Hello!

Sounds like loads of us have poorly babies! Green poos and acid poos sound pretty horrible. I hope they get better soon

My baby still has cough and he's been dosed up with cough medicine and calpol. He screamed for an hour before bed tonight, think he is feeling pretty rotten. It's because he can't sleep because the cough wakes him up.

Snuzpod people are sending me new mattress and new bassinet because I complained there's mould on mine and they market it as fully breathable so it shouldn't go mouldy.

We keep windows open and do all the things you're meant to do because we had damp in our old house and it was a nightmare, but I think the increase in washing with baby means the moisture has increased in the house. Going to have to work harder to keep it aired. Just worry about baby being cold with window open. Thanks so much for the tips everyone I'll get some damp traps.

Sleep consultant sounds great!

LaLaLaaaa · 03/11/2015 19:42

MiniLa is 3 months and about to go into 6-9 months - fat boy

RPopz · 03/11/2015 21:52

That's good news re the snuzpod La

Does anyone watch Hollyoaks??

He's making bloody parkin now!!?! He's like some kind of festive feeder.... Confused

deeplybaffled · 03/11/2015 23:22

I too have baby poo concerns - it smells of sour red wine / wine vinegar and is yellow -y green. Surely that can't be right?

We have the dreaded first jabs tomorrow, so are armed with calpol and nervous!
fleur - baby d has only slept for about 7 hours in the last 24. We too may end up with a sleep consultation at this rate - will be interested to hear how you get on.

deeplybaffled · 03/11/2015 23:24

Hope all poorly babies feel better soon - it's so hard not to be able to wave a magic wand and make it all ok.

Fleurchamp · 04/11/2015 07:36

How old is baby D deeply? I remember S going through a sleep strike around 5/6 weeks - horrendous!

We had jabs here too yesterday and a very disturbed night. DH has the day off today but didn't help out at all last night Sad I asked him to but he just said he couldn't as he doesn't have boobs (he could have tried to settle him, but apparently not). So tired I can't even be bothered to argue.

He did take him downstairs at 6.30am "to let me sleep" but brought him back at 7!!! thanks Hmm

Hope the poorly babies get well soon Flowers

Oh god - I have just seen this [santa]
Already!?!!

LaLaLaaaa · 04/11/2015 07:49

What are you talking about Popz? GrinUsed to be a holly oaks addict but weaned myself off.

Fleur was that the 2nd lot? And he's talking shite - he has arms and a voice, of course he can shush him! B slept ok last night despite the cough - it doesn't seem to wake him up. But I've been awake since 5:30 so just asked dh to take him downstairs so that I can read mumsnet relax a bit.

Deeply a sleep consultant might be really helpful

Cavalry arriving today (my mum)

LaLaLaaaa · 04/11/2015 07:50

Deeply is baby getting enough hind milk? That can make green nappies

RPopz · 04/11/2015 08:34

deeply When they start getting all dribbly and drooly for teething that can make the poo quite acidic, as they're swallowing all that extra drool. Also if they've got a cold it can get quite green and mucousy. I don't think the fore/hindmilk thing is an issue if you feed on demand.

Sounds like he's got an intolerance or something fleur? Are you still dairy free? Did the paediatrician not have anything useful to say in the end?? Poor mite. MrP also uses the "no boobs, no help" philosophy.... Angry

La - it's really sad - Mercedes loses her baby. I was sobbing!

ZylaB · 04/11/2015 09:07

popz I watch hollyoaks and had a sniffle too! Stuff like that never used to bother me, now I blub at everything!!

H is poorly too, she hardly slept last night because she has a really stuffy nose and is struggling to feed too, poor mite. It's obviously poorly baby season :(. We're meant to be going to a friend with a little baby today, I messaged to say H was snuffly and did she still want us to come but haven't heard so I dunno what to do now! If I knew we weren't gojng I might get dressed later hehe.

LaLaLaaaa · 04/11/2015 09:12

Oh! I thought the comment about being festive feeder was linked to hollyoaks :(

RPopz · 04/11/2015 18:06

Oh, no! Haha. That was for MrPopz and his parkin which was surprisingly yummy.

I couldn't stop thinking about the hollyoaks thing because they induced her labour with the oxytocin drip which struck me as really cruel. I think I'd just want a section and it over and done with. Sad

Apologies for unpleasant subject matter xx

ZylaB · 04/11/2015 20:34

Yeah popz but they also did an ultrasound first to check reduced movements, which they don't do in real life, they just try the monitor first.

cookielove · 04/11/2015 20:36

popz I watch Hollyoaks it was sad! And oh no Joe!!!

Oh no this thread is full of poorly babies, fx they all start feeling better and sleeping better soon.

E has a snotty nose, but he is fine with it.

Today he ate kiwi for the first time, it was hilarious :)

RPopz · 04/11/2015 21:22

Yeah I noticed that too Zyla! No ctg, just checked her blood pressure and then did the ultrasound. Weird..

Minion · 05/11/2015 10:15

Hi all. Arghhh I've not watched hollyoaks this week.. Thought it was going that way though, poor mercy!
I'm at work so can't skive for long but nursery is a fucking miracle worker. Sheets all her food bow she's better, and is doing a whole nights sleep with full bottles.
She was sleeping through with a random stir every Now and then but for tge past two nights..not a sausage!

Imiss her but long may this continue

Sorry haven't read through, will catch up when boss does one

Pisghetti · 05/11/2015 11:00

BabyPis had green poo until I started block feeding so I do think the foremilk/hind milk thing can be an issue. She's a pretty lazy feeder so won't stay on long enough to empty a boob so offering the same boob for a couple of feeds helps. I don't think she's ever fed for longer than twenty minutes and 5-10 is more usual. Her brother was the same.

I don't watch holly oaks (unless I have a hangover) but read the guest post about it. Very sad Sad but if it raises awareness of the importance of foetal movements then that's good.

BabyPis is spark out but in the middle of the bed. I'm afraid she'll wake up if I move her. But I can't leave her there to have a cuppa do some cleaning. Hmmm...... Might brave moving her...

ZylaB · 05/11/2015 14:08

Why didn't I go to baby cinema before now? It's amazing!

Toast85 · 05/11/2015 15:08

What did you watch zyla? I want to check my local one out soon. Missed spectre though. **
**
I haven't seen hollyoaks in years. I just watched neighbours though, Amber's baby was born premature and taken off to nicu. Brought up memories of melba's birth and her being whisked away, I bawled my eyes out and it's left me feeling a bit fragile this afternoon.

Also not helped that I just feel so bloody knackered. Still feeding every 2 hours or so, sometimes more frequently than that. Only 1.5 hours the last 3 feeds today. The last few days she seems to have been doing more snacking too rather than good long feeds, so I don't really feel like I'm even able to fill her up properly at the moment. I just feel really fed up. Sorry for the moan. Need something to flip me out of this mood I guess but it's pissing down with rain so I don't feel much like going for a walk and I'm bored of sitting on the sofa watching TV.

ZylaB · 05/11/2015 18:31

Saw spectre! :)

ZylaB · 05/11/2015 18:32

And toast have some hugs! It does get better eventually, I promise!

deeplybaffled · 06/11/2015 02:42

For sale - one 9 week old baby. no reasonable ( or unreasonable ) offer refused.
Buyer must have strong masochistic streak, dislike sleep, enjoy attending multiple inconclusive medical appointments, and have ability to do anything unavoidably necessary around house very quickly or one handed or both.
May suit viroid intending to have second child but doesn't want to do pregnancy and labour elements.
No returns, baby sold as seen.

She's slept for 2 hours in total between 11.15am and just now at 2.30am. And that was mainly in the car or the carrier.
I am getting seriously worried that something is genuinely wrong for her to be this unsettled....Sad

RPopz · 06/11/2015 08:18

Hugs and coffee for those who need them! Brew xx

LaLaLaaaa · 06/11/2015 09:00

Deeply hugs!!! We all know you don't mean it but I think we all also know how you feel!

Pis babypis sounds like MiniLa - he doesn't feed for long and I block feed so that he gets full boob and help with my stupid jet wash milk! When I used to change boob each time he had green poo

We are just at hospital for rescan of hips - cross fingers for no dysplasia!

LaLaLaaaa · 06/11/2015 11:27

I love baby cinema!

Hips - one has developed ok the other hasn't. Bugger. So having to go to an urgent review.

Damn my inferior hips and their hereditary habits
