It's ok. No need to hate me, GSR. M is up 3 times usually.

GunShotResidue · 29/03/2015 17:59

I'll let you off then Toby

To be honest I'm glad some babies are sleeping better, it gives me a tiny bit of hope. Not so much with L, who's never going to sleep, but if I thought all babies slept this bad I wouldn't have any more!

FelixFelix · 29/03/2015 19:21

We have officially declared next weekend 'sleep training weekend.' DP will be off for 4 days so can help as I'm struggling to pluck up the courage to do it on my own again. Even though it was only just before Christmas when we did it before, I know it will be harder this time as she's so bloody stubborn nowadays!! Will be trying gradual retreat again I think.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Naturegirl82 · 29/03/2015 20:30

I think I'd rather the early waking than night wakings. Generally O sleeps 7-5/6. Occasionally wakes at 4 but maybe only once or twice a month. I get up at 6 for work anyway so I suppose it's not too bad. Killer at the weekend though!

Suppose I should start getting used to lack of sleep again! Only 15 weeks to go till this LO arrives!

TobyLerone · 29/03/2015 22:55

M's gone back to the biting when I'm feeding her too. This is a problem. This afternoon DH had to rescue me from her while I was actually screaming. Her teeth were basically meeting and I've no idea how she didn't draw blood. I know she'll stop soon, but not soon enough.

GunShotResidue · 29/03/2015 23:18

That's not long nature! Are you all prepared? We're starting TTC in June.

Ouch Toby that sounds so painful! DD has only ever nipped, and that's bad enough! Hope she stops again soon.

Naturegirl82 · 30/03/2015 08:56

Ouch toby that does not sound pleasant! I definitely don't miss the nipple biting.

MrsG we haven't got anything ready at all Shock We don't need much, just the buggy board (which I should order as apparently it has an 8 week wait!) and a new mattress really. Need to get O a new car seat so the baby can have the maxi cosi but that's about it really. I don't want to get clothes or crib out until nearer the time. Being much more lax about it all this time round. I'll probably leave most of the sorting until mat leave!

O did not have a good night last night. I think she is reacting to her mmr as she was so upset and unhappy last night and this morning. Finally got her to sleep at 12.30 and she woke at 5.30! Yawn!

Naturegirl82 · 30/03/2015 08:57

Oops by mrsG I clearly meant GunShotResidue! Smile

FelixFelix · 30/03/2015 08:58

Toby that sounds awful Shock Hope it doesn't last long.

Nature 15 weeks! It's going by so quickly.

Easter holidays for the next 2 weeks so none of my usual play groups are running. I have literally no idea what I'm going to do with S every day. We usually go to play group every morning apart from on a Tuesday. Any ideas of activities to do with her very much appreciated!

GunShotResidue · 30/03/2015 12:47

Have you looked on pinterest Felix? I've seen my cousin pin a lot of '100 toddler activities for rainy days' type things? At the moment Ls main activity is independent play whilst I study Blush she's happy to play by herself and just bring me the odd toy to look at but I feel so guilty. Just over 2 months until my degree is over though.

Sounds like your quite organised nature even if you haven't bought anything yet. I've started looking at what we'll need, I love planning! I'd like to start trying now but DH is away in December and February so we're aiming for March onwards.

Naturegirl82 · 30/03/2015 12:58

gunshot not organised at all, probably just in denial! haha!

FelixFelix · 30/03/2015 13:22

GSR that's a good point - I pinned loads of ideas ages ago and forgot about it. Thanks!

Naturegirl82 · 30/03/2015 16:10

Did anyone have ewan the dream sheep with their LO? Wondering if it might be worth buying one instead of just using phone app this time. see I definitely have my priorities in order

O had a 3 hour nap today! Shock Hoping it will mean she isn't overtired for bed tonight and will sleep well. Think my MIL loved the peace!

O also has a proper shiner at the moment. Dh said she deliberately headbutted the bed weirdo On Friday and it's now come up in a proper bruise and is swollen. Doesn't seem to be bothering her though. Hope it goes down as we are at her godmothers wedding on Sunday so was hoping for some nice pics! I'm going to look like a whale however. I'm a bridesmaid and all the other bms are tall and skinny and I am most definitely not right now!

FelixFelix · 30/03/2015 16:47

Nature we didn't have it but I've heard very good things about it. May be worth posting a thread for opinions?

S head butts things all the time. I am constantly saying 'DONT HEAD BUTT THE FLOOR' etc. It's very tiring Grin

TobyLerone · 30/03/2015 16:54

We have a white noise machine. We use it every night.

Angelesque · 30/03/2015 20:47

Nature we had Ewan - started using it from day one in hospital (I figured the womb noise was less annoying at 2am on the ward for other mums than a screaming baby) and carried on until F was about 8/9 months. It was great - definitely helped soothe F when he was tiny - but wasn't a miracle worker. The Sleepyhead was bloody brilliant for getting F to sleep. A total lifesaver in the early months.

BookTart · 30/03/2015 21:33

We tried with Ewan nature, but had no joy. At about 6 months we started using white noise/running water sound and that works well.

Naturegirl82 · 30/03/2015 21:45

Hmm might just stick with the white noise app as I know that works then. Thanks.

TobyLerone · 30/03/2015 22:58

You can get a white noise machine from amazon for about £20. Then you can still use your phone/tablet :)

GunShotResidue · 31/03/2015 03:55

We've been using YouTube videos on the laptop, not sure if it really helps in all honesty.

She's been awake for 2 hours, finally seems to be drifting off but only if I keep my hand on her back. It sounds like a gale outside, which is making me quite anxious. Not a good night!

Swannykazoo · 31/03/2015 07:58

No response to the Dream sheep here though it made me feel v sleepy. Until it clicked off after 20 mins and I realised another 20 mins had gone past with no sleep.
Have new cream/lotion and antihistamine for little puggle for his skin. Scratching is improving but the poor little thing was like a drunk baby last night on the new antihistamine- still woke up mind but was snoring when I crept out for work leaving DH to do the dressing feeding and nursery run HOORAY (DH working from home this week so usually treats himself to a lie in while I have a hectic morning getting to nursery & work for 8)

Naturegirl82 · 31/03/2015 12:25

O slept for 13.5 hours last night Shock
Think she may have been making up for the 5.5 hours the night before. Annoying she can't sleep in like that at the weekend!

GunShotResidue · 01/04/2015 16:45

Hope everyone's had a good, prank free day!

FelixFelix · 01/04/2015 16:49

I changed DP's birthday on Facebook to today and waited for the birthday wishes to roll in. People are still posting on his wall now even though he's said I changed it. I don't think he found it as hilarious as I did Grin

GunShotResidue · 02/04/2015 13:55

That's really clever Felix Grin
I hate April Fools day, I think it's just the apprihension as me and DH play little tricks on each other all the time. Last week I asked him to get me some water whilst I went to change into pj's and came back to 8 glasses by my chair Hmm strangely whilst he was doing that I emptied his sock drawer into the bed as he hates finding socks under the duvet. Might be more trying to annoy each other actually!

Getting a tiny bit stressed, flying to Germany for a christening over easter for a long weekend then going to Devon for BILs wedding, and DHs boss has said he might cancel easter leave as there's too much work Confused plus my Amazon order, including part of the christening present, that was guaranteed delivery by 1pm is not here yet. And I have an essay due in before we get back to the UK so I'm hoping to send it off tomorrow but need to pack and tidy the house! Eek!
