Add your stats Viroids (or don't bother). I feel like there's something I'm supposed to write here but don't know what it is... Confused

Oh Tee lovie that sounds horrendous. Hope it's a short phase.

I'm waiting for doctors rounds to see if they will let me go home with tablets

mountaingirl01 · 21/09/2015 14:05

Lots of unmumsnetty love to both of you purple and tee.. I didn't want to read and run Flowers

WilHarlot · 21/09/2015 14:26

I hope at least you got a night's sleep Purple?

WTF is going on with my baby? Up from 12.30-3.30 in the night and then hasn't napped today since she got up at 7. Driving me frigging demented. Supposed to be going out tonight, things are not going to plan Envy.

cookie, I worry constantly about it believe me, but weirdly enough it's the only way she will take it. I've tried the 'leave the kettle for 30 mins' and because she was so unpredictable eating wise by the time it was cool enough she was over it and refused anything. Then I tried adding the cool water to it afterwards but that wasn't good enough. I've taken a thermometer to the formula and it's 75degress the way I do it though, just have to make sure I'm doubly careful with the amount of cool water added.
I truly worry and hate bottle feeding.
I wish it was easier or she liked milk.

purplewhale · 21/09/2015 14:46

Got about 4 hours. Currently being driven demented by buzzers going off constantly and other patients/children/family.
Have just asked what's happening and when the doc is coming to see me. Nobody seems to know

Minion · 21/09/2015 14:47

tee, poor thing! hope you and mini tee gets some rest and you feel more relaxed... Wine?
wil, yeah MINIon tried the no nap thing the other day, sucks ass.

SnapdragonAzZ09 · 22/09/2015 13:55

Deeply it might also help to elevate your wee one's cot at the head with a few books under the legs. We still do that with our toddler. The calpol plug in us good but it has an annoying blue light that fills the room.

Hope you get home soon, Purple, so sorry you're poorly.

Matchsticks and coffee and cake to you, Tee, this phase will pass too!

min totally with you on bottle feeding. I hate it too. I keep thinking if only we had been able to breastfeed we wouldn't be having any of these problems and MiniSnap would be a healthy bouncing bubba instead of a skinny mini who everyone is worried about.

SnapdragonAzZ09 · 22/09/2015 13:58

Wil, I'm afraid I work in adult neurology so not an expert re children. Is there something in particular you're concerned about? I have lots of paediatric SLT friends who might be able to help or at least point you in the right direction?

Minion · 22/09/2015 14:07

Good job snap, I have to see a neurologist every now and then and all been stars.

RPopz · 22/09/2015 15:28

Bloody mn! I thought it was down all day yesterday but apparently it just wouldn't let me on. Hmph.

Minipopz is a snot machine. I don't known if it's a cold exactly because he doesn't seem remotely upset or poorly. Just pouring snot.... Yum.

That sounds rough tee - I didn't realise the tearing had been that bad for you Sad GX everything looks shipshape for you. TT sounds like he's doing the 4 month sleep regression like a boss! Life is just too exciting for daytime boob and then they have to catch up with it all at night.... Angry Hugs and coffee Brew x

Right, need to attempt to change Crawly Crawlerson's shitty arse! Wish me luck!

Fleurchamp · 22/09/2015 18:14

We're back!!

Yey!

Eeek tee that sounds rough. I thought things got easier Sorry to hear about your fanjo too.

Hope you get out soon purple

We made it home this afternoon. So to celebrate were out for tea. DH deserves a pint for all the running round he's done.
B is 2 weeks old and this is his 2nd pub trip Smile

Minion · 22/09/2015 20:04

Yay purple! So glad you're home and celebrating!

We had a second sleep through. Til 6:45 this morning!
Over the moon.

purplewhale · 22/09/2015 20:13

Woohoooo for sleeping through. May this be the new normal

RPopz · 22/09/2015 20:38

What time does she go to bed Min?

cookielove · 22/09/2015 22:01

min sorry didn't mean to worry you more, I actually think it's fine in the long run I just wouldn't suggest giving it to newborns that way. I have mixed E's formula in the past with completely cool sterile water and given it straight to him and my friend has done the same with her lo too. They both have survived!

Yay for being home purple

Minion · 22/09/2015 22:01

The night before Iast she thought that sitting up was more interesting so she didn't drop off till 7:15, last night about 6:45 and tonight 6:30.
I'm not expecting her to continue. Expect less then there's no dissappintments ha.

Pisghetti · 22/09/2015 22:47

I couldn't settle BabyPis after a 2.45 feed last night. I'm not sure exactly what time she finally went to sleep but it was light. I've been feeling fucked all day. We have a busy day tomorrow. Please God let me have some sleep....

Hope you're having a good night out Wil!

Glad you're home Purple

Yay for sleeping through Min!

Hope the shitty arse mission was successful Popz. BabyPis is having tiny amounts of solids and doesn't seem to actually eat very much but her nappies have become vile! I miss sweet breastmilk poos Sad

All in all a pretty shite week then Tee? Brew Cake hope this stage doesn't last too long

DulcetMoans · 23/09/2015 03:44

That does sound awful (and scary!) tee, really hope it stops soon. You must be exhausted and confused.

Sounding rough for you too snap, do you have family nearby?

Great news you're out purple! Brave to go out to eat, we still having managed that!

FX for another good night min. It's sounding promising!

We are in the midsts of the first cold here, started st 3am yesterday! He's had calpol, bed has been raised, olbus oil everywhere and the plug in was running before case went to bed. Hoping we can ride it out that way - with all the drugs! Hope you've got a similar set you to get through it popz! Preventative! Snotty and crawling = snorting sofa??

Oh he's so snotty! If only he could blow his nose. Struggling to feed.

DulcetMoans · 23/09/2015 03:45

Oh and the fire alarm is beeping. FFS!

gaggiagirl · 23/09/2015 06:03

Morning viroids. Its me and my boy checking in. We are official.

Carole of BBCs weather fame is wearing a rather daring dress this morning. As you were.

Minion · 23/09/2015 06:23

Morning gaggia, official welcome extended to you two!
dulcet, you have employed the same tactic as I do. If in doubt get drugs out. Also you can run the shower really hot, get bathroom nice and steamy and sit with him in there for ten mins too.

Well it's 6:21 and she's still sleeping!!!!
Woke briefly at 11:30 but I canlive with that

Sack that she's making a noise

deeplybaffled · 23/09/2015 07:04

Can any of you remember how long it took your babies to get back to birth weight?
It took madam 16 days after a 7% loss, despite apparently eating like a collection of horses stapled together. ..
Have been referred to a lactation clinic by the health visitor to see if they have any clues, because she's also not really sleeping - she was awake yesterday from 7 am till about 3.45pm with about 2-3 20 minute naps.
Whoever said that new born sleep for 16 hours a day had clearly confused them with cats.

LaLaLaaaa · 23/09/2015 08:17

Hooray! Haggis is here! Gaggia of course (phone autocorrects it)

Yesterday my snotty baby pushed so hard to do a poo whilst bf he exploded an unbelievable amount of snot out of his nose and all over my boob and down himself. It was like slimer in ghostbusters

Fleurchamp · 23/09/2015 09:31

Welcome gaggia and son Grin

Nice image there la Shock

Good work on the sleeping min

S slept 8.30pm to 1.15am and then 2am until 5am without a formula top up!!! First time in two weeks.

But after 5am feed he will have a 45 min nap and then is a nightmare to get to sleep for the rest of the day.

Right now he is dozing on me after screaming for 45mins - I believe out of tiredness Angry

Why won't he just nap?? If someone wrapped me in a blanket and put me down in a cot to nap right now I would be delighted Sad

Just sleeeeeeeeeep damn you.

Scratch that he is awake...
