Altered that's really kind, thank you, but I already have a few dungaree patterns to try. Not sure how well it will go but I'll let you know Grin hope the day went well for your DH.

Book how is she today? Did she sleep any better last night?

I was talking to someone at playgroup today whose son is 2 weeks older than S, and she's also due to give birth to twins any day now ShockShockShock

BookTart · 22/05/2015 20:14

felix one of my NCT group is due with her second this week, but hats off to the lady with twins on the way. My mum had a baby 13 months before me, then twins 10 months after me (so 4 in 2 years). I think she deserves sectioning some sort of medal!

P was okay last night, and went down okay tonight, so it looks like it might just have been over tiredness . She is so cute at the moment, but the tantrums are EPIC. We went to the beach today and it was the first time DH had experienced her lunch time tantrum in all its glory. He was a bit surprised and stressed Grin

FelixFelix · 22/05/2015 21:51

Book that is amazing!! How on earth did she manage it?! Shock

We have the super cute/devil child combo too. She's so funny but when she's mardy she's REALLY mardy.

Naturegirl82 · 22/05/2015 22:19

My mum has witnessed O's strops this week! She has put on some epic displays at bed time! Shock

I think we are entering the next wonder weeks leap. O has become mega clingy past few days. Think she is teething again which isn't helping and things have been a bit different this week because my parents have been looking after O.

Good that your Dh has witnessed it for himself now book. At least he understands what you deal with everyday now.

TobyLerone · 22/05/2015 22:23

M is also doing the mardy/cute thing. She's been brilliant today. She thinks she can jump, which involves her standing up and bouncing up and down really fast. It's hilarious.

Glad you had a better night, book. Jealous of your trip to the beach. I want to go but the weather is always crap when we're both available for a day out.

BookTart · 22/05/2015 22:25

He has no idea nature. It is only this evening that I realised he's never looked after her on his own for more than an hour or two (and they have never left the house alone together). I'm off to a gig in London in a few weeks, so he'll need to have her all afternoon and put her to bed too. He's agreed to take her for a walk this weekend to see how they get on. He has NO IDEA. I'm looking forward to it Grin

She didn't cope felix, which is a whole other thread. Fair enough though!

BookTart · 22/05/2015 22:26

Cross post toby. We can always go to the beach, but there is sand...

alteredimages · 22/05/2015 22:35

Argh, twins! Props to your baby group friend Felix.

Proper tantrums have started today. Usually over food but also because I wouldn't let him throw MIL's phone off the balcony and because he didn't want the book to be finished at bedtime.

He is still awake now and that was two hours ago.

I have just had the fright of my life. I am alone in the flat with the kids and DD was asleep on her bed. Came in to put N down and found the bathroom light on but no sign of DD anywhere. Not in the kitchen, sitting room, anywhere. Was just about to call the security guard in case she had tried to leave the building when I found her under the folded covers at the foot of my bed lying width ways so you couldn't see her.

Heart rate slowly returning to normal.

TobyLerone · 22/05/2015 23:14

SAND :o
Beach sand is less gross than sandpit sand.

OMG, altered. That must have been terrifying. Wine for you.

Naturegirl82 · 23/05/2015 07:06

altered I bet your heart stopped!

O likes to eat the sand on the beach when we go which is quite a regular occurrence Sad

FelixFelix · 23/05/2015 08:07

I hate sand. It goes through me so much. It's making me feel weird just thinking about it. S just got a sand and water table from her Nanna and I don't want to set it up Grin

Toby jumping sounds so funny Grin

Altered how scary!! I'm glad she was just hidden.

TobyLerone · 23/05/2015 09:58

Same, felix. Although I will tolerate it at the beach.

Naturegirl82 · 23/05/2015 13:53

We are actually thinking about getting O a sand table for the garden for the summer. We have a swing set and slide set up for her all ready but want to have loads for her to do so that it will be easier with the baby.

O was meant to have her first haircut today and more importantly mine was meant to be done as well but the hairdresser is ill so cancelled Sad

FelixFelix · 23/05/2015 14:55

Nature we have one from ELC which has a lid and has great reviews. It's the one which is around £50 on the website. Also got a swing and a slide. Looking forward to good weather but it's always freezing here!

BookTart · 23/05/2015 19:34

P has a sand pit. She has worked out how to take the lid off, so is now regularly found sitting in it, fully clothed. My house is full of small piles of sand. Sorry toby and felix!

She's just bashed herself again. She managed to fall over and hit her eye/face on the stand for the big garden umbrella. She has a huge black eye now :( I'm not sure I can take the stress of toddlerhood!

TobyLerone · 23/05/2015 20:48

Oh, poor thing :(

BookTart · 24/05/2015 09:20

It isn't looking so bad today, which is good because combined with the big bruise in the middle of her enormous forehead she was starting to look a bit alarming.

Any nice plans for today? I am going to the supermarket. You're all jealous, aren't you? Grin

FelixFelix · 24/05/2015 17:34

I set up the sand/water pit yesterday and she poured most of the water down her front and transferred most of the sand to the water side. It was a stressful experience Grin

I've spent all afternoon sewing some bad-ass patches on to Sylvie's denim jacket. She just walked a few steps with me holding on to her hands!! Not that exciting for most but she's never done it before so I'm happy. One tiny step towards actually walking.

TobyLerone · 24/05/2015 22:33

Yay, S!

We went all over the place running errands today, but nowhere exciting.

Angelesque · 24/05/2015 23:29

Just been doing family stuff this weekend while F has been TAKING HIS FIRST STEPS. Yep, he's just about walking... I say just about as we have to basically force him... He will do about four steps before reverting to crawling...

Catching up on some TV shows over the long weekend (DH more amenable to giving me a lie in till 7 if he isn't working)... Watching The Affair at the mo. Anyone else?

Angelesque · 24/05/2015 23:30

Loving the lack of love for sand here. My step-MIL thought I was mad when I said yesterday that I didn't think the beach was a good idea for F at the mo as he'd just eat the sand...

TobyLerone · 25/05/2015 05:52

That's what M does, angel. She can walk across the room if she wants to, but generally does a few steps and then crawls. It's a bit frustrating. But yay for F!

Naturegirl82 · 25/05/2015 09:18

Yay for the walking babies Smile

Sand doesn't bother me too much. We took O down the beach on Saturday and she loved it and suprisingly didn't eat the sand for once! We bought her a sand and water table yesterday. Will set it up today if the weather brightens up.

Also finally bought O her new car seat yesterday so going to fit that today. Such flipping expensive things though! Shock But at least now I can clean up the maxi cosi for the new baby!

Any exciting bank holiday plans? We have the three Queens cruise ships visiting so may pop down to watch some of that. Not driving anywhere today though as the roads are going to be a nightmare I think.

FelixFelix · 25/05/2015 09:57

Angel YAY! I keep trying to get S to walk holding on to her hands again and she won't do it now Grin

We have no plans today. We've had the same conversation about 5 times - 'what do you want to do today?' 'I don't know, what do you want to do?' Hmm

TobyLerone · 25/05/2015 18:31

We ended up going to the beach with my aunt and uncle who are over from America. I fell spectacularly off the low carbing wagon by having fish and (a few) chips and an ice cream. It was a lovely day.
