Got mine back exactly 8 week after R. Then it's been every 32 days or so except one which was 72 days.
Hate it
And they're more painful
And heavier

LaLaLaaaa · 14/08/2015 12:21

He had one job. One job.

Register the baby.

Wrote everything down he needed to say. Wrote all details down.

Just back with birth certificate.

My maiden name is spelled incorrectly.

He had one job.

Fuuuuuck you must be raging.

You can change it free of charge if you do it straight away. You'll laugh about this in ten years, honestly although you may kill him first.

MrWil just woke the baby because he needed his gym shorts.

RPopz · 14/08/2015 13:03

Oh no La! What an eejit!

Can you ovulate without having a period wil? I've been icing for frigging ages then!

WilHarlot · 14/08/2015 13:52

You must be able to if some people get pregnant when breastfeeding?

SnapdragonAzZ09 · 14/08/2015 14:33

You can ovulate without having a period and some babies go on nursing strike when it happens as it can change the taste of your milk!

Wil thanks for suggesting Carobel. Saw the GP today who thinks baby Snap has reflux. She was interested to hear about Carobel as she didn't know about it and was happy to prescribe it - she looked it up and it seems to be made from natural ingredients. We agreed that Gaviscon was best avoided due to constipation issues. Fingers crossed it helps!

For those who are tearing their hair out over non-sleeping babies, you might enjoy this...I find that connecting telepathically with my baby is the best way to find out what the hell he wants:

RPopz · 14/08/2015 15:09

Ah interesting snap...

I am so frigging bored!!! This rain can bugger off.

A bajillion bloody toys and minipopz is playing with a pack of babywipes and a plastic bottle full of rice... Hmm

Minion · 14/08/2015 15:26

popz with you Sista!
Mine has just woken up and currently entertaining herself with raspberries.
Not the fruit
The spitty ones.
Delightful

Fleurchamp · 14/08/2015 16:42

Can only get things done with S in a sling BUT I am sooooo hot, sweat is pouring off me....

S is snoring though which is cute.

Fleurchamp · 14/08/2015 16:43

What an idiot la! I don't think my DH can spell my maiden name either - the first time he tried to email me he got it completely wrong even though I had written it down for him Hmm

Fleurchamp · 14/08/2015 16:45

Another question:

When you express, how long do you do it for and how much milk do you get? I only have a manual pump at the moment and have expressed twice for about 10 mins per boob today, I have about 15ml!!! By this rate I will be able to go out at Christmas!

LaLaLaaaa · 14/08/2015 17:02

Hi viroids!

I finally finished and posted my birth story on grads. It's a bit long so I had to do it in two posts! If you make it to the end you win a prize.

How are you all? I had a massive 'I can't do this' moment today, but thankfully DS then fell asleep finally and my sanity has somewhat returned.

OK to catch up...

min did minimin sleep in the end? Did you do the hallowed 'sleep when they sleep' thing that no one ever does?

My LO wakes himself up farting. It really is quite funny.

popz I think he might just be a hot baby! My dh says there's no such thing but the bf counsellor said today that there is. He just seems to be boiling hot all the time. I really despair because if I put him in just a sleepsuit at night then he wakes himself up flailing arms about and if I put him in the 1 tog sleeping bag plus short sleeved bodysuit then he seems boiling. Alternatives? Nappy and sleeping bag seems too little. Oh I give up!

Mr wil is daft - no one needs gym shorts that badly!

I've had to phone the registrar to arrange to get birth certificate changed, on the bloody same day Mr La registered him. aaaaaaa! Honestly he's such an idiot, apparently they told him to check it and everything so he's got no excuse.

snap I love that article, it cracks me up

I still can't use a sling fleur until a month after CS. Grrr...means I have to sit with baby on me if he won't sleep. I express for about ten minutes but my flow is quite fast and I get about 120ml in that time. Yours will increase the more you do I think.

OP posts:
RPopz · 14/08/2015 17:05

I used to just do it until I got bored or my hand ached fleur!! My yield was always pretty poor too though. I think the best I got was 30-40ml when I was massively engorged first thing on a morning. I fed mini from one side and pumped the other. You might get more with an electric but I could just never be bothered to spend the money to find out.

RPopz · 14/08/2015 17:05

Ooh will go have a look La Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 14/08/2015 17:30

You'll get more with electric pump flair - much easier

OP posts:
LaLaLaaaa · 14/08/2015 17:34

Fleur not flair!

OP posts:
WilHarlot · 14/08/2015 17:36

Will have a look when I get five secs hours La Wink .

Yeah one of the fancy electric pumps will probably be better Fleur although some people do say they struggle to express anything. Try whilst feeding like Popz said.

Interesting Snap. Hope Caribel works.

This child will not be put down. Sling isn't working as I can't do jobs with her on my front since she got bigger but she's too wee to go on my back. Doing my head in.

Minion · 14/08/2015 17:54

Did she sleep?
Did she sleep?
My god, it's all she's done.
First nap was 1 hour 35mins, second was 1 hour 40 and she's ready for it now.
Wish she's just stay asleep overnight now.

Deffo think she's transitioned to 2 naps without me noticing.
Thanks fuck she didn't make a drama out of it, my mates baby made a big hoo aha about it and took ages to get in the swing of things,
But then she sleeps through the night, even with a heart defect.
Swings and roundabouts eh.

WilHarlot · 14/08/2015 18:14

La so much of your story is exactly the same as my first time. Except the c-section. Also remember thinking I'd have my baby on the day I went in for induction! The hospital staff sound really pretty awful though, especially the bit about the stirrups - imagine if you hadn't known that yourself. That's really disappointing. Hopefully if you do it again it'll be a lot easier x

teejayem · 14/08/2015 18:23

Christ la you had it all! You poor thing. Did you have any stitching from the forceps attempts? I really know what you mean about people not bloody listening, I had a stirrups argument too, and also felt a by 'done to' rather than a participant. Nowhere near as bad as yours tho!
What I do find interesting is the literature I was given before and after my delivery around the statistics of needing instrumental interventions/cs and tearing and all that. It reads as if they are rare occurrences, but unless we are an especially unlucky group, in wondering if that's actually the case. In fact the two girls I worked with who were my due date buddies in real life both ended up with CS too.

So TT pooed extensively in his sleeping bag the other night without me realising and I basically had a poo soaked baby sleeping on me all night as a result. On the upside he is seemingly over his vaxxing strop and has been smiley and bopping at his toys all afternoon. We have house viewings tomorrow, hopefully we find something this time...

DulcetMoans · 14/08/2015 18:58

Oooo will have a read later la. Maybe save for overnight! Although still worried whether birth stories might make me cry! We had 4/8 c-sections in my NCT group too tee, not that rare!

Good napping there min! Don't suppose you got rest too? Hopefully two naps means a longer overnight at some point.

I can only get 2oz on my manual fleur. My electric hire turned up today so will let you know if I do any better!

Registering all fine, he's a real person! Looked weird seeing it written down... What a ball ache for the name error la! Is it easy to fix? My occupation. Was wrong but spotted when they get you to check.

I'm going out next Saturday evening for a hen do meal. Hopefully 7-10pm. Will it be ok?!

Minion · 14/08/2015 19:20

Sadly no, dulcet, I didn't expect her to do it so was on edge.
Gah

DulcetMoans · 14/08/2015 19:28

Totally understand that min, that's what happens here!

ZylaB · 14/08/2015 19:32

Regarding periods, nothing here yet. I got really grumpy and bad stomach cramps for a couple of days last week, was sure I was about to start, but nope...

RPopz · 14/08/2015 19:34

Bloody hell min! I'm lucky if miniP naps for 40 minutes these days. Wah.

What an epic story La - how do you feel about it all now?

I know what you mean Tee - the mw who did our NHS antenatal classes wouldn't even talk about c-sections or instrumentals and kept saying "oh you won't need to know about that" .... When I took my birth plan to show my community mw, I was asking her about episiotomies and she made out they were mega rare. I was on foetal monitor, stuck on bed, purple pushing, ventouse, forceps and an episiotomy! A million miles away from the water birth we wanted too. And it's not exactly uncommon judging by experiences I've read from you viroids and other mum groups....
