Toby glad it arrived ok and you like it! Yes I'd love a picture once she's wearing it Smile I've had 4 custom orders over the past 2 days Grin

Altered glad you're feeling ok. Your summer trip sounds great, I'm not surprised you're looking forward to it!

I am at my parents for the weekend as DP has gone to the lakes camping for the 'mens weekend' with his dad's church Hmm S woke up twice, then again at 3 and freaked out because I was in the same room as her so I had to put her in bed with me. It took her until 5 to get back to sleep and then she was up at 7. She's so horribly grumpy this morning and keeps crying at EVERYTHING. Had to wrestle her in to a clean nappy earlier! I think I'm in for a long weekend.

alteredimages · 15/05/2015 09:31

Poor you Felix. Can your parents take S for a while mid morning so you can have a rest? Or take her to the park or something?

I had another wheezy spell this morning. I knew I would because I went to visit family last night which means bad traffic fumes, lugging N about, perfume and lots of pollen. So last night wasn't great and now it's the weekend. I think my doctor works on Saturday evenings though so will try and go then.

Yes, I am v excited about the UK, but I know I won't want to leave at the end of it! I can't tell DD until the night before otherwise she just asks every five minutes if she can go on the plane to see her Tadcu now, and if the answer is no tells me her detailed plans for how she will run away and go by herself. When she was 2 this involved jumping onto the planes that fly overhead from the balcony Confused though thankfully she now accepts that a taxi to the airport is a better plan.

FelixFelix · 15/05/2015 10:45

She won't stay with anyone except me. I left her with my mum for 10 minutes when I went to get a shower earlier and she screamed the whole time and was banging on the door trying to get up the stairs to me Hmm I don't want to subject my Mum to that for any longer than a few minutes. Never mind eh!

Hope you can get to the doctors this weekend. I love the things your dd says, she sounds so funny Grin

BookTart · 15/05/2015 15:55

felix is it this last wonder week do you think? P started hers a couple of days ago and has been nightmarishly clingy since. I had to carry her around Tesco today for the first time in months, and putting her down for her nap involves lots of clawing at my face and weeping. I am tired already, and it goes on for 6 weeks!

altered your trip sounds exciting. We should have a meet while you are here!

The nap nightmare continues. She didn't have a morning nap, but fell asleep on the way back from tumble time. Brilliant, I thought, the much awaited two hour lunchtime nap. 30 minutes. Sob. I have put her in her cot now, otherwise she'll wake up all night again. Just make up your mind child, one nap or two!

FelixFelix · 15/05/2015 22:59

Ah wonder weeks! I forgot about that. Just checked the app and it says '1 day until the next leap' so it may well be the reason. It seems like wonder life here, never mind weeks Grin

Eughh I hate it when you're looking forward to a long nap and they wake up after half an hour. You have my sympathy!

I've been battling with my sewing machine tonight. Making my first order and everything seems to be going wrong even though all previous identical items I've made have been perfect!!! Angry

Swannykazoo · 16/05/2015 15:58

Dude I HATE wonder weeks! I have thrown DH and H out of the house so I could pack for our holiday tomorrow. Its been tipping with rain so I feel a bit guilty now.
Similar here Felix - I cannot move without H following me at home and he will not stay with DH. He goes to nursery fine though so I really don't understand (though I think if I was DH I'd be a bit upset and possibly up my game a bit)

FelixFelix · 17/05/2015 08:36

Puggle that's weird about the nursery thing! We went shopping yesterday and even if I walked two steps away from the pram she wailed like an banshee. Where are you going on holiday?

alteredimages · 17/05/2015 16:07

That sounds really hard Felix. I hope S gets used to your parents and gives you a break before you leave. Flowers

Have a great holiday puggle!

Flights are booked, I am so excited!

BookTart · 17/05/2015 19:32

Have a lovely holiday puggle.

P is being pretty clingy too. Her latest trick is demanding to be picked up only when I'm in the middle of cooking something. She clearly knows she's being a bit unreasonable as well, which makes it even harder to resist.

Tough afternoon here. P had some fruit salad with lunch, and has had a reaction to something in it - probably kiwi, although there was pineapple as well. She refused her dinner, her acid reflux started again, and then she had a hideous nappy. Poor thing was screaming and clawing at it to get it off, and her little bottom was raw :( She's gone to bed a bit early because she was so tired after all that. I feel terrible that I gave it to her, but there was no way of knowing she'd react like that. At least they are easier to avoid than the milk!

alteredimages · 17/05/2015 19:55

Oh no book . Poor P. Sad. I feel really sad for her, poor thing.

Kiwi is evil. So many people are allergic to it. We were at a birthday party on Friday night and N was going round all the guests begging for cake. I was paranoid he would eat kiwi and have a reaction.

I am totally up for a meet when I am over, I forgot to say.

TobyLerone · 17/05/2015 20:09

Oh, poor P :(

FelixFelix · 18/05/2015 08:25

Oh bless her that sounds horrible! I didn't realise kiwi was bad for so many people.

I am so horrendously tired. DP is coming to collect us after work this evening and I can't wait to get home now (even though it's been nice to see my parents!). Counting down the hours until nap time already Shock

Naturegirl82 · 18/05/2015 08:34

Wow I've been reading the thread but hadn't realised how long I hadn't posted for until it dropped off my list Blush

Just plodding along here. O is in good spirits at the moment but still about a week before we hit the next wonder week so not holding out that it will last.

Work on the house starts in two weeks so gearing up for that. Luckily it is as our oven broke yesterday! it must have had a sixth sense or something. So going to have to be creative with all cooking done on the hob for the next few weeks!

alteredimages · 18/05/2015 11:07

Hope you are home soon and enjoying your nap Felix. You definitely deserve it!

Hi nature, good luck with the work on the house and hope it goes quickly and smoothly.

I lived for two weeks cooking only with a microwave and a slow cooker and it wasn't that bad, don't worry.

How is the weather where you all are just now? Things are getting hot here and I have been using the a/c the past two days. Counting down the two months til I can have a slice of British summer! I even hope it rains. Smile

FelixFelix · 18/05/2015 11:20

Good luck with the house nature! My Aunty only cooks with a slow cooker and microwave (she has an oven but doesn't use it, which is odd) and she always makes amazing food.

Altered its freezing and pissing it down here Grin

alteredimages · 18/05/2015 11:26

Hooray! I am on my way! Grin

I am probably the worst suited person in the world to hot climates. So fate played a pretty good joke when it sent me here!

I am obviously in a big hurry to finish the thread. Only 70 more quintuple posts to go!

GunShotResidue · 18/05/2015 11:51

Had a quick catch up, studying hard (or attempting to but getting distracted!)

My lovely Auntie told me lots of people are allergic to kiwi, so I shouldn't give it to L until she's 8 years old!

TobyLerone · 18/05/2015 14:06

Cold and raining here too. Bored to death.

alteredimages · 18/05/2015 17:28

I would gladly swap Toby. Just for a week or two.

Hope your studying is going well GunShot. Good luck with your finals!

I am bored stiff today too. DH says I need to make FIL feel more welcome, that he can pop by whenever but he likes to pop round in the evenings and I am wrestling DD and N into a bedtime routine which I know would go tits up if he started rocking up at 9pm every night. I feel a bit bad because I know FIL is lonely and bored and we are living in his flat, but I also can't afford to let DD's sleep get messed up again by their late nights because it was making her miserable at school. Am I being a meanie?
