Essie so glad little llama is better!

We also shagged nye - yay! Don't feel like such a failure anymore

LaLaLaaaa · 02/01/2016 06:58

Purple your pissed post cracked me up! Glad you had fun

For dulcet - we ate onion bhajis, poppadoms with the trimmings and curry, followed by cornettos, toblerone and Galaxy selection box. fatty

deeplybaffled · 02/01/2016 07:51

Zyla, am so tempted now by cruise ☺which ship? We've done the Azura, the Ventura and the Oriana and loved all three.
La, glad Ben is a bit better now but the mould situation sounds awful. I know you said that one of your resolutions was to move house - can you accelerate that?
We still do hula legs, complete with song, although we only swivel legs clockwise as baby massage seemed to suggest that digestion was clockwise?
When were you able to stop doing it? Imi is still pretty windy although less so since the dairy free diagnosis by the dietician . she's 4 months today - eek. How did that happen? !?
Amused by nose punching - fortunately for us, as Imi has been on ranitidine since she was about 4 weeks old, she seems to think that syringes are entirely normal and fine, thank heaven!

LaLaLaaaa · 02/01/2016 08:02

I do it clockwise but for some reason
I am way stick a token 2 anti-clockwise on the end. It's like I think he'll end up with uneven legs otherwise! Yeah digestion is clockwise - I see hula legs more as relaxing them though and jiggling it about to get wind out. Not sure if that's got any scientific backing!! Grin

I think I stopped at around 17 weeks. I've not done it for ages! Still hold him upright after meals though

LaLaLaaaa · 02/01/2016 08:02

Am way = always

Jcandy · 02/01/2016 08:38

Thanks La that's really helpful Smile the infacol seems to be able to get wind up for her after most feeds now which is definitely helping! Think she might be through this growth spurt as well as her feeds have spread our a bit again. She went 3 and a half hours this morning so I got 2 and a half hours sleep in a row!

ZylaB · 02/01/2016 09:27

deeply this one was on Aurora, kids facilities were ace, but we were on Britannia in sept, much larger and we preferred it but didn't use kids club so can't say how it compared :)

RPopz · 02/01/2016 10:07

That was an epic catch up La! Grin

Minipopz is one year old! Sad

Also today is the last day of my maternity leave! I'm officially on annual leave from Monday.... Make the most of it girls, it goes so fast!! Xxx

Hobbit19 · 02/01/2016 12:11

Happy Birthday minipopz!

Purple your nye post made me giggle too!

La Star for the nye nookie! Thanks for the winding info too. Baby pud was really struggling when we laid her in our cot last night, lifting her legs up and crying. Will definitely wind for longer and do hula legs - you should trade mark your song!

Good news :mw today said my stitches are almost healed and we can go for walks.

Bad news : bleeding nipple!!!!

Hobbit19 · 02/01/2016 13:02

P.s. did anyone else completely lose their appetite after delivery? I ate for England when I was pregnant and now I am having to force myself to eat. I'm worried about not getting enough calories for BFing.

RPopz · 02/01/2016 17:41

I was the same Pud, but after a couple of weeks I was eating like a horse again Smile

Hobbit19 · 02/01/2016 19:21

Urgh. Baby pud has just done a black poo on day 6. Called the MW and she said it could either be jaundice (bad) or a sign that she is getting rid of jaundice from her system (good). She was tested for jaundice when we went to hospital on Weds but they said it was below treatment levels and not an issue. No one had mentioned jaundice at all until the community mw said today 'she's got jaundice' but that it was nothing to worry about and just put the cot near the window. Baby pud totally happy in herself so they are just going to send a community midwife to see us early tomorrow to check her but if she deteriorates overnight to take her to A and E. (Suddenly wished we lived next door to the hospital not 40 minutes away!) Feel like my poor baby can't catch a break at the moment. :-(

cookielove · 02/01/2016 20:31

pud after I had E I could not eat at all, I got really sharp stomach pains each time I ate something. I think it really affected my supply!

pud fx your lo is ok. And is fine for the night. I know what a worry it will be for you!

LaLaLaaaa · 02/01/2016 20:40

Pud hopefully it's nothing to worry about x B had jaundice and it went after a few days of light box and feeding. Hope it's not in your case though xx

Hobbit19 · 02/01/2016 21:53

I know. I bet she sleeps well tonight and that will just make me paranoid that she is ill! Stressful!

purplewhale · 02/01/2016 22:12

More jaundice here too, it cleared up on its own, I put his Moses basket by the patio doors for daytime naps

DulcetMoans · 02/01/2016 23:08

I didn't eat well for a couple of weeks pud, DH was force feeding me in the end. It came back though and I haven't stopped eating for about a week now. Could do with a break if my stupid willpower would let me! Hope it's getting rid of jaundice and no revisit to hospital needed.

How was the birthday boy today popz? Suitably tired out I hope!

Well done on he NYE shagging la. Making us look bad! I didn't find my first time back at the rodeo to be very comfortable actually, anyone else have that? Hopefully just take some getting used to. Do you think the spoons changed anything down there popz? Not sure if it's different from underuse or misshapen!

Scottish viroids - what's the difference between NYE and Hogmanay? I know it's the same date but is it celebrates differently? Hogmanay always sounds more fun.

Got mistaken for my MIL's sister today. Angry bad day. Shows how good you look after 5.5mnth without a full nights sleep!

LaLaLaaaa · 02/01/2016 23:33

Exceedingly uncomfortable dulcet!!! We used lots of lube and I grimaced an awful lot. Sexy.

Hogmanay is same thing as new year. You'd ask 'what are you doing for Hogmanay?'. I miss Scottish Hogmanay. Been to could if house parties down here for Hogmanay and everyone went home at 1am.

Hobbit19 · 02/01/2016 23:58

Oh God Dulcet, that is bad!! Have some Cake to recover!

Baby pud seems happy and alert tonight so I am trying not to stress about the jaundice.

It's interesting that a few of us have lost our appetites after giving birth. Not very biologically clever!

Hobbit19 · 03/01/2016 02:06

Baby Pud has been feeding for FOUR HOURS. Will happily fall asleep on boob/in my arms/ on the bed but will scream if put in the chicco next to me. WTF?

Jcandy · 03/01/2016 02:59

I'm currently cuddling a baby that doesn't want to be put down either pud!

My appetite is massive! Still having to have small portions but seems like I need to eat every hour. Have to have snacks by my bed to get through night feeds Confused

PixieChops · 03/01/2016 06:50

I'm not Scottish Dulcet but I love Hogmanay too so I read about it. It is the same as NYE but it's an older tradition which starts on the 30th and finishes on the 2nd January (Bank holiday in Scotland). Historians think it stems back from Norse and Gaelic times- lots of drinking, merriment and present giving (they didn't have Christmas they had Yule- Pagans). There's also a tradition called a "first-foot" which is the first person to step over your threshold on New Year's Day. Preferably this was a tall, dark man as they were seen to be prosperous and good luck. These people would also bring gifts but these were of the food variety- bread and salt. They would usually bring a piece of coal and a coin. This would then set the rest of the year for the people living in that house and ensure good luck.
People used to look at me like I had three heads when I was tired (must've looked like shit) but then when I rushed to hospital with R on the 23rd of Dec I was called a "young mum" by one of the nursing team. I said I wasn't that young as I was nearly 30 (I am 30 now- thought I'd grow warts or something noticeable would happen but nope) and she nearly fell off her chair. She said I looked about 21. I know some people love to hear how young they look but it really pisses me off. No I don't want to look haggered but I'd like to feel that people respect me and see me as a young woman not practically a child (yes I've been ID'd for paracetamol and the lottery in the past year) with kids in tow (which judging by the looks I get from older women round here that's exactly what they're thinking). I get seriously offended when people say "you look about 12" MIL posted this on my Facebook yesterday. Felt like saying "well your son is fucking what looks like a 12 year old then" then she might shut up!

Popz hope your son had a lovely birthday and got lots of presents!

Pud try not to stress too much about Jaundice. Do what some of the other viroids suggested and get near Windows etc. R had it too. I had no idea in my postnatal blur, just thought he had an "exotic tan" flung back from my more exotic heritage (French). Was gutted when they told me he actually had Jaundice and wasn't just a lovely olive colour. To be fair though looking back at pictures he's bright fucking yellow and not just tanned at all. In fact he resembles this guy Smile

Congrats on the shagging La, we haven't yet- too exhausted from having no sleep due to R being poorly. Honestly I've never known a cough to last so long. We're so tired. R can't sleep because he coughs every 30'seconds and then cries because he's so tired. I'm expecting an epic sleep as soon as he's feeling slightly better due to the fact he's now been ill with one thing and another for 18 days. It's shit, I want someone to kill me or at least have R until he's better because I think I'm losing the plot.
Please don't run away either, B needs you, it's awful not having any kip- it is a form of torture used across the world and I can understand why. Don't know why they just don't give someone a baby as a form
Of torture to be honest.

Clusterfeeding pud and jc! Fun times! Try and relax as much as you can and just accept its all you'll be doing for a while... All that feeding will be helping to clear the jaundice though pud

I found it really uncomfy at first too Dulcet - but it got better with more "use" .... Lube is definitely a must, bfing hormones are not good for shagging! I did a lot of grimacing and daisy breathing the first few times too Shock I wonder it it's mainly psychological? It does get better though.

Birthday boy had soft play and McDonald's yesterday (my mother of the year award is in the post Grin) and we're having a little gathering today. I made a cake! CakeShock

Hobbit19 · 03/01/2016 09:28

Post a pic of your cake of FB Popz!

Pixie and La bloody hell you are both having trying times. Really hope R picks up for you soon Pixie. La the mould situation sounds horrendous, and it's so sad that you had to repaint your nursery. :-( There is a cleanings product called GG mould spray which is awesome. Tumble dryer will help loads too. When we bought our house (it's an older house) the surveyor told us never to dry clothes inside as it causes damp. This had never crossed my mind!

Employed the use of the 'sleepyhead' cushion thing last night - GENIUS!! She went down at 2 into it the first time and again after a feed at 5! JC we have found that swaddling helps too.

Jcandy · 03/01/2016 11:06

Hope you managed to sleep better after she went down pud dp had to take babycandy off me at 7 this morning so I could get some sleep as I was so tired. Feeling much better after a couple of hours kip though. Was considering getting the sleepyhead but it's just so expensive! She does go down in her moses basket/carrycot with just a blanket in the day and swaddled at night. She just wakes quite often for feeds but I'm not sure the sleepyhead would (or even should) change that!

It's so hard when they are ill pixie I'm not looking forward to the first time babycandy gets poorly. Even though I work with ill children on the ward all the time at work I think itll be different when it's my own and I can't juSt leave at the end of my shift. I already cry every time that she does when I can't fix it with boob!
