I've just managed to wake DS up like the tit I am. I read the clock wrong and thought he'd been awake and trying to settle himself for an hour when it was actually about 5 mins. He wasn't upset or anything I just panicked he wouldn't get enough sleep, tried to stick his dummy in and woke him properly. He's on my boob now like "well don't mind if I do".

Had a good day yesterday though, we went for a walk and had coffee and DH and I really connected again for a bit I felt! Then A did a 2 hour nap in the crib and was quite pleasant till 8 when he went to sleep.

On periods, I had one and now the second one is a week late. I'm pretty sure they're just erratic but I'm going to buy a test tomorrow just in case. Would not be amused!

Twistedheartache · 18/02/2015 07:22

Morning all
Pleased the swimming pool got resolved promptly. #burningissues

Poor you splendide so easily done. Hope he settled again & has a lie in

We seem to havecsuffered the curse of writing things that are working down & turning 16 weeks. Never seen madam as grizzly and sad as yesterday & she had a very restless night even though we were still lucky & she still only woke/fed once.

BCG today:( Roll on next week & jabs being over for a few months.

Have a good day

sazzlehopes · 18/02/2015 07:33

Massive lol at the all night buffet!
Well I tried to keep him with us and cluster feed but he was so Sparko he went to sleep at 8 and didn't wake til 11... So I might try cluster feeding earlier through the afternoon/early eve. Oh well the sun is shinning and I have all the tea!

sazzlehopes · 18/02/2015 07:36

And sleepy I inow what you mean about not having the energy to try anything else... After 2am I just whip out the boob, plus I'm always worried he'll wake ds1...
No period here yet but no chance I'd be pregnant Grin

splendide · 18/02/2015 08:04

It's very unlikely I'm pregnant but it's I suppose possible. I think it's far more likely that breastfeeding is making my periods irregular. Oh god I'd be devastated. I'm going to buy a test today so I can rule it out and relax.

Grannyapple · 18/02/2015 08:18

Hey lovely October ladies!

Can't remember if I've posted on this new thread or not so a big hello from me & welcome to the newbies/de lurkers .

Haven't read all but guessing everyone is suffering the same with night wakings still?! I shouldn't be surprised Adam is still waking as Nate started sleeping through at 17 wks & Amelia was even later...was hoping for a better sleeper this fine, but hey ho!

We're hopefully shuffling rooms around next few weeks to accommodate bunk beds for the older two (in between the numerous 4yr old birthday parties nate is attending over the next 3 weeks...including 2 on the same day!). I'm hoping once Adam is in his new room he'll sleep better as we'll all be interrupting each other less!

Pleased to hear outdoor pool issues now resolved #firstworldproblemsGrin

Grannyapple · 18/02/2015 08:21

Ooh splendide keep us posted on the pg test situation...there was chat about this on the fb page...but we've only managed to dtd twice since Adam...just too bloody knackered.

Tho I'm sure we'd done a good handful of times more when Amelia was born...I think Adam was conceived when she was 21 wks....wtf were we thinking?!Hmm

FATEdestiny · 18/02/2015 10:08

We are currently room shuffling too Granny. We are decorating DD10's room now. DS5's room is already decorated and will this week get bunkbeds so that DC9 can move in with his brother.

We are then just left with needing to decorate DC9's room for DD5months. No massive rush on that though, none of the others have left our room until 9-12 months old.

Slpendide - I've had two menstrual cycles that have been massively longer than my usual regular cycles. I assume it is due to mix feeding and hormones still settling.

splendide · 18/02/2015 12:14

I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant! If I was im not sure what I'd do to be honest.

STIGZ · 18/02/2015 12:40

Oh god splendid Hmm keep us posted.

Nice to hear from you grannySmile

Dp been sent to a&e by his doctor, with suspected appendicitis Shock cant believe it! Really hope he doesn't have to get them out as that will mean he cant make any money as he is a taxi driver, we are bloody struggling as it isShock he's had stomach pains for 3 days which he though was a dodgy curry but obviously not? He still hasnt been seen by a doctor in a & e, been up there since 10:00am, im worried sick Sad

splendide · 18/02/2015 14:22

Oh Stigz that's shit! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it isn't appendicitus.

I'm not pregnant, phew! I thought I wasn't but figured why not do a cheapy test and put my mind at ease.

STIGZ · 18/02/2015 15:13

Glad you are ok splendid its always worrying when you have that feeling of what if im pregnant!!

He's getting kept inSad think the appendix have to come out, oh god i could cry !!

sazzlehopes · 18/02/2015 16:34

Oh no stigz that's so crap. I hope you know more later on.
Granny lovely to hear from you. I couldn't imagine getting pregnant in the next few weeks which would be the same as you getting pregnant with your dd being 21 weeks. It hurts my brain to even contemplate it. I think if I had a half decent sleeper then maybe,.... But at the minute NO WAY. In fact I'm so scared that im not letting DH anywhere near me!
Fate it took me a while to realise you weren't talking about 10
Children and they were the ages instead Grin

sazzlehopes · 18/02/2015 16:35

splendide I spent 14 months and loads of money on preggo tests hoping they would show positive, I can't imagine peeing on one now being desperate for the other result!!!

fedupofrainydays · 18/02/2015 19:36

Hi ladies - hope everyone is well!
splendide phewf!!! I could seriously panic with a bfp right now! Bizarre as I too was desperate For one for 14 months but now the thought frightens me!!

Having fun with sleep regression here combined with a 3 year old who does pretty much the exact opposite of what I ask him to do. Pretty frazzled by it all today!

fedupofrainydays · 18/02/2015 19:38

Stigz - I hope your DH is ok. That's really rubbish :(

Kirstipops · 18/02/2015 20:43

Argh Stigz!! Hope he makes a speedy recovery Sad

Heidi's sleep has been a bit disturbed the last few nights, not sure if it's down to feethinf or a growth spurt but fed her every 90 mins or so rather than the usual 2 hourly feeds so hopefully she's stocked up for a bit, she goes to bed around 7 and usually does a good 9 hours before the first wakeup but last night she was 11, 2, 4 and 7. I fed her each time and she went back to sleep easily enough at least. Hope I'm not getting a regression sequel Confused
She already has her front teeth through - could these still be causing her pain?

Kirstipops · 18/02/2015 20:44

Feethinf??

STIGZ · 18/02/2015 21:01

My poor dp is down in surgery just now, waiting on them phoning to tell everything is ok, god now i know how he felt when i was having my c/secs !! My anxiety is through the roof, my brother last week now my dp!

All this talk of pregnancy tests is making me want my "coil fitting" asapGrin its getting done a week tomorrow ! Although having two kids is super contraception, think i could count on one finger how many times we have done it since baba arrived Smile

I cant wait for dd's teeth to pop through, she is really sufferingSad your wee dd might have another few ready to sprout kirstie?

Hope it goes well Stigz
BFP = Big Fat Phew eh Splendide?

We had our belated 16wk jabs today. Poor DS was giggling away at the nurse adorably; then his face just crumpled, he looked so betrayed I cried. ?? Now sparko on my lap. Hoping we have a night like last night; he slept for almost 10hrs! I was gobsmacked, once The Fear subsided & I knew he was ok. Had normal naps too. It's strange and lovely to feel half human. Sure it was an anomaly and he'll make up for it.
My PND meds have been increased after a few meltdowns and general negative thoughts - feels like a bit of a setback but willing to try.
We had a stressful night Sunday; nipped out to a friend's birthday in a local restaurant. 5 mins away so only took one bottle, no tin of formula (he's on Neocate), if we were there long enough to need another feed DP would nip home. As it was we were almost home when he started shouting for food. And we couldn't get into our house. Yale lock broke. Had to take /screaming/ DS to nearby friends while we waited for an emergency locksmith and our dog was going nuts, set off every other dog on the street. An hour and £140 later (DS slept for a bit, wore himself out) we finally got in. GAH. Lesson learned, when on prescription milk & living in a town with no late pharmacy, /never/ leave the house without a supply ??

ohthegoats · 18/02/2015 22:21

How do we stop pip waking up 45 minutes after she goes to bed? Goes down easy at 7.30, is fed lots first, then 9 times out of 10 wakes up crying 45 minutes to an hour later. Attthat point boyfriend can settle her within 5 minutes and she stays asleep until 11. If I go to her she screams until I relent and stick a boob in fir 5 minutes - then she'll go down easily again.

Any ideas?

Kirstipops · 19/02/2015 08:04

I don't know know to stop the 45 minute waking either Goats, Heidi does the exact same. I pop her dummy in and she goes back off into an eyerolling trance but I'm wondering when she will just stay asleep!

Stigz I'm wondering about more teeth, her nappies are quite vinegary though I can't see any signs of any buds. She was up at 11, 2, 4 and 7 again though so at least she's consistent. She was a better sleeper as a newborn!

ohthegoats · 19/02/2015 11:27

We were up at 10.30, 1, 3.15 and 5 last night. Every so often we have one like that... potentially something to do with jabs, but more likely just random I think. Had to put her in my bed at 3.15 so she could do the zombie arm thing. Nice.

STIGZ · 19/02/2015 14:22

I had to get up and do a night feed last night, not done one in while but she was still unsettled after that, who knows why babies do what they do? I wish i did though Hmm i dont know how people with more than two kids cope, i am bloody run ragged, never again for me, i have reached my limit !!

Dp getting out shortly, but not to lift the baby etc .. Im so bloody exhausted, i keep getting a pain in my chest dont know if i have pulled a muscle lifting the car seat or its anxiety ? Think I'll go to the docs tomorrow if its still the same

Just been to see my cousin who has a 5 month old. The baby sleeps on its front with a big frilly pillow with a duvet, and they've weaned her on to Farley's rusks. As I left they were feeding her a hot cross bun with marmalade. Interesting. #judgementalhaton
