What's patio popz?!

Hope you got some naps in for another long night jc. You get surprisingly used to it though!

DH still ill, put the bum end now. Baby has a cough and a half which just led to a projectile vom all over me. He was so sad after, bless him! Hoping I can steer clear still.

Jcandy · 23/12/2015 02:38

Couple of naps but probably not enough! Feeling Ok so far, she's feeding every hour or so. Got her in her moses basket for the first time today but haven't managed it for more than 5 minutes tonight. I struggled to close my eyes when she was in there though. Bit anxious that something would go wrong. There's no way I could feed and sleep!! I'll look into biological nursing thanks Smile Her latch seems better today, breastfeeding support lady came over earlier and said my milk is already in which was good for just 2 days. Can't believe this time 3 nights ago I was pushing her out!

LaLaLaaaa · 23/12/2015 05:16

Sounds like you're doing great JC! Make sure you rest when you get a chance, it's full on at the start.

I think she meant for me to kill him and bury him under patio :). It was tempting

Did you not get your night out dulcet?

B also ill. He had nose bleed today due to all the sniffing. Mucus nappies and diarrhoea every hour

RPopz · 23/12/2015 09:33

It's so surreal isn't it jc .... I kept looking at Minip and thinking "you were in my belly a day/ week/ fortnight.... ago!!!" Definitely try and get some daytime naps. Everything feels like an uphill struggle at this stage but you're doing great. Just do what you have to do to get by!

As in bury him under one Dulcet! Grin

Get well soon babies and boys!

Fleurchamp · 23/12/2015 10:39

I am in Costa and some wankbadger idiot has just woken S but moving his pram so he could plug his laptop in.

No judge in the land would convict me.....

RPopz · 23/12/2015 16:11

Nope fleur not a single one! Angry

DulcetMoans · 23/12/2015 19:51

In this circumstance I think it is the wankbadgers job to get S back to sleep fleur. No one leaves until it's done.

I did get to go out la. Posh restaurant - massive plates, tiny meals. DH was dodgy but well enough to go. He's still barely eaten since though. He's getting better though. J woke up two hours after we left, had 8oz, then decided to be awake. Came home at 1130 to him sat watching telly with grandad on the sofa.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 23/12/2015 21:38

Wankbadger. Grin

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 23/12/2015 21:42

We are at inlaws now for few days. MiL is appalled that ds is not in his own room and that he will be in with me. He's 16 weeks old and bfing 4 times a night and has a streaming cold ffs. Poor lad. I have decided from this moment on I am going to be serene and calm and she will not annoy me.

Sorry to hear about other poorly babies and boys. Hope everyone is better in time for Christmas.

RPopz · 23/12/2015 22:51

WHY IS MY CHILD STILL AWAKE!? AngryAngryAngry

Pisghetti · 23/12/2015 22:56

I think moving straight to burying under the patio without killing him first would be more fitting La Angry

Smile and nod Essie then do what you want! I'm so lucky neither my in laws nor my own parents try sticking their oar in. Well there was that time my dad asked me not to vaccinate B but we'll gloss over that.... She still sleeps in my room at 9 months old and I couldn't give a shiny fuck what anyone else thinks about that as I'm fine with it Smile

Balls just realised she's exactly 9 months old today and we haven't taken any photos..... Ah well.

Glad you had a nice meal Dulcet Smile

We've got family staying and DP has had B all day. I feel like I've been missing a limb but she doesn't seem to have missed me much at all. She was happy to see my boobs though.

deeplybaffled · 24/12/2015 00:04

Imogen is possibly just condescending to nod off on my shoulder. Maybe.
I need to express before I go to bed or I'll seriously regret it, but I don't want to! I just want to go to bed 😢
On the bright side, the fact that she spent the afternoon at her grandparents' house means that the Christmas presents have been wrapped! And oddly, neither of the cats really "helped " me this year. Perplexing.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 24/12/2015 05:24

Thanks pis. Thinking about shiny fucks and wankbadgers will help with the smiling and nodding.

DS just did his usual 4am wake up and quickly realised we weren't at home. Cue eyes on stalks and lots of excited squealing. After an hour I've managed to boob him back to sleep in complete darkness and now I'm too awake to go back to sleep. Angry

Hope everyone is having a decent night.

Toast85 · 24/12/2015 07:44

Merry Christmas Eve viroids. Just checking in. Hi to the new grads grads jc, Eddie, kbb Smile
All fairly uneventful here- we are at my parents for Christmas. Now that Melba is more alert and aware of her surroundings she loves it here as its busy and bright with more going on, more people than at home etc. - until about 6pm when she gets over tired and overstimulated and I end up spending the evening rocking her in a dark room and shushing her whilst she's shrieking in a sort of half excited/half crazy way.

She's been quite good with night times recently since I've been putting her down at 9 and she goes down without a fuss and self soothes to sleep, don't shoot me with 2 wake ups around 2-3am and 5-6am, then again at around 8am. I just need to get my arse into gear and go to bed at 9 as well instead of getting tempted by all the jobs I could do with baby asleep.

Dulcet meal out sounds good, I'm wondering where you went! Hope Mr D is fighting fit again now for Christmas.

Pixie hope R is doing ok?

Pis I keep forgetting to take pictures. I have a thousand of Melba with varying degrees of smile but barely any of her with anyone or anywhere other than at home. Mission for Christmas to actually get some decent ones of her with me and with me and DH- we have one selfie style pic of the three of us at about 3 weeks old and a couple of pics of the three of us in SCBU where both DH and I look bloody awful, I'm all pale and sweaty and in awful pjs post c section and we both look like the walking dead through lack of sleep.

Right, must try to get more sleep before everyone wakes up and the house gets noisy. Stayed up far too late with family last night and think I'm going to pay for it.

RPopz · 24/12/2015 08:47

Minipopz is still in my room at 11 months! Shock He usually does half the night in his own room and half in with us. Through my own laziness. I was getting the "when are you going to stop breastfeeding" noises from stepMIL yesterday. Made me feel a bit self conscious.

Minipopz FINALLY deigned to go to sleep at midnight last night. Woke at 3 for a massive shit Angry and then up for the day at 7.30!! No idea what the frig is wrong with him. Think I'm coming down with something so will be mostly mainlining coffee today Brew

Need to go find some frigging pigs in blankets from somewhere today!!

LaLaLaaaa · 24/12/2015 09:31

Merry Christmas biatches!

Im frigging determined to get Christmassy today! B is not well still - has had cold 2 weeks now - so taking him to Dr to check it's just a cold and nothing more sinister (know nothing they can do but better than trip to hospital on Christmas Day if it turns out to be something other than a cold )

I'm going to have a couple of drinks tonight once he's in bed

Currently hiding under covers with the cat!

LaLaLaaaa · 24/12/2015 11:43

Bugger. He's got a fever with a cold and his finger is infected so he's got antibiotics. Booooo poor baby

DulcetMoans · 24/12/2015 13:05

Is he jolly enough in himself at least la? Bad timing but at least you can get the finger fixed.

Feeling any better popz? Ignore the stepMIL, you crack on for as long as you want. Ask her how long until she loses weight or something equally offensive.

We went somewhere in the woods toast, just looked like a massive house from the outside. Apparently it's popular! Glad to hear melba is sleeping better - long may it continue!!

I had all the best intention to take the monthly photo pis and always forget! Grab one tomorrow, they'll never know!

Feeding when they become nosey is a pain in the arse! J will rip my nipple off one day, I swear!

DulcetMoans · 24/12/2015 13:07

Stay calm essie, a calm Christmas! 16 weeks is still so little to expect them to be in another room. If that's not what you and your baby need then balls to her opinion! Just eat a chocolate and keep smiling!

Toast85 · 24/12/2015 14:01

Ha ha at losing weight, that'd shut her up!
I think I know where you mean dulcet, we went on my birthday last year. Yum!

RPopz · 24/12/2015 20:37

Heading for another midnight bedtime here apparently.... Merry flipping Christmas! Xmas Hmm

purplewhale · 24/12/2015 22:48

We're still up here. We told him Santa wouldn't come if he didn't go to bed but he's seen all the presents under the tree and didn't believe us!

Hope the poorly babies are better for tomorrow, and the non-sleeping ones go to sleep.

I got a bit emotional earlier must be the wine thinking about how different things are this year. Last year was the worst ever, I'd lost our baby and wasn't pregnant again, been diagnosed with diabetes, my nephew had just been born and I was too distraught to look at him.
Turned out I was 1 week pregnant on Christmas Day Smile
Now here we are with a 15 week old baby and our first family Christmas Smile

Merry Christmas viroids, may all your dreams come true xx

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 24/12/2015 22:54

Ds only just gone to sleep. Told him I've cancelled father Christmas but he doesn't give a shit. MiL has lightened up a bit today. She had a go at rocking him to sleep earlier and realised how fooking impossible difficult he is to get to sleep so is a bit more sympathetic with regard to doing whatever the hell works so we all get some kip. She has also made the most immense Christmas carrot cake so is partially forgiven based on that. I have taken a piece to bed with me. I know this means father Christmas won't visit me either.

Just heard one of my best friends had to have her 4 legged fur baby put to sleep today so feeling a bit sad for her.

la sorry about the antibiotics but glad you took him and hope it clears up soon. Was it chaos at Dr's? Hope antibiotics not too impossible to administer?!

DulcetMoans · 24/12/2015 23:19

Wake up number two of the night and he's looking reluctant to go back to sleep. Who knows why but since I'm up half the night I will probably see Santa and be sure to tell him that this is not a good little elf!

Any chance of a nice Christmas Eve further ruined by DH continued illness. Mix in a fight with my dad and it truly is a magical time people!

That's a sad Christmas for your friend essie. Hope she's ok.

LaLaLaaaa · 25/12/2015 05:22

Yo viroids! Merry Christmas!

Wake up 2/3 (can't remember) here and having to hold him upright coz he can't breathe. He took 2 hours to get back to sleep at the last one.

I saw Santa and he told me he's left you all vibrators under the tree disguised as toblerones and that you're all welcome.

I hope everyone has a bit of a lovely Christmas as least! Happy birthday to minimin for yesterday/day before I think?

Dulcet I think gin or baileys may be the answer. My Dh forget to buy me any nice non alcoholic stuff so I'm hoping there's a bottle of baileys under the tree for me.

Sad for your friend Essie. Our cat was run over on Boxing Day once. Totally ruined our Christmas - I was 16.

B seems to be getting a bit better - night before was scary as he sounded like he was drowning. He was so congested. He absolutely hates the antibiotics and has to have them 4 times w day. So glad my DM is here because I've been a bit emotional and fed up as it just feels like one bloody illness or scare after another with B and I had a bit of a cry about it.

He was meant to be going into own room after Christmas but I'll see how we go because he's back to waking up loads due to cold.

Dulcet I really hope you get a nice day today, you deserve a nice Christmas. Tell your dad to behave!
