I only get two portions a day Hmm

RPopz · 11/02/2016 07:30

Eek jc that doesn't sound fun! Do you not get an urgent referal, that's quite a bad tear surely??

Minipopz is going for his first full nursery session this morning 8-1. I'm dreading it Sad He's still asleep in bed, all unsuspecting....

Ah pis she might be ok. I expected WW3 when I finally got round to putting minipopz in his own room at 12mo. He didn't really give a shit! plus he still ends up in our bed half the night anyway Hmm I think I was more upset than him!

Nefertitts · 11/02/2016 07:32

Place marking so I don't drop off. Now to catch up...

Jcandy · 11/02/2016 08:20

The doctor couldn't feel a tear so we're not quite sure what's happening. It doesn't happen all the time thankfully, only if I don't rush to the toilet when I get the overwhelming urge to go. Not overly practical I must admit.

I'm sure minipopz and babypis will cope beautifully with their new adventures. there's always gin if not

DulcetMoans · 11/02/2016 10:04

Oh good luck for the weekend pis, hopefully it will be pain free. Although sad as well I'm sure!

He hasn't said about how many sessions popz, but he did say he would see me next week and we can talk about where to go from here. That will be three sessions and I think about all I will do for now. On the plus side, J did 4 hours as a stretch last night which is unheard of so maybe it is helping. Hope mini has a good day at nursery, he might be fully occupied and barely notice you're gone! Not sure that's a good thing or not - stay strong!

I'm living on sugar at nearly 7mnths in jelly. For me it's time to stop but at your stage please don't worry too much until things settle down. I am using lent as an excuse to kickstart myself to be better, at your stage I was still eating custard creams with every feed day and night! Have you got a dress for wedding already? Wasn't sure if there is pressure there to get back down weight-wise. I thought I would be running again too pud but can never quite find the chance to get out, plus te boobs are unmanageable! I wanted to do a 10k next month but have only managed two miles in one session so far.

Everything crossed for you zyla. Waiting is the worst but we are all cheering for you.

That is some impressive parenting there pretzel! I'm crap at doing anything while feeding, you're a boss!

pretzelpieces · 11/02/2016 10:24

zyla that sounds really tough. Keeping gx for you for good results Flowers

Hope baby pis and mini popz cope well with the changes Wine

cookie that sucks that you have to wait until June, but good that it is getting sorted.

jc that sounds serious! I'm surprised they aren't doing anything sooner. Flowers

Feeling down today. I was tempted to cancel a friend visiting but I think it's better I let her come. Isolating myself will only make it worse. Can't believe you are so active pud! I barely have enough energy to feed the baby constantly let alone do anything else.

Hobbit19 · 11/02/2016 11:14

I have a very low boredom threshold Pretzel! But don't forget that I am 6 weeks ahead of you and life is much easier here, especially in terms of feeding. Cluster feeding is fairly horrendous. It does get easier! For now though, tea and biscuits are your friend. So us Netflix. Speaking of which I had no idea that "Netflix and chill' had connotations! I genuinely thought it meant to watch Netflix and chill out. You can clearly tell that I am married!!

Yes Dulcet, I am also unsure of what to do with Le Boobs for running! I am having a small oversupply issue so they are quite tender and the idea of squishing them into my 32A pre preggo sports bra does not appeal! I think I may have to purchase a new one. I am contemplating leaving P with DH on Sunday so I can go to swim fit but I am not sure if I am brave enough though... On the plus side that is her cranky time so I can escape ha ha! Up until now I have been expressing so that DH can do a night feed at weekends. P seems to have please God don't let this jinx it dropped her 1am feed so a) I am getting more sleep anyway and b) my boobs already feel like they are going to explode without missing an extra feed. I don't want to stop expressing so I am going to start a freezer stash/use the bottles to escape and do sport. Winner!

I hope mini Popz and baby Pis take their new changes in their stride. If not - WineWineWine

jellypi3 · 11/02/2016 14:37

dulcet I've not got a dress yet, was going to wait till the last minute.

Thanks for the exercise / eating advice. I'll carry on as I am for a few weeks then :)

purplewhale · 11/02/2016 16:13

Happy Thursday viroids. B had banana for lunch and loved it. It coincided with his new habit of blowing raspberries so I got a banana shower!

Hobbit19 · 11/02/2016 16:32

Nice! Grin

Realised why I have terrible engorgement today: bottle feed yesterday evening, P didn't bother with her 1am feed and I didn't express this morning as we were travelling. Erm, yes, skipping 3 feeds in 20 hours is probably going to cause an issue - idiot!

SnapdragonAzZ09 · 11/02/2016 19:22

Purple, watch out, banana stains are impossible to get out! Or maybe I just use crap laundry detergent.

Hope everyone's had some sunshine today. Spring has definitely sprung in our enz.

Sorry to hear you're feeling down, Pretzel. Is it something in particular or just the blues? These are hard days, so exhausting and you haven't been well - be kind to yourself. I hope your friend cheered you up. Are you able to get out with your little one for a short walk and some fresh air?

RPopz · 11/02/2016 22:36

Chin up pretz - it gets easier. You're doing great. Hope you had a good natter with your friend Smile

Ouch pud! Mega norks!!

jc i found for quite some time after giving birth that when I needed to poo, I needed to poo like RIGHT NOW... It settled down after about 12 weeks so perhaps a pelvic floor issue. There surely must be a tear though? Hope the gynae can sort you out xx

Pleasantly surprised by how minipopz took to nursery today. He cried when I dropped him off obviously which was heart rending. Apparently he spent most of his time cuddling and chilling in a pushchair. But he did some playing towards the end and ate all his lunch and a pudding Grin and seemed fairly chilled when I went to collect him. He's got one more session next week before I start work the week after. I'm glad I've been able to settle him in gradually like this.

Hobbit19 · 12/02/2016 04:36

I JINXED IT!!! P woke for a fees at midnight. Serves me right for being a smug git. Oh well.

Ah well done mini Popz! That's ace.

SnapdragonAzZ09 · 12/02/2016 09:05

Well done the Popzs! Before you know it he'll be crying when you pick him up cos he doesn't want to go home!

Nefertitts · 12/02/2016 15:37

Just poking my nose in over here. All going ok although currently trapped under a grumpy cluster feeding infant. I expressed enough for a feed earlier so DH could do one of the evening ones but he decided it was too late grr . She does always need settling with a bit of boob but still grr. Good news is Tiny T smiled earlier! I think it was a genuine smile - eyes open, looking at me, not windy or just a contented smile. She's really perked up over the last few days and is taking much more interest in the world. She's also gaining weight well, now 8lb 11 at 4 weeks. I can't believe she's still smaller than her 10lb cousin was at birth though...

I am generally keeping up over here though struggling to find time to post properly. T still not keen to sleep anywhere but on me in the daytime. I am hoping to find the time to write my birth story this weekend now we're a bit more settled...

RPopz · 12/02/2016 15:53

Hiya niff!

I've been in soft play hell all morning.... Angry Bah soft play. Bah half term. Bah.

Minipopz seems to have the shits. He had them after the last time he went to nursery too... Hmm

I need wine!

purplewhale · 12/02/2016 21:11

Hey there Niff, does your DH think babies only operate sociable hours Smile

Popz hurray for nursery but boo for the runny bum. What did they feed him?

Swimming didn't go well tonight but he was hungry and tired, despite having slept 2 hours. Next time I'll wake him up and feed him. He has gone to bed at 8:15, and was asleep in a few mins by himself Smile
That's the 2nd night he's been asleep for 8:30, gx this is the future Smile

RPopz · 12/02/2016 22:06

False alarm, he's done two massive stinky poos today - one of them an up the back number Confused but I don't think it's the shits. Phew! They gave him a massive dinner and pudding though haha!

Hobbit19 · 13/02/2016 04:29

Good news on the non-shits Rpopz! We have upthebackers at least once a day. I am hoping that switching to cloth will help!

Fabulous sleeping news Purple! P didn't go down until 11.15pm but we did skip the 1am feed again so it was worth the late night.

Think we are in leap 2... Some serious grumps here today, compounded by a complete lack of nappage!

Hobbit19 · 13/02/2016 04:31

Hi Niff! The smiles are just lush aren't they? Looking forwardto a good birth story!

jellypi3 · 13/02/2016 07:23

Aww I can't wait for a proper smile! R does lots of reflex and windy smiles, it's so cute.

Glad all is going well niff :) and that micro niff is gaining well!

My child is officially a beast! She's 4oz over her birthweight at day 12! The midwife was surprised. She's my little chunk though Grin

Glad mini popz doesn't have the shit's. I think soft play is a special sort of hell reserved for parents.

When are you swapping to cloth pud? We had our first leaky nappy this morning. My fault because I didn't do up the nappy properly. I feel christened now lol. We've had two poonamis on the bed requiring 3am sheet changes and now a leaky nappy!

RPopz · 13/02/2016 08:47

Excellent boobage jelly!

Have you tried a bigger size nappy? They go through the sizes pretty quickly.... It's possibly just the unfortunate nature of newborn poo tbh. It's like greased lightening! Grin

Hobbit19 · 13/02/2016 10:05

Great work feeding your little chunk Jelly! We are making the transition to cloth now (started at about 6 weeks. This was more circumstance than planning but she is doing fewer nappies now so it has worked out quite well.) We are using a mixture of cloth and disposable at the moment, mostly because we don't have enough nappies for full time clothing - I need to do more shopping! I have found the Mio solo ones go quite high up at the back and are therefore quite good for poonamis.
