A lovely thread for all the JS Grad Grads to chat feeding, sleep and post-birth STUFF.

Roll call please ladies and perhaps add the number of slings and buggies you have acquired at the time of posting... wink

Great news on the sleeping juni & sorry to the rest who got shit nights. min as soon as miniscoob could roll over & sleep on her belly we got a lot better nights. Keep your fingers crossed R gets rolling completely over soon!

Anyone else getting jealous of the glowing pregnancy FB photos the grads keep posting? I never glowed & now I have thin hair, greasy skin, bags under my eyes & random sick patches I haven't noticed bothered to clean up on my clothes.

The angelcare sensor monitors gone off the last 2 nights, miniscoob keeps wiggling to the edge of the cot. Hoping that's all it is & it's not her stopping breathing Confused

ZylaB · 20/04/2015 10:01

juni bless you, it does go really fast!

furry I never glowed either!

min sorry you had another bad night Brew

Nessalina · 20/04/2015 10:11

Weird aside, but I bloody love that there's three thriving JS freds these days Smile When I was a JSer, the grads thread was a pathetically quiet thing, and Just Mumming hasn't even made it through a 2nd fred, now the grads are as busy as the JSers used to be, and we're not doing too bad considering we've all got sprogs to look after!! What a fabulous bunch of viroids Smile

Nessalina · 20/04/2015 10:13

I'm still sick as a dog Confused On top of the kidney infection I've now got DH's cold too, and so has J!! Little man keeps sneezing and coughing and wanting cuddles, but I'm bed bound, so DH is in charge - for now!

The blind in J's nursery fell off the wall with a crash yesterday Shock Luckily he wasn't in the cot at the time! I think a Gro-blind might be a good temporary solution...

RPopz · 20/04/2015 10:28

Aw Juni. Time's flying by isn't it. Happy half birthday S! Smile

Not sure I glowed either Scoob though I looked infinitely better than I do right now! Think my breastfeeding diet of caffeine and refined sugar is finally catching up with me.... Shock

Sorry about the bad nights ladies. I was up til midnight last night just dicking about on my phone. Minipopz was asleep. No idea what I was playing at!! Haha.

RPopz · 20/04/2015 10:28

Feel better soon Ness xxThanks

ZylaB · 20/04/2015 11:17

ness feel better!

I also love the fact there's 3 great JSers threads :)

Nessalina · 20/04/2015 11:45

I'm a bugger for doing that Popz Confused Then I'm soooo tired the next day with only myself to blame!!

WilHarlot · 20/04/2015 13:01

Poor you Ness, get better soon.

I say every night that I won't get my phone out during night feeds and every night I fail.

We had another crap night too.

Ooh Juni it must be my half birthday too then! Good excuse to eat cake Grin .

JuniDD · 20/04/2015 13:08

I am so not jealous of the pg crew I have to say! Though I am wearing a maternity vest and it is too tight!!!!!

Dd had a half-birthday meltdown so ran out to the shops and bought her loads of clothes. MrJ is going to be packing me off to work I think. Blush

wil I didn't realise you shared a birthday, that makes me very happy. Definitely have some cake, I will be later.

JuniDD · 20/04/2015 18:39

Hmmm, bedroom routine has gone to absolute pot around here. Just read something that said a baby her age should have 2-3 naps per day. Shock
Hooya me, I'm sure it's just a phase and things will come right again at some point. And 8pm isn't too late a bedtime, is it? Argh!

FurryScoob · 20/04/2015 20:13

Happy 1/2 birthday wil & minijuni
Hooya too juni 8pm is a good bedtime, miniscoob is wide awake & showing no signs of tiredness. I on the other hand could quite happily crawl into bed & sleep for a week!

Minion · 20/04/2015 20:30

Happiest half birthing day facilitations to you both!

Well R today mastered rolling back to front now so ok hoping she can start to fret less at night (although she hates tummy time do wil probably cry cause of that),
It passes right?

WilHarlot · 20/04/2015 21:42

It does Min then they climb out their cot.

Hope you get a good night Furry. I'd love an 8pm bedtime here. I'm sitting in a dark bedroom playing white noise and she has no intention of going to sleep. 8pm was always MiniWil's bedtime as a baby though. Meant I got a longer lie in the mornings.

ZylaB · 20/04/2015 21:48

H won't even consider bed until 10ish, we've been doing the quiet thing but she just screams if I don't let her feed until my nipples ache before she'll sleep.

RPopz · 20/04/2015 21:57

8pm sounds pretty respectable to me!

Minipopz is actively fighting sleep tonight... Angry

Minion · 20/04/2015 22:06

Oh god if I left this ankle biter till 8pm, she'd scream the house down. As much as I'd love a lie in, id feel bad for the neighbours.
Well I'm off on my conference tomorrow, hope she doesn't forget me. Feel bad for the husband, he has to share a room with the noisy bugger for the next 3 nights.
I may owe him.

FurryScoob · 20/04/2015 22:26

Just sat in a nice hot bubble bath for the first time since the beginning of February (I've had the odd shower inbetween) mrfurry comes wandering in to inform me he needs a shit. You can't beat a bit of romance! Shock

TheBooMonster · 20/04/2015 22:54

Thanks wil I spoke to the HV and she reckons it's all normal but said to try cutting down the dairy to see if it makes any difference.

furry I didn't glow during pregnancy and now I'm too exhausted and busy feeding to glow, I can't remember the last time I work make-up... However I don't envy them being pregnant during the summer!!

E has put on a whole 10 oz since her last weigh in just under 2 weeks ago!

I'm braving slimming world tomorrow, have an alarm set and everything, and the Zumba stuff should turn up tomorrow too, I'm going to try and lose 2 stone by November, today I have eaten mostly chocolate and ice cream so it is not in the cupboards tomorrow to tempt me, it's been like pancake day for sugary crap Grin

Nessalina · 21/04/2015 00:52

Good grief Boo, that's motivated!! I'm hoping this kidney infection diet that I've been on will have knocked off a couple of pounds Grin Not weighed myself in forever, but I feel like a right lump.
J's cold is proper gross, the snotty little bugger darling, and he cries when you wipe his nose Hmm Much prefers to wipe the boogers round his face himself. Babies ming.
We're on a 7:30 bedtime, but depending on how disorganised we are and how annoying he's being it can be as early as 7 or as late as 8. I know we should try to be consistent, but it's hard!

WilHarlot · 21/04/2015 03:24

Feeling any better Ness?

From what I've read Boo, you have to cut it out completely for it to work. Every HCP I spoke to apart from the dietician told me not to bother as it wouldn't make a difference. The difference in her is massive but I can't assume it's just down to that as could also be medication or just getting older.

ZylaB · 21/04/2015 08:22

Woke up this morning to a H who has managed to I swaddle her arms and squirm around enough to get sideways in the foot of her cot! It looked really funny, but she seemed happy enough Grin

On a faaaaar to much tmi alert... When MrZ and me have been DTD, the only lube we had around (after discovering breastfeeding makes it necessary) is some of the sperm friendly stuff to help you conceive. Anyone else find that weird? I was trying to explain to him that it was odd, but in his opinion it doesn't matter as we were using a condom. I still think it's weird!

ZylaB · 21/04/2015 08:23

*unswaddle her arms

WilHarlot · 21/04/2015 09:00

It might make me a bit paranoid yes Zyla. How is everyone finding time to shag? I honestly have no idea where I'd fit it in (make your own jokes up).

Pisghetti · 21/04/2015 13:46

Fit it in snigger

MrP isn't back in work yet so we have loads of time on our hands technically. However it seems we actually have about half an hour in the mornings when there isn't a baby attached to my boob, DS is in school and neither of us is elbow deep in shit/cleaning up said shit. That's our jiggy time.

Feel better soon Ness x

Happy half birthdays S and Wil!

She is super sleepy. Did a 5hr stretch last night (I was awake for a lot of this thanks to v sore and full boobs leaking over me) and has pretty much slept all day. She just had a good guzzle, threw up all over us, filled her nappy and is asleep again.
