Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th Just Mumming thread...following the trials and tribulations of our babies, following the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 43rd grads thread is here

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 56th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

The previous Just Mumming thread is HERE

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Then I will ask for them to be removed.

P just headbutted me in the mouth now I have a fat lip!

jellypi3 · 03/02/2016 04:10

pud I'm so glad you said that, I was reading (with R boobing) thinking how would I put the bottle and her together...Blush

Thanks for the welcome. R is demanding feeds much more regularly now which is great :)

All you talking of a second, stop it! It's making my stitches sore! Grin although I'm glad one day I may feel ready to spread my legs again. Right now though...

I'm also glad we can still chat despite the FB drama. No idea why it escalated or what really happened but I think we are one fucking amazing support group and I'd be devastated if it fell apart!

Jcandy · 03/02/2016 05:44

I've just had two 2 and a half hour blocks of sleep! I feel like a new woman even at 5 in the morning Grin I've also found that G has a preference as to what position she'd like to be in (different every time) once you find it she settles immediately, she's gonna be a strong headed one!

Ouch pud you'd think it must hurt them too right? But they never seem bothered!

I'm not sure placebo works like that on someone else dulcet so it might not matter that you don't believe. I've heard good things about CO though so fingers crossed

teejayem · 03/02/2016 06:25

It might be a knot in the stitch pud - they are stubborn little bastards to shift and dissolve. If you can get a GP appt earlier I'd just go and ask to have your cactus pruned. I had an appt before my PP check because I pulled my stitches getting out of bed too fast and thought I was going to burst like an old sofa. Confused

Hobbit19 · 03/02/2016 06:47

Tee, I was considering snipping the ends off with the nail clippers but then I decided that would be a bad idea! MW has a clinic on Thurs so will give her a call then and see what she suggests. (I have been discharged from the MW but she is a legend and said to call anytime).

JC, I have discovered 'Boots sore mouth cream', which is like bonjela but not a spring based so you can use it while BFing, that stuff is the shiz. Wopped some on my fat lip and now it is all sorted. Yey for sleep!!

Jess Blushj

Dulcet, hope the CO works for you today

jellypi3 · 03/02/2016 06:54

Oof I hadn't thought about pruning down below...eek!

Question regarding compression socks, how long did you wear yours for? The hospital said 3 weeks to me but I'm sick of mine!

Hobbit19 · 03/02/2016 07:03

'a spring based' should read 'asprin' based!

kbb23 · 03/02/2016 07:22

jelly i think i wore mine for about 3 days they were just so uncomfotable i just made sure i was moving about about lots.

jellypi3 · 03/02/2016 07:53

Thanks Kb I might take mine off soon. I'm also having to do clexane injections for clotting so feels a bit overkill

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 03/02/2016 08:21

I took mine off after 48 hours I think cos I bled all over them and then I couldn't get the new ones on on my own and kept forgetting to ask anyone to help me such was the fog in my brain at that time!

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 03/02/2016 08:22

*I am referring to socks of course.

I ought to be more on form cos we had a decent night. I fed him about a thousand times but he went back to sleep each time and didn't wake properly til 6am!

RPopz · 03/02/2016 10:18

I did mean to clarify that actually pud thank you!! I'm always posting in a rush so I don't forget what everyone's said Blush jelly - do what pud says Grin

Good luck with the CO Dulcet - I have heard good things if that helps!?

THE MAN STILL WANTS TO BUY OUR HOUSE!!!!! Thank fuck.

RPopz · 03/02/2016 10:19

Do I want to know about cactuses!?

I had a dream I got a bfp last night....

Hobbit19 · 03/02/2016 11:54

Yey for the house RPopz, that's brilliant!!! And no, you don't want to know about the bum cacti, it is a special treat reserved for those with a 3rd degree tear. I read something online the other day that said 'most' women are fully recovered after a year. A YEAR?!? FM actual L!

PixieChops · 03/02/2016 12:10

So happy that the man still wants to buy your house Popz hurray!! Love a bit of good news Smile

Please can someone clarify what CO is, is it cranial osteopathy or crying out. Both worked wonders for my kids. River went to see a Cranial for his colic and it helped loads. Also because he was c section he'd managed to trap a nerve in his neck so once she'd released that he was a lot more pleasant and I almost didn't want to suffocate him as much.

Essie congrats on the sleep! I always find I'm less erratic and weird when I've had a decent one.

Pud can you get the midwife to maybe trim them for you? I'd be worried I'd slip and clip my foof which would be devastating.

So this morning I work St up at 8:15. He complained I hadn't made him a brew (to be fair he makes me one every morning without fail. But he says he hates mine so I didn't bother) then complained I had woken him up early enough. I'm sorry don't you have a fucking alarm clock? Or do I have to treat you like some man child and get you out of bed for work?!! So I have a shower, sort myself out, sort both kids out and got them both dressed. Then I fed River his breakfast whilst Poppy looked at some toast (we make it she rarely eats it). Then ST says he can't be arsed waiting for me to have a drink or breakfast because we're running late due to me not getting up. He soon backed off when I asked him if he fancied walking to work today. He's working 11 miles away. I have to take him because he doesn't have a license. He failed his test last Wednesday. I did feel sorry for him as he was gutted but felt more bloody sorry for me because I've been driving him around for the past 2.5 years and it's getting harder with 2 kids in the car.
I dropped him off at work and have now managed to do a full supermarket shop with both my kids on my own. To say I'm chuffed is an understatement. We had no paddies. No screaming, no crying, no scratching and no biting. And they both sat next to each other nicely in the trolley.
People even told me how well behaved they are and told me my kids are lovely. Well they don't see them at home but it was nice to hear that I was doing a good job this morning for a change! Ha!
Now I've put the shopping away, I need to make Rivers meals for the rest of the week which I can't be arsed doing but needs must. We can't give him jars- they sneak milk in without labelling it correctly because they're twats and he ends up getting eczema and being a grumpy shit. So for now I'm sat on my arse whilst Poppy charges round the living room to Baa Baa Black sheep.
I have the mental landlady coming in a bit to "prune the trees" she's the one who's obsessed with the garden and made my life a misery last summer with her constant requests of needing to cut the grass.
I still dislike my mum in law and I intend on making myself unavailable and "terribly busy" when she wants to come round unless ST is here and he can deal with her.
It's good to be back! Now I only have the one Facebook profile it'll be much easier keeping up with this and the FB group.

jellypi3 · 03/02/2016 12:50

Ahh pixie I'd have gone mad if DP had that attitude with me. Literally gone ape shit on him. You have the patience of a saint

ZylaB · 03/02/2016 17:15

I'm here and reading, just haven't been replying..sorry!
Positive ovulation stick I think, so shagging..and no stitches out of arm because it's still pulling too tight and my arm looks like it's been mangled yuk.

DulcetMoans · 03/02/2016 20:25

Great news popz! What was all the faffing about needing to think then?!

I hear you on the driving pixie - I drove DH around for 6 years before he passed his test! He was always making me late and fucking me off. I do get to bring it up now if we have the 'who is driving?' talk. You are! CO is the cranial dude. I went today. Still not really sure what happened but he fiddled with his back, head and shoulders. Apparently he has tensions there but nothing big, just little tensions all over. Let's see if it helps!

You're right about the placebo thing jc - hadn't thought of it like that. Let's hope J wants it to work too then! Great news on the map, hope you get many more!

Is that 'most' recover after a year but some are fine after a week pud? Wishful thinking?

I kept my socks on for weeks jelly, but I don't know why! St least two weeks I think. I had two pairs on rotation.

Baby is down. Let the night begin. I hate night time!

Jcandy · 03/02/2016 21:09

Went to the GP today with G after talking to the health visitor. He thinks she does probably have a cows milk protein allergy but the only way to tell is to cut it out and see if she improves, so thats me off a lot of tasty stuff for the foreseeable! He suggested treating her reflux with gaviscon to see if that's the issue so I've got to try and get that down her now and hope she doesn't get constipated. She took the first dose well but not the second!

Fingers crossed it's helped dulcet!

Are they going to do anything about it pulling tight zyla?

deeplybaffled · 03/02/2016 21:45

Oh, I sympathise, JC - it's such a mixed blessing, as I felt so relieved to think that there was a specific thing that was treatable, but gutted for myself and my chocolate habit....
As we mix feed, she has neocate formula as well, Which has been prescribed by the dietician.

She's also got reflux and we have been prescribed ranitidine for that too, so it's all fun....but she is an awful lot happier than she was before we made the changes, thank heaven, so I really hope that it works for you too.
wil is the go to expert at this, and I think that she was the one who told me that oreos are dairy free ( but unfortunately not calorie free, dammit. )

DulcetMoans · 03/02/2016 21:53

Night one. Up after 90 mins. That's worse than 2hrs! Stupid CO!

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 03/02/2016 22:08

dulcet when we did co for evening colic first night was dreadful but after that it did improve. The Co said it might get temporarily worse before it got better and she was right. It didn't cure it but it definitely did help.

cookielove · 03/02/2016 22:10

Why are people wearing compression socks?

My nephew had the cranial thing when he was little, did wonders for him!

Am I crazy? Me and E are travelling to Canada alone??

LaLaLaaaa · 04/02/2016 03:34

Right I'm giving up on catching up and I'll just pick up from here!

JC I'm :( that she might have CMP allergy but :) that they are helpin you. B has only just been diagnosed with silent reflux and the ranitidine has worked wonders.

Dulcet we've done osteopath loads and it's always helped. First when he was born and B had loads of trapped wind and screamed lots. She said his diaphragm was rigid and he had a trapped nerve due to CS and forceps. He was definitely better afterwards and the wind came flying out over the next day. Then I went when he was refusing one side. She said he was tight down neck and back. He started nursing again afterwards. I really hope yours works!

Cookie nooooo you'll be fine! Smile what's it for? I'd love to go to Canada!

Jelly I ditched mine when I left the hospital. Just make sure you keep moving - it's meant to stop the swelling. My feet weren't a normal size for 2 weeks!

Essie hooray for a decent night!

Having an ok night so far, hence I can't sleep - I'm so conditioned to having none! He went down at 7, he's woken about 5 times but only just fed at 2:30 which is amazing. I'm hoping he'll not do the waking wide awake at 4am thing. We leave for Scotland in the morning. Oh my god babies have a lot of stuff! Suitcase is epic proportions and we are only going for 5 days.
