We've no time for JSing. We're battling green nappies, sleepless nights, x-box playing men and trying to hide our sling addictions. Fuck it, let's do a runner on a golf cart.

A lovely thread for all the JS Grad Grads to chat feeding, sleep and post-birth STUFF.

Roll call please ladies and perhaps add the number of slings and buggies you have acquired at the time of posting... wink

Hahaha I'll take one next time she gets near! Tortoise lives in the garden in summer with access to a greenhouse with heat lamps & uv lighting. She was my aunty's but I inherited her when she died, we think she's about 50ish so will hopefully out live me.

JuniDD · 27/05/2015 20:20

Poor chat and family. Is there anything we can do...Not sure what...Just so very sad.

Would love to see a picture of Dasha (great name!) and miniscoob.

Sleep appears to have returned here and MrJ is on a week off so I'm finding him tolerable again instead of fantasising about stabbing him in his sleep. Also, the baby seems to prefer him. GRRRR!!

WilHarlot · 27/05/2015 21:48

Get used to that Juni. MiniWil massively prefers her Dad.

There is a just giving page which Dulcet set up to donate to SANDS if you'd like. The link is on the grads thread.

J is now on tooth no.6 Blush Slightly ridiculous for 6.5months!! My poor nipples Confused I don't think he's nibbling deliberately, but he keeps catching them!
He's also just gone pro at rolling over, but can't easily get back, so cue bedtime involving mostly rolling over, dummy falling out, crying, get turned back over, repeat ad infinitum Hmm
I LOVE tortoises, I demand a photo! I love the way they eat lettuce Envy

WilHarlot · 28/05/2015 09:13

We are tortoise obsessed!

Minion · 28/05/2015 17:29

That tortoise is mega! I'd love one. They totally move at my pace of life!

ness, 6 teeth at 6.5 months?
Wowzers! We have the nice dribble rash and the constant gnashing at anything which comes within a square mile of her mouth, but no pegs yet.
Also she has decided she no longer wants a bottle in the early morning, woohoo... However, that dummy still falls out, but, small steps.
She has managed to sleep through once or twice though, so there's hope.

Just been to get her weighed, she's put on a pound in two weeks! Not bad considering she went off her milk again. She's deffo one for real food.

WilHarlot · 28/05/2015 18:37

Tortoise is awesome.

This one has had bugger all to eat today. Keeps moaning she's hungry but then faffing at the tit. Going to be a looooong night.

ZylaB · 28/05/2015 18:39

I'm scared of the thought of teeth!

H is a chunky chubs ter! 11lb 9oz today (which is actually following the 25th percentile when corrected back 4 weeks so she's still little for her age but fine when corrected - just seems huge to me, more than twice her smallest weight!)

LaLaLaaaa · 28/05/2015 19:40

Sorry can't resist - I've got plenty of rescue tortoises if anyone wants one!!!!

WilHarlot · 28/05/2015 20:24

Ship one up to Scotland La! Wink

God Micro is only a couple of ounces more than that zyla. I think my baby may be shrinking Grin .

FurryScoob · 28/05/2015 21:29

oooo la how many have you got? I'm not allowed another one Sad

Yay for the weight gaining babies

Could of saved money on toys, Miniscoobs spent an hour this afternoon chasing her own shadow across the floor. Grin

Minion · 28/05/2015 21:44

Ooh ship one to Cheshire la! I'd tie a balloon to it and never lose it.

Haha scoob, I had MINIon in the carrier forward facing today, loves it, but was fascinated by the bush and our shadows too.

ZylaB · 29/05/2015 04:11

Nah wil, mines just been a piglet!

Lol at shadow chasing :) ;)

LaLaLaaaa · 29/05/2015 06:11

Loads! I'm responsible for the reptile rescues at work - they are all sent to expert carers then rehomed!

WilHarlot · 29/05/2015 07:22

Do people mistreat tortoises? Do they just kind of forget they're there?

Have had yet another morning vomit over me and my bed. What's up with this girl? No wonder she's the size of a pea.

LaLaLaaaa · 29/05/2015 08:08

They are one of the most mistreated animals wil :(

Wrong diet, no uv light, no heat, wrong environment, damp, dog attacks. Loads. People think they're easy to look after, just because they don't obviously show that there's something wrong.

WilHarlot · 29/05/2015 08:41

Poor things. Yeah don't really send one to Scotland, I'm useless with animals. MiniWil loves dogs but I'm so not tidy enough for one.

Nessalina · 29/05/2015 08:57

A tortoise would get totally lost in my overgrown dump of a garden Blush I would love one at some point though!

J spent most of the night in our bed and my back is killing me from contorting into a position that wouldn't wake him up Confused They do take over the bed don't they?!

WilHarlot · 29/05/2015 09:05

Hahaha yes because you're so paranoid the duvet will get within a foot of them! Micro doesn't like being in bed with me unless I'm holding her - she just wakes up. Probably my snoring... Grin

FurryScoob · 29/05/2015 10:24

Envyla I'd love your job, although I would end up sneeking some home. It must be heartbreaking seeing the state some of them come to you in.
In keeping with the Jsing theme, tortoises have amazing willy's!

I've had a star fishing baby in bed with me too, I really would get more sleep if I just climbed into her cot.
Teething grumpiness has returned, it's gonna be a long day.

Pisghetti · 29/05/2015 11:35

When we were visiting DP's family recently his Aunty mentioned their tortoise. I asked about it but they said it had died - they lit a bonfire and hadn't checked it ShockSad poor thing. DP often has bonfires but every time he shifts everything to another spot in the garden to ensure there's nothing hiding in there before he sets fire to it.

BabyPis gets re weighed next Tuesday. Really hope she's putting on weight. She feels bigger to me and has taken to early morning feeds again so fingers crossed...

minimooo · 29/05/2015 13:22

Hello viroids! Been awol for a few days, just trying to get to grips with all this baby stuff. E is doing really well and piling on the weight. Milia has calmed right down too, so we're all happy bunnies.

Shock at barbecued tortoise pis!

Tortoises rule! I'd love one (also planning to get a rescue hedgehog at some point) but we've got too much else going on at the moment. Maybe in a few months.

cookielove · 29/05/2015 13:53

Hello ladies, I cannot stop eating there is something wrong with me!

E is sleeping through the night yay! And sleeping in bed for naps too :)

Cute tortoises :)

Pisghetti · 29/05/2015 15:33

POAS Cookie Wink

ZylaB · 29/05/2015 18:11

Hehe pis
