Add your stats Viroids (or don't bother). I feel like there's something I'm supposed to write here but don't know what it is... Confused

Have a fantastic evening out, Fleur, you bloody deserve it and you are not being unreasonable!

Minion · 09/10/2015 19:40

Def not being unreasonable!

Nursery was Errr....
She settled in and we scampered off. Hour and a half later she's crying and totally lost it. She's not one for being held to be soothed so they couldn't get her to sleep so she was knackered and she wouldn't take a bottle off them so she was starving.
Thankfully when we arrived she munched a salmon sarnie.
She's been a nightmare but aren't we all when we're poorly..

God I hope she gets past it..

cookielove · 09/10/2015 20:01

Hello all :)

fleur why yes I did. I have yet to test it but thank you very much. I have yet to go the the post office but will tomorrow :).

dulcet I have been selected for the cadbury thread thing too Grin

ZylaB · 10/10/2015 04:36

Pick up put down is making my boobs leak. Been ages since my boobs leaked. Fun fun fun....

Toast85 · 10/10/2015 05:34

La that does sound stressful. We did a 15min journey just as Melba was about to wake up for a feed last night and that was bad enough!

Zyla I hate leaky boobs. I hope they settle down soon. The fact that you say yours haven't leaked in ages is pretty encouraging tbh! I kinda thought it would continue as long as I BF for!

I'm lying in bed having just fed Melba, she's back in her crib but making the strangest noises, think it may be a bit of trapped wind, sounds like an orchestra warming up!

ZylaB · 10/10/2015 05:46

toast it's because she's upset and I know she wants boob to put herself to sleep, I'm leaking in sympathy! It's been months since I last leaked, so it does get better! :)

DulcetMoans · 10/10/2015 06:11

Beginning to think everyone that applied is on the panel cookie! Feel less special now. Better still get some chocolate!

Stressful nursery trip then min. Did they call you back? Hope she gets better soon!

They do make some weird noises toast. God knows why! Sometimes J just let's out one high pitched cry and makes me jump. He's still asleep doing it!

People with older babies - what can we expect when the clocks change? Will it muck up their sleep?

Minion · 10/10/2015 08:25

She was ok when we arrived, been crying for about 15 mins, couldn't sleep etc.
She's just gone through till 5;45 then back down at 6:30 awake at 8 so not all bad.

She just needs to get past taking milk from someone other than us. We can only get a full bottle in her when she's dozy so it's never going to happen I think.

cookielove · 10/10/2015 10:29

dulcet I have been pondering what to do with the clocks changing, I was gonna wing it Grin but that probably own work!

DulcetMoans · 11/10/2015 02:57

Slow day! All busy enjoying the sunshine with smiley, happy families I hope!

Maybe we will magically get extra sleep cookie! Hopefully it won't be all earlier wake ups. Is that the right way for clocks to change? I never remember!

What happens when she tried a bottle from others then min? Some is of my NCT group struggle with the same thing. No one fully cracked it yet.

Minion · 11/10/2015 07:29

She opened her mouth then shut and refused it.
Thankfully she's at an age where she will probably drop to two bottles anyway but she mostly takes that one fully (the only one).
I just know as soon as she doesn't need formula she won't bother with it.
She has a tiny bit of cows milk in the morning when she scrounges breakfast off the husband but she won't take either in a sippy cup, just water.

So none have cracked it? What do they end up doing?

LaLaLaaaa · 11/10/2015 07:30

Hello! Sitting in the dark with B asleep on boob. Don't want to jinx it but his belly seems to be a bit better at night....

I've jinxed it haven't I!?

Last night he slept til 2, then 3-5:30. So only 2 wake ups for me - hooray! Although I've been up since 5:30 - boooo!

Dh still in London and I'm less than impressed with him. Since last Sunday he's phoned once (not because he wanted to chat but because he wanted to know if I'd be home for broadband engineer) and only texted when I've prompted him by asking if he remembers we exist. Think he's reliving his fun years and going out every night.

Been pretty fed up - not left baby at all since birth and was due to go for dinner with mate on wed. Expressed milk ready and spent two nights going through bedtime routine with DM so she could look after B. Plan was if out him to bed then she would babysit and give bottle if he woke up. Was all psyched up for leaving him for first time.

My friend cancelled at 3pm on wed, leaving me no time to find anyone else who might be able to come out. Thought I might be able to go out this weekend instead but all my mates are away.

Absolutely gutted! Was so excited.

Did nct first aid course yesterday which was good except B was mega wiggly and kept shouting 'GA!' all the way through. Quite funny

Also my son has started talking to random things on walls in the house. His new best friend is a wooden gecko from Sri Lanka in the lounge. If he sees it he hides his fave and goes all shy, then gives it a massive gummy smile before jabbering away in baby language to it.

He's also quite partial to the giraffe sticker on the wall of the nursery. I have to wind him in the dark in there at night because if he sees it he wakes up completely, gives it a massive smile and starts chatting to it. It's honestly the funniest thing I've ever seen! He has proper conversations!

He's lovely at the moment - he's properly grabbing hold of stuff, holding eye contact and talking gibberish to things.

LaLaLaaaa · 11/10/2015 07:32

The only time dh gave b a bottle I had to go and retrieve my traumatised DS an hour later after what sounded like a child being tortured

LaLaLaaaa · 11/10/2015 07:46

Also a question about what to wear under gro bags!

Room is 17.7 degrees, goes up to 18 sometimes.

I've still got B in long sleeve vest under 2.5 tog but just noticed the guide says under 18 he should be in long sleeve vest plus pj top. I don't own pj tops - does it mean a babygrow or sleep suit on top of long sleeve vest?

DulcetMoans · 11/10/2015 08:00

I just wrote a long reply, has it really disappeared or is MN fucking about???

DulcetMoans · 11/10/2015 08:06

God damn it! Ok...

We are early enough into motherhood for the solution to be they just don't go out min. But it's not sustainable. There are two of the girls struggling. One had tickets to the rugby this week and had been working on bottles with their DD for weeks and weeks but she just screamed. Last weekend they found she had thrush so have been treating that and she did take a bottle from their DM while they were at the match. Other couple just haven't left her.

Glad you had a good week without DH la, bit off for him not to have called. Sounds like he's missing some excellent baby moments. When is he due back? We have J in a best, sleep suit, gro bag and I sling a blanket over him in the early hours. Not sure of the temp of our house but i think its cold.

No grabbing things deliberately here yet but J did roll over for the first time yesterday. Was on the bed so not sure if that makes it easier but DH was here too so at least he got to see. He got stuck on his arm for ages but got there in the end. So hard not to just give him a little push!

RPopz · 11/10/2015 09:09

Gutted about your night out La! Sad B sounds adorable Smile It makes it all worth it! Bit rude of MrLa....

MiniPopz is in a sleepsuit, summer sleep bag and I put a blanket over him, sometimes two. Not sure of the temp here but it's irritatingly changeable I know that much!

Minion · 11/10/2015 09:59

Ahh, I may have had it easier then. She at least took milk from others before solids. Now she knows they exist she's not interested at all.

Off to the garden center to look at christmas displays. God I'm excited!

Fancy seeing what we've got R for her birthday?

Hope that link works..

cookielove · 11/10/2015 11:22

Temp in E's room is 20-21 at the moment so he was in a baby gro and a.1.5 tog bag. Last night he was in a vest, baby gro and 1.5 tog bag!

He just got another tooth so that is three in less than a week! This one he is suffering with a bit more :(

min we have never had any issues with milk, E still has three 7ozs a day. Although now it is cows milk. He also has milk with his porridge in the morning and yogurt E.t.c.

Had a quick look at the birthday gift it is really nice :)

I am debating whether to get a Christmas tree this year as E will destroy it Grin but I love them!!

purplewhale · 11/10/2015 11:42

B sounds fab La, sorry mrLa is being a twat. Hope he improves when he comes home.

Can't wait til we get more interaction, currently he just looks around. Although the last 2 nights he's gone longer between feeds. I'm allowing myself to hope it's going to continue.

We went out last night for a meal with friends and mum babysat. It was weird leaving him but we had a good time. B was very unsettled for her like he is for us in the evenings, which makes me feel better, that it's not just me!
Metanium got rid of the awful nappy rash, so we are now on barrier cream Smile

purplewhale · 11/10/2015 11:44

Temp in our room is 19-20 according to gro egg. B is in a 2.5tog gro bag with no blankets or a 1 tog with a cellular blanket folded in half. He wears a short sleeved body suit and a sleep suit
He never feels too hot or too cold so I think we have it ok

RPopz · 11/10/2015 14:36

We've been out for coffee this morning whilst the dog had his hair trimmed... Mr P spent most of the time staring at his phone, staring into space or eavesdropping the waiting staff who were talking about football.... At home staring at his phone while I play with minipopz. Now in toilet with his phone. We're going shopping later so he can can upgrade his phone contract!!!!

LaLaLaaaa · 11/10/2015 15:23

min that's awesome!

Rolling over dulcet! :O wow! MiniLa is definitely starting teething - he's biting down hard on anything he can get in his mouth, sucking everything and dribbling everywhere. My shoulder is WET!

popz I think that phone's due a date with the loo! 'Oops!'

purple glad you[ enjoyed your evening out! All babies are fussy in the evenings, I wouldn't worry about yours being fussy :) Mine screams after bath every day.

DM is currently singing nursery rhymes to B - why are all nursery rhymes based around death or illness or being mean to little boys and girls!??! 'Here comes the chopper to chop off her head', 'four and twenty blackbirds in a pie'

I've told her she's corrupting my child Grin

cookielove · 11/10/2015 16:01

popz that is excessive! I would be really annoyed at him all the frigging time.

I've just noticed I have dressed E up as a mini French man :) all he needs is some onions round his neck Blush

la that was an epic trip in to London!

purplewhale · 11/10/2015 16:13

Popz are things any better? Most men I know are surgically attached to their phones, DH doesn't take his in the loo but DB definitely does!

La I can't get over you're dealing with teething already, I've lost track of time though! The world has stood still for the past nearly 5 weeks!
