That sounds like no fun at all GSR. Sad. I hope L is back into her routine soon. Could it just be staying in a new place that is upsetting her? N has been sleeping OKish but we have to keep him busy or he is pulling at my breasts all the time. It is getting a bit trying.

FelixFelix · 10/08/2015 16:53

I fell off the thread again too!

GSR that sounds like a nightmare. I hope she starts sleeping well soon. I know how awful it is.

Hope you've had a good time away altered.

It's my birthday today (I'm a quarter of a century old!) but it's been the most boring day ever. It's been peeing it down all day and I can't be arsed to try and entertain S. DP has been at work all day. I get to choose whatever I'd like to order in for tea though which is exciting Grin

TobyLerone · 10/08/2015 17:35

Happy birthday, Felix!

Angelesque · 11/08/2015 06:52

Happy birthday for yesterday, Felix! You only being 25 makes me wistful for my youth Smile

We have booked a holiday! We're off to Lemnos next month. Trying out Mark Warner so DH and I get a couple of hours to ourselves each day. V apprehensive about the flight though - was fine when F was 11 weeks, at 19mo I am worried it's going to be a nightmare! Anyone got any tips?

GunShotResidue · 11/08/2015 09:12

Hope you had a good birthday Felix :)

L was supprisingly good when we flew to Germany. We bought some baby biscuits from the boots in the airport and distracted her with food when she got restless.

alteredimages · 11/08/2015 09:24

Happy birthday Felix! I wish I were still 25 Smile

Angel, N slept on the flights we have been on lately but for the bits he was awake biscuits and quiet singing came in handy.

BookTart · 11/08/2015 09:24

I hope L is sleeping better now gar, that sounds nightmarish.

Happy birthday for yesterday felix, you young whippersnapper!

P had her first SALT appointment yesterday. She does have a speech delay, but there's not much that can be done about it just yet. I've been given a few things to do to encourage her, and we'll go back in December. The therapist said P was delightful though, so she clearly knows nothing Wink

Angelesque · 13/08/2015 19:25

Thanks all - biscuits sound like the way to go and wine

Book I am getting a bit worried on the talking front, but DMiL is a speech therapist so might ask her what she thinks...

FelixFelix · 15/08/2015 22:00

Keep falling off the thread again. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I don't feel young!

Not much to report here. Looking forward to the end of the summer holidays as I am so bored with no play groups to go to.

Swannykazoo · 17/08/2015 12:49

Hi all - managed a week's campervan with not too many arguments and even managed to get some sun (though most of it was spent wearing shorts and a fleece or in H's case shorts and wellies)
My cargobike has arrived and it is ACE though I have realised 3 years with no biking means I am very very unfit. H liked it too thank god.
This week's milestone is "boobie please" which is a big improvement from or just "boobie"

FelixFelix · 17/08/2015 13:20

Puggle glad you had a good holiday. Is it hilly where you live? You'll get fit in no time if so. And at least he's saying please now Grin

Naturegirl82 · 17/08/2015 22:45

Just popping by to get back on the thread. Smile

Swannykazoo · 21/08/2015 14:07

My goodness me its very quiet! Has everyone been cursing the password reset?
Feeling a bit sad. Was having coffee with a friend today (which is totally unusual but the oncall work had lulled for a little bit) and H walked past with the rest of his nursery group (nursery in the hospital grounds you see)- they were out for a walk. He clocked me and burst into tears - cuddled him and walked him back to nursery with the staff and he seemed fine but he was desolate when I left him again. I could still hear him screaming half way across the car park. I'm sure he's settled fine but DH is picking him up from nursery and i have a major dose of working mother guilt.....

Angelesque · 21/08/2015 14:30

Oh Puggle that is heartbreaking - working mum guilt is rubbish, isn't it. F went through a phase a few weeks ago of balling every time I dropped him off - nursery said every time, within seconds of me leaving he was completely fine... As you say, H will be fine... It's just hard, isn't it...

FelixFelix · 23/08/2015 22:07

Oh puggle how heartbreaking! Sad

I fell off the thread again. Not much to report here. I had a very vivid dream that I was pregnant again last night!!

Naturegirl82 · 25/08/2015 20:11

puggle O is doing that as well. She gets distraught when we leave her at the moment. Sad

Swannykazoo · 26/08/2015 08:43

Thank goodness its not just me/us but its horrible isn't it?
Poor little soul also says "itchy" which is sad though his skin is about 50 times better than it was this time last year. Going to start working on the "boobies have gone to sleep" chat once this phase of teething/itchy/separation anxiety settles probably be 18 by then

FelixFelix · 05/09/2015 21:06

I think we are out of the other side of the separation anxiety. S was awful for months and would scream if I stepped more than a metre away from her, but the past couple of weeks she has been so much better. We have been on holiday this week and she has held hands/been picked up by our family with no problems when before she wouldn't even go near people without freaking out. Also saying hello and waving to people we pass in the street which is cute. The difference in her is amazing. Hopefully it will pass soon for everyone else.

She's also been walking everywhere on holiday and we hardly used the pram or backpack thing. I'm impressed as she's only been walking for a month!

MerryPops · 07/09/2015 22:19

That's great news Felix! We still have a bit of clingy pants here, but he is normally ok after 15 mins or so with other people. If he's in the right mood of course! Good work S on the walking, I'm sure it is a relief to you (and your back).

Puggle what do you use for the eczema? A suffers with it a little, not as bad as H from the sounds of it. The stuff the gp prescribed had no affect but Aveeno cream has helped quite a bit. I'm sure you will have already tried it though, poor thing.

A has really got into his stride with the screaming tantrums, it is so much fun Confused. Fortunately distraction is working quite well but it is testing dh's patience!

I had an epic parenting fail tonight. Dh rang me as I was on my way home and asked me to pick up some eggs. Eggs purchased, I got home and burst in through the front door singing in my best Postman Pat sing song voice, "Special delivery service, mummy's on her way...". My singing scared A so much he ran the other way straight into the toilet door, cutting his lip. Oops! Best leave the songs to Cbeebies Blush

Swannykazoo · 09/09/2015 08:27

Cheers - Aveeno has been brilliant. Need to pluck up courage to ask GP to prescribe it as I've had him on a fair range of prescription emollients but Aveeno definitely seems the best.
The clinginess is mainly better but my bro + sil + older toddler were staying at the weekend and it was definitely all a bit too loud and cheering-y for H.
And he LOVES the cargobike. I live in a very flat bit of town (and planning to avoid the hills until a bit fitter) but just nipping out on the bike to the playpark for half an hour is great - before I'd have thought- bit far to walk, can't be arsed driving and the afternoon would draaaaag.

alteredimages · 19/09/2015 11:10

It's been very quiet around here!

Hope everyone is well and settling back into post summer routines.

We are back in Egypt. DD has been back at school for a couple of weeks and N has finally started nursery. It is great to have some time alone but I seem to be perpetually doing pick ups or drop offs and never have enough time in between.

Trying to put N down for a nap but he is lying down doing fake snoring and then giggling like mad.

BookTart · 19/09/2015 19:17

Hi altered!

Not much going on here. I've just had three hideous, whiny days with P and didn't cope with it well. She seems to be much happier today though, and I'm hoping it isn't just because DH is home as he is away with work for a week next month.

Still no new words here (just NO! and Dad) and it is starting to cause the odd tantrum now. Otherwise she is generally quite lovely. Generally.

Hope everyone else is well :)

GunShotResidue · 19/09/2015 21:16

Fell off the thread as I kept forgetting to reset my password.

Still exhausted, L is waking every 2 hours or so. Often a lot less! I feel a bit crazy trying for another baby, but can't turn back now as I got a bfp this morning. Feels a bit unreal, haven't let myself believe it yet.

Hope everyone is doing well and has had a good summer!

alteredimages · 19/09/2015 21:50

Congratulations GSR! Flowers I know the feeling about doubting your decision once it is too late, but it worked out wonderfully for us, even if I did sob to the midwife during labour that I didn't want a baby. Blush

N did a waking every two hour thing about a month ago but is back to normal sleeping now, with an occasional 4.30am wake up. I think it might be a normal age for sleep disruption, as he has started saying a few words now.

book N is not much of a talker either. So far we have "go", " me", "no" and "shoes". He said his name once but hasn't bothered since and will happily oink for peppa pig, but that is about it. No Arabic yet, much to the consternation of some. Grin

Rugby world cup has started but TV is being monopolised by kids and DH doesn't like rugby. Only seen the opening match so far. Hoping I can watch the today's matches tomorrow.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Sunday is not a weekend here, back to school and nursery tomorrow. Sad

Swannykazoo · 21/09/2015 12:55

Congrats GSR - would love it to be me too but still no period...
My sprog has become insanely keen for Peppa and or Bob the builder - as in waking up and asking for them at night, screaming MORE MORE as the titles come up etc. Sigh.
Still night waking, but is now insisting in sleeping in bed for naps which is all new and just suddenly happened so maybe he'll just suddenly start sleeping through
SIL's sis had her 2nd over the weekend - 1 hr labour and catching her own baby in her ensuite. Don't have all the details but am Shock
