Jelley · 27/11/2006 10:31

I'm reading that as the squished mouse sounds lovely. Really need to go and clean.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/11/2006 10:31

lol!

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 10:36

Not the mouse

CSWS - She only looks cute when its something nice that she thinks she shouldn't have been doing (like dressing up DS)... when its cos she's poured water over the lounge floor, tis decidedly less cute

Still sooo much

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 14:38

.

dewmeadow · 27/11/2006 15:57

snigger at nose whistling in yoga and ......ach shite, I forget....o well

Flame(good toi see you back, neer really got used to the demon) still haven t confronted DS sleeping situation as he's STILL teething and IM wrecked, but I think soon we're going to resort to CC too.

Is your DS in room with his DD? If so, does CC waken her?

hiya to all

Tried to go for a run yesterday morning and nearly went on my ass on on the ice!!

mustrunmore · 27/11/2006 16:35

Dont snigger

Just posted my mumsnet pressie box

Oh, and we have the first bit of a third tooth poking through!

mustrunmore · 27/11/2006 16:36

Still cant believe the washing machine

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 18:37

Me neither MRM - and am feeling very and what with the "mn charity" thread.

CC doesn't seem to wake DD (well it did after 1 1/2 hrs, but that is to be expected).

Jelley · 27/11/2006 18:42

Don't feel or flame. Go back to as I'm sure that is what your giver intended.

mustrunmore · 27/11/2006 18:45

I know , re that thread It does make doubt creep into my mind though; maybe I should've just spent a bit more on the boys or dh instead of helping out a stranger?

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 18:50

NO! The world is a crappy place. If you have enough for your own family to be happy and a little bit to spare then a random act of kindness is the right thing to do. Think how good that whole thread was making everyone - more the joy of being able to give to a stranger. It doesn't matter if they are desperately in need or not, all that matters is what was in your heart when you gave - you give with the right intention, your children will grow up wanting to help others, and the world will be a nice place. No-one gives, everyone thinks of their own tiny world, and the world as a whole will fall apart.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 18:51

a bit emphatic there...

mustrunmore · 27/11/2006 18:58

I know; you're right. Think I'm just on a downer due to a combination of that thread, dh being really upset about last months chitty from me , him never being here because he's always at work and tired, and me still having the cold from hell . But thats life

mustrunmore · 27/11/2006 18:59

And actuallly, the boys dont need anything else. I purposely dont want them to have too many pressies, sio I guess its just a few less luxury foods like chocs or cake or posh dips - which aren't necessary anyway

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 18:59

Awwwwwwwwwww Have some virtual chocolate.... >

mustrunmore · 27/11/2006 19:00

Jesus, dont do that! I dont want to be fat on here aswell as in rl

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/11/2006 19:33

Blimey - I have a busy day out and it all kicks off! DH was working at home today, and surfing MN too, and told me about the charity thread. Just had a read. It is an interesting debate, but on a very emotive subject given the timing of it.

You really shouldn't feel or though flame - as Jelley says, your giver would much rather you were , as that will make it all worthwhile for them.

mrm - you made me really larff with your last comment!

Got my mum here for a few days now. Will be off to do bathtime shortly, but will be back on later.

mustrunmore · 27/11/2006 19:38

Hello csws's Mum
I've given up trying to keep up with those threads; there's too many parallel ones now!

Frizbe · 27/11/2006 21:21

re the washing machine Flame, how fab which reminds me I've not had a link to anyone yet, I must find the thread and re post! have you all had the email from Beety?? if not I'll send it CSWS and it can go onwards from there!

You've all had a great chatty weekend then!!

We had a fab time away lots of good company from dh, fine food and wine exactly what the dr ordered!! the kids were sweet when we got back too, dd1 'they're here' quick hug then back to playing, dd2, looks up from toys, accepts hug and kiss, then back to toys, approx 10secs later, realises where hug n kiss came from, grabs hold of me and doesn't let me go for half hour, bar a quick hug for dh, clung onto me and chewed my shoulder intermittantly providing huge grins awww she missed me still no teeth tho....

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/11/2006 21:37

Was going to type 'what e-mail from Beety?', but I guess that answers your question! Curious now so def forward please.

Sounds like you had a lovely time away, and how cute the DDs were.

Frizbe · 27/11/2006 21:47

Hi CSWS, have sent you that mail!
We had a great time, so nice to just be us two again for nearly two days, sometimes you just need a spot of you time you know!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/11/2006 22:07

Got it, but don't have the required info. Have forwarded to Jas, flame and Chloe. Forgot to do mrm as her contact details are in diff place - will do her now.

OP posts:
Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 22:09

Awwwwwwwww - DD was like that when we came back from honeymoon - I wanted to hold her and never let her go, but she just sort of gave me a hug and proceeded to tell Daddy all about her new teddy... by the end of the car journey she had found me again and just clung to me!!!

Echoing the "what email"

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 22:12

Got it

Frizbe · 27/11/2006 22:26

cool, was just reading Sue's blog hope they're back home to UK soon
