ZylaB · 27/07/2015 01:17

Man timing is shit popz :(

Poor you wil are paracetamol not touching it? Got a storm due? I get epic headaches when we're due one.

PixieChops · 27/07/2015 07:07

I'm the same Zyla with getting massive headaches when storms are coming.
Hope you're feeling better Wil- problem with the pram as well is that DD was used to the Stokke and now we have an iCandy it just doesn't meet her high expectations and so won't sleep in it Hmm

Popz sorry you're having a shitty time. Maybe just sit on him and shout at him until he listens.

My kids are doing my head in this morning, been up all night with The littlest one and the the big one decided to pipe up at 6am- had no pissing sleep, on my own with both of them all day today and they're both grumpy sods already. Fuck this I'm having a rum or is it too early for that yet?

WilHarlot · 27/07/2015 08:33

Never too early. I lost count of my night time wakenings. The toddler wakes the baby now she's in her own room. Not sure what to do. Maybe buy a mattress for the travel cot and bring her back to my room? I miss sleep so much. Still have a headache too Sad .

Hope you and Mr P can get a chat today Popz.

WilHarlot · 27/07/2015 08:34

Oh no idea about storm. Don't think so. Assume it's down to lack of sleep.

Pisghetti · 27/07/2015 08:49

I dreamt Wil was pregnant last night Shock

Littlie has been up every 30 mins since about 5am which is pretty standard - she cluster feeds in the morning the wee weirdo. I think she's up for the day now and there is a suspicious smell so I think I'm in for a treat when I change this nappy.

Min just remembered that DS was also not a cuddly baby. However he was the cuddliest toddler ever! So there is hope x

Nessalina · 27/07/2015 09:40

Morning all.

Popz - sounds like your DH is being a nob. Hope you've been able to get over to him why you're so annoyed. It fucks me right off when they won't engage.

Wil - It sounds awful! Surely cot in your room would only be a temporary solution though? Maybe worth it for a few night's kip. Worst case scenario, could you have a big bedroom swap so Mini & Micro aren't right next door to each other??

Min - J is also uncuddly with me, but happy to snuggle up to every other bugger, I agree that it's a bit flipping rude! I try to take it that he feels secure with me etc... When he was ill this weekend he did do a few arms-out-to-mama moments when DH was holding him, and that made me feel quite good. God, and they say that the babies should be the insecure ones! Grin

Pixie - It's never too early for rum!!

Mini - Ooh bridesmaid duties is exciting! October is a long way off, you'll work something out. Who cares if he wimps out and dumps on the MIL, so long as you have a great day!

Pis - I know exactly what you mean, Kryten's head is the perfect comparison! The last time I was at my MILs I spilled a glass of red wine on, AND leaked all over, the spare bed. Blush

Zyla - hope H gets well soon, poor thing! Horrible when there's nowt you can do.

We're back at the GPs with J this morning, the cough has not gone away.
Ont he plus side, my boobs feel awesome!!

JuniDD · 27/07/2015 09:51

Yay for awesome feeling boobs ness.

I think my baby has started eating! Today she let me spoon feed her a couple of mouthfuls of yoghurt then I gave her porridge on a spoon and she pulled it off & ate it! At least I know she can. Eugh, smells like it's already having an affect. Did yours get dreadful stinky wind when they started eating? They're worse than MrJ's!

Here's hoping for a better week popz

pixie stick homes under the hammer on, that's what I always do when I can't be arsed. I find Martin & Lucy very soothing!

Right, starting the week with a trip round the ring road so better crack on.

(can I have a small hooya please am fretting about la)

OP posts:
Pisghetti · 27/07/2015 10:39

I love homes under the hammer! Lost about 50 episodes when I moved from Sky to Virgin. Sad times.

ZylaB · 27/07/2015 10:44

ness hope J is ok soon!

wil hope you get some sleep Brew

Pisghetti · 27/07/2015 10:46

Keep forgetting what else has been said... Juni BabyPis had only wee in her nappy this morning so must have had the smellier farts ever - and she's not even on solids! Yay for BabyJ eating!

Brew For Wil hope you get some sleep soon x and don't forget paracetamol is ok in pregnancy sorry Shock

Haha Ness at least I didn't spill any wine - what a waste Wink

That's lovely mini! We have a wedding in September. I've picked out a wrap to wear but not an outfit as yet Grin

FurryScoob · 27/07/2015 11:00

Ha ha ha, I'm watching homes under hammer (cleaning the kitchen if DP asks) while miniscoobs having a nap.

Hope your poorly babies are better soon zyla & ness

Brew wil our angel care monitor has helped me sleep a lot better when we first shipped miniscoob out but no idea how you stop miniwil from waking micro.

If you think S's farts are bad now juni wait until she starts eating egg. Miniscoob really could floor people with her little stink bombs!

Hope you've had chance to talk to MrP popz & got him to listen.

I'm off to stalk the grads & wait for minila to arrive!

JuniDD · 27/07/2015 13:16

Haha furry we are an egg-free household so I have no idea who will give it to her first as my mum doesn't like them either. No sulphurous nappies here.

She's asleep, gonna watch some of the bridge. There's a lot more nudity than I was expecting!

OP posts:
Nessalina · 27/07/2015 13:33

J's farts are hideous Shock Worse now he's on a bottle, I think he's more windy through guzzling.
GP very nice, gave him a good check over, but said the cough is definitely upper airway & not on his chest, so not to worry. Apparently it can take babies up to 4 weeks to shift a cold!
I've completely cocked up his routine today. We were having lunch late coz I had to go to morrisons for some bits & boots for prescriptions, but he conked out on the way home, and despite me bringing car seat into the house is still fast asleep! Unauthorised nap alert! Grin Not that I'm complaining. Had my lunch in peace Smile
I'm worrying for La too, she must be knackered. What she won't yet appreciate is that after all this labour shizzle, she won't be able to sleep because she'll have a baby!! Confused

Minion · 27/07/2015 14:19

She's making us sweat!
C'mon mini La!
Better night at Mins. Woke a few times but quickly sent back off with dummy insert, wish shed get used to the sleepytot, it'd save me legs sanity
Ness, R's still got her cold, 3 weeks and counting, she's back to the docs this arvo as e are off on jollies tomorrow.

Typically she had decided she would quite like a nap so I'll have to interrupt that to take her, bet it was going to be a nice long, catch up on TV, nap aswell.
Humph

WilHarlot · 27/07/2015 14:57

My poorly big girl is having a nap so trying to convince Micro to do the same. I'd say it's a 50/50 chance of success at the mo. She's doing that thing of trying to burrow through the mattress with her nose.

Oh my God Pis, that's not even funny! Although it'd be very very unlikely thank God.

La sounds like she's doing great so don't fret Juni. My first labour was similar except I got into the labour suite at 4cm before the baby decided to stop coming.

Sorry J still unwell but good it's just a bug. Where are you going on holiday Min?

RPopz · 27/07/2015 15:39

Its a bit of a palava isn't it. La must have one comfy ute!! She's in the right place though Juni don't fret. Thanks

Haha Ness - minipopz just had an unauthorised nap all the way through his baby Daisy class.... Angry

Wil's preggers!? Shock Haha. That reminds me... I had real life cm for the first time ever yesterday Confused

Can't stand Homes under the Hammer.... Judge Rinder all the way Grin

Mini has a tooth poking through on the bottom Shock Shock

How's H and miniwil today?

Minion · 27/07/2015 19:58

We're off to the emerald isle for a week with the in laws (taking R off our hands for a while).
She's been put on antibiotics as her cough should have cleared up by now, apparently this is probably why she's off milk and a few more days and she probably would have gone off solids too!
Poor bairn

Just packed the car, buckeroo springs to mind!!

WilHarlot · 27/07/2015 20:01

How lovely, enjoy!

Congratulatioms on the cm PopzGrin

Mini is fair to middling. We'll still have to stay quarantined for a day or so yet. I may not survive this.

DulcetMoans · 27/07/2015 21:54

Evening all. I've been reading here and JSers but keeping a low profile as didn't want to bring anyone down. It's been a tough week and in all honesty I have been to some dark places in my mind.

The truth is, which I am sure you are all aware of, this is really fucking hard and it's not fun! I feel awful for not being more appreciative of what I have, after such a long and rubbish journey - I should be beaming. But I'm not. I've doubted whether we should even have done this! I am getting better this end of the week but everything feels so scary. DH goes back to work next week - how can I possibly do this alone?!

Anyway, I know that's a bit me, me, me but wanted to show my head and explain I'm still here! It is still nice to read those if you ahead of me and how the rewards (and challenges) are different. Must remember this will all pass.

Pisghetti · 27/07/2015 22:18

Oh Dulcet I'm sorry you're feeling so rough. I don't know if I can help but didn't want to read and run. The last bits of pregnancy and birth are a real trial and just when it's all over and you feel like you might recover you have a demanding (and let's face it pretty unappreciative) baby who won't let you sleep/eat/rest. Only do what you have to, rope in all available help, talk to your MW or HV - if it is going beyond 'normal' baby blues then there is help. If you need to rant, moan or even just talk about something other then poo and milk for a change we'll be here for you. Be gentle with yourself - no it isn't easy and there's no way to prepare yourself for how it will really be. Don't beat yourself up for feeling how you do - it's surprisingly common. There was a thread recently about whether people enjoyed the newborn stage and it might be worth a read so you know you're not alone - many people really hated it but it does always get better. Love to you x x

RPopz · 27/07/2015 22:28

Good to hear from you Dulcet. What Pis said. I've pm'd you x

FurryScoob · 27/07/2015 22:36

Flowers dulcet the newborn stage is really hard, it really does get better just take each day as it comes. I think most of us have posted something similar to you in the first few weeks.

Hope you survived today wil & are now getting some sleep.

Enjoy your holiday min

JuniDD · 27/07/2015 22:37

Massive hugs dulcet, I was thinking only today about this stage...I was so distressed and anxious at one point I suggested to mrJ we give babyJ to someone else, like the neighbour. We are always here to talk but let me tell you you are doing a great job, you will be FINE next week. After a tough birth and the aftermath it's an absolute headfuck let alone then having a baby to look after and recover etc. Am a bit incoherent, but please don't feel you can't talk here.

My child went to bed at bedtime, first time in a MONTH I've had an evening so I watched a documentary about gay surfers. Rock and roll.

OP posts:
DulcetMoans · 28/07/2015 01:18

Thanks all. I have felt a bit like maybe I am going mental and it gets hard as every medical professional asks 'how are you feeling?' By which stage I almost always cry! They start off saying it's normal, hormones, and then this week it's more 'maybe you should talk to your GP?'. We are all wishing la baby here, and I do for her, but can't help thinking id be wishing it to stay in right now!

It's all maybe been a bit much at once - forceps, section, his infection, tongue tie and even today we were at the hospital due to a rash (all fine). Even him being so big I wasn't prepared for and certainly not him being so hungry!

It does help to know others felt similar. I knew it would be hard, I wasn't expecting an easy ride, but how hard I think is hard to grasp until you're in it.

Gay surfers was an interesting choice juni, was worth it??!

ZylaB · 28/07/2015 01:58

dulcet I seriously struggled for a good while after H was born and posted several times saying I couldn't do it and was a terrible mummy for wanting her to be easier. Everyone here was lovely and we are here for you, if only to nod our heads and agree about how bloody hard it is!! It does get easier and they are worth it, I promise! Big hugs xx
