I would have gladly given H away to the gypsies on Sat had they popped round and asked for a tiny bastard toddler - total cling-on misery guts with tantrums, back arching, ground-phobic etc etc. Seem to have weathered that storm a bit. Might have been teeth/itchy/sodding wonder week. No new skills that I can see except there was a personal best in sleeping - bed at 7, needed fed back to sleep at 9 and then slept to 4:45 last night. I've been telling anyone I can find that I had nearly 7 hours sleep. That has NEVER happened -infact not since 2nd trimester.

Book I think you need to start writing a memoir as your two lines about the crazy lasy craftclub have made me laugh so much. I hope you know what I mean by that - I'm not laughing at you, just the turn of phrase. Maybe you're really good at craft and everybody else was shit?

I've a week off this week and I put H in nursery on Mon. I pressure hosed, scarified the lawn, got my bike serviced and generally worked my ass off. I missed H like mad but it was a very good day. Wine

TobyLerone · 24/03/2015 21:40

It is because of your mad decoupage skillz, book.

FelixFelix · 25/03/2015 13:55

Book I like the idea that you're just so good at it they had to ask you back too Grin

Puggle hooray for good sleep and getting shit done!!

Still not got round to night weaning S again, after promising myself I'd do it after the weekend. I'm so tired and need as much sleep as I can get, and that means S guzzling milk like there's no tomorrow is the only way to do it. Had a blood test yesterday to see if there's a reason why I'm so constantly exhausted but don't think it will come back with anything Hmm

Naturegirl82 · 25/03/2015 19:30

How much milk do you all give your LO'S every day? O doesn't drink a massive amount but eats a lot of cheese and yoghurt and milk on ceral so I think she is getting the right amount of calcium.

FelixFelix · 25/03/2015 20:15

Nature that sounds like plenty, I wouldn't worry. Before S was back on the night time bottles she just had one before bed with about 5/6oz in it then cheese/yoghurt etc through the day.

BookTart · 27/03/2015 19:18

Oh god. Tonight was the first time I tried to put P to bed since before xmas. DH always does it, she makes no fuss at all, goes down awake, and sleeps through unless she's ill. All went okay until I put her in the cot. She just went straight to rigid-as-a-board screaming, and DH came in after just 5 minutes to take over. She's still screaming. It has been half an hour Sad What he doesn't realise is that this is what all her nap times have been like for a few weeks. I'm just going to watch tv and drink while he sorts it out. I wish he hadn't barged in Angry

P has decided that she doesn't bf anymore this week too. We were down to just first thing in the morning, but yesterday and today she just wasn't bothered. When can I start eating cheese again? Grin

FelixFelix · 27/03/2015 19:25

Eugh book that sounds awful! DP always puts S to bed too and I don't dare try it myself in fear of the same thing happening.

BookTart · 27/03/2015 19:40

I was totally happy with him doing it every night, but he realised that it means he can't ever go out after work. I've now scared myself by reading sleep forums, and am worried she'll be waking up all night again. Her terrible sleep was the trigger for my PND, and I still panic about it now, even though she's generally a good sleeper at night. Daytime, not so much Wink

FelixFelix · 27/03/2015 19:47

I hope she will be fine. If she's a good sleeper generally then that's a good start!

I joined the WI yesterday in a bid to try and make some friends and have non-baby conversation because I'm generally quite lonely. I almost chickened out of going but DP talked me round and I'm so glad I went. It was great and everyone was really friendly Smile

TobyLerone · 27/03/2015 20:37

I'd love to join the WI, felix. I just don't have time. Perhaps in a few years. Glad you had a lovely time. Was there anyone else close to your age?

Is she asleep yet, book?

FelixFelix · 27/03/2015 20:40

I think I was the youngest but there seems to be a lot of early/mid thirties ladies there, so not much older. I sat with a very lovely lady who has just moved here and she was totally someone I'd like to be friends with Grin

Naturegirl82 · 27/03/2015 20:50

Felix glad you liked the WI. I've a few friends that have joined recently and they really seem to enjoy it.

book hope P sleeps ok for you.

I think O had a bit of a temperature when she went to bed. She was knackered so went down early but think this might be a side effect from her mmr yesterday.

GunShotResidue · 28/03/2015 08:31

Hope last night was ok book

I think I'd enjoy the WI, im chronically shy (part of my anxiety is I assume everyone hates me) but I might look at joining one when we move at the end of this year. Assuming we don't go to Cyprus.

Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend! I need to catch up on studying, but will hopefully get to do some gardening.

TobyLerone · 28/03/2015 10:39

We're off out to John Lewis in a minute to purchase a tablet. Oh, the excitement.

BookTart · 28/03/2015 15:23

I think it was probably about an hour start to finish last night, but she slept until 6.15 this morning which was good. After a chat with DH we've wimped out decided that it isn't worth the hassle for the few occasions that he goes out. At most it will be once a fortnight, and she can scream on me for a bit and I'll put her into the cot once she's asleep.

Cyprus GSR? Exciting!

There is a branch of the WI that meets in the church hall around the corner from me, but I suspect that here it is definitely full of biddies. Also, I can't make cake or jam. Do you think homemade wine would be an acceptable substitute? Wink

TobyLerone · 28/03/2015 15:32

I can make cake and jam. You bring the wine, and we'll start our own WI.

BookTart · 28/03/2015 16:06

The drunken, cake-smeared knitting would be excellent!

Which tablet did you get? Will the TBs be Face Timing each other soon?

TobyLerone · 28/03/2015 16:36

We got a Galaxy Tab S. Was between that and iPad Air 2, but the Galaxy one is better. M already has her own profile set up on it.

GunShotResidue · 28/03/2015 16:56

I'd like to see the results of drunk knitting! I have to concentrate or I pick up stitches.

I think it's unlikely we'll go to Cyprus, but DH put it as his third choice posting just incase there's a spot going. Nervous and excited about the prospect!

FelixFelix · 28/03/2015 19:22

Book the one I went to just seems like an excuse for everyone to sit around and drink wine. You'd be very welcome Grin

Clocks go forward tonight and we have got to leave the house at 6.30am to drive out to where DP's cycling race is. S will NOT be impressed as she usually wakes up at about 7.45 Shock

Naturegirl82 · 29/03/2015 11:17

felix 7.45!!!! How on earth do you get her to sleep till then? O only seems to need 11 hours sleep a night although will frequently wake after 10!

BookTart · 29/03/2015 11:22

We normally only get 11 hours here as well (I know, my diamond shoes are too tight!) Oddly though, today she slept in. Presumably she'll be up until late tonight though, so I didn't really think it through. I'm hoping that the clocks changing will help with the move to one nap somehow too.

Naturegirl82 · 29/03/2015 11:46

Apparently O woke up at 5 (4 old time) and Dh wasn't able to get her back to sleep as he thinks she wasn't feeling well (I've had a glorious night away Smile ) so who knows what the clock change is going to do for us tonight!!

FelixFelix · 29/03/2015 12:50

I don't know, she just started sleeping in late randomly after being an early waker for so long. Although she's still up 4/5 times a night which probably plays a part in it.

GunShotResidue · 29/03/2015 14:49

I hate you all a tiny bit Wink
L is fairly good at going down at 7-8ish, but wakes 3 times before midnight, then 2+ times after, and 5am tends to be morning!
