Book that's good news! Rubbish news on the looooong nap back from London though. I hate it when that happens. I'm often counting down the minutes until bedtime Shock

Mythree hello! Skiing sounds ace. I have some coconut oil in the cupboard which I intended on cooking with but it's been sat unopened for months so I might just slather it all over myself.

I am feeling a bit better today. We are off in to leeds tomorrow so I can go looking for an outfit for my friends wedding which is next month. I am a dress size smaller too which is exciting Grin S hasn't caught my lurgy yet, so fingers crossed she won't.

Shock We have rain that was apparently forecast as sleet. I can't cope with more snow!

Swannykazoo · 24/02/2015 08:04

Stupid snow! Had a meeting yesterday in Edinburgh but train was nearly 2hrs late on way there and 40mins late on way back. I'd hoped for a naice lunch and a wee poke about the shops but only managed a Nandos (which I love but we don't have one in the sticks yet) 8 hrs on the sodding train though grr. Did stealth expressing on the train too]

TobyLerone · 24/02/2015 09:16

Grrrr. 8 hours on a train!

Naturegirl82 · 24/02/2015 11:41

puggle I hate delayed trains. I too have expressed on a train. So glamorous isn't it! Grin

Urgh O woke at 5 this morning which was annoying. Think she is a bit unsettled with her teeth but also my parents are looking after her this week which she isn't used to. Tiredness is not helping me today as feeling loads of work pressure at the minute Sad

Naturegirl82 · 24/02/2015 13:26

Wow, phoned a nursery at lunch to enquire about putting O in when she gets to 2, thinking it was far too early to be doing this and they have added her to their list!! She all ready had a few names down! Did not think I would be having to do it this early and thought I was just being super organised! So glad I did now!

Angelesque · 24/02/2015 19:43

Nature we've just moved F to another nursery due to new job/new house, and finding a place was so tough! One nursery politely but firmly informed me that most of their parents put their baby's name down at the 12 week scan...

Naturegirl82 · 24/02/2015 19:45

That's crazy angel. We are only looking at a couple of hours a day so I hadn't anticipated things needing to be done that early! At least she is down on the list now Smile

Angelesque · 24/02/2015 19:59

It's insane isn't it! Good work on getting on the list already

Naturegirl82 · 24/02/2015 20:28

I know! I only phoned because some people were mentioning waiting lists for childcare but I'd assumed as it's only for a few hours and we don't live in a city it wouldn't be a problem! How naive of me.

angel how is your new house?

FelixFelix · 24/02/2015 21:02

I didn't realise this with nurseries either until someone at play group told me about a small one which does morning sessions from 2.5yrs close to my house, but she said to call up and put her name down now as you have to get in early! It's crazy.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 24/02/2015 21:34

Henry's name has been down at ours since he was a day old. Ds1 goes there so we wanted him to as soon as he turns 2 (youngest he can be)

Very organised million!

O's sleeping isn't great at the moment. She woke during the night last night which she hasn't done for ages. Took Dh 30 mins to get her back to sleep. Not sure if it's her teeth or just her being unsettled as my parent's are staying with us.

Angelesque · 25/02/2015 16:55

Nature new house is good... We've lived in rented flats for ages, so owning our own house is very exciting! We have a GARDEN. The house needs loads doing to it though... We've already knocked through a wall Grin but need to redo the bathroom and kitchen as soon as we can afford it. And convert the under stairs into a downstairs loo. Eek

littlemissnorthernbird · 25/02/2015 21:16

Hi there everyone, a newbie here! I have to admit that I've been following this thread for a very long time...since the antenatal thread for January 2014 babies but never had the guts to write! Anyone remember littlepeapod- thats not me but thats how far I remember back?! . Decided its time I actually said Hi..you all seem a friendly bunch and I love reading what you are all up to! Little Miss Northern Bird Junior has just started to walk..shes so proud of herself! Hope you dont mind me joining your thread xxx

TobyLerone · 25/02/2015 21:56

Good grief, that is a long time! Welcome, littlemiss :)

littlemissnorthernbird · 25/02/2015 22:07

I know..I know! Sound like a stalker! You guys dont realise how sane you have kept me over the past few years!! Having first posted and then had a miscarriage, I was scared to post again! Sounds daft! But didnt want to tempt fate with my pregnancy -was easier to read and keep quiet! I now have a gorgeous January 2014 little one who is ace!

FelixFelix · 25/02/2015 23:19

Welcome littlemiss! I always like it when a long time lurker posts Grin

Angelesque · 26/02/2015 00:08

Hi littlemiss! Welcome! Excited your little 'un has just started walking. As a fellow northerner (Manc way) am desperate to know if you're near me - where are you from?

littlemissnorthernbird · 26/02/2015 05:27

Thank you. I'm a Yorkshire lass! Yep...having waited ages little miss N junior is off...in fact almost running at the excitement of her new found freedom! Her face is a picture...so proud of her new achievement! Only thing is, she now thinks its hilarious to run away from me..so napy changing is a challenge. How are all your little ones getting on?

MerryPops · 26/02/2015 07:34

Another Yorkshire lass here so welcome littlemiss! A has conjunctivitis Sad. It's not too bad but trying to get drops in his eyes is an absolute pain. Other than that all faitly quiet on the Merry front, his walking is coming on great and he is just starting to learn that building towers is almost as fun as knocking them down. Just a bit annoyed he can't go to nursery or playgroup as he loves both. Hopefully back to normal by next week, I have no idea how long conjunctivitis lasts.

Hope O slept better nature

Angel Our house has been a work in progress for 10 years but we still love it Smile

FelixFelix · 26/02/2015 08:42

I'm in Yorkshire too Grin where abouts are you both?

S still isn't interested in walking. She will pull herself up to standing but that's it. So lazy. Takes after her mother Grin

Naturegirl82 · 26/02/2015 09:46

Hi littlemiss

Ah I love hearing about all the babies starting to walk. It's so exciting when they start taking their first steps. Can't believe O has been walking for nearly 6 months now Shock

Discovered last night that O can now climb out of the bath. Luckily I was sat next to it when she did this but I had turned my head for literally a few seconds and the next thing I know she has landed on me!! She must have launched herself out of it! Definitely can't leave her anywhere unattended anymore as she likes to try and climb out of her high chair as well!

MerryPops · 26/02/2015 18:40

Felix I am in sunny Hull, so an hour ish from you. I do occasionally think we should have a Yorkshire get together!

Nature bless O the little monkey! A tries to grab things off the dresser by climbing it, and he races for the stairs now, he loves them.
