Beasty how nice that he missed his Dsis though.

Hope all the poorly babies are feeling better soon and that they are all less grumpy tomorrow.

Stacks and Nutella Thanks it cannot be easy with two DC, especially whilst our toddlers are right in the midst of learning so much and feeling frustrated. Hopefully your both getting some time alone to re-energise.

Barbeasty · 25/09/2014 07:50

He was fine. And it is nice they miss each other. Once we get to January and move him, he'll get to do after school club with her. Hopefully that will be nice for both of them.

WLmum · 25/09/2014 22:41

I nearly fainted on the train on the way home from work today. A long day that overran so I raced for the train, read a particularly gruesome bit in my book and felt my vision and hearing going. I felt like a right twat crouched on the floor of the 6.03 from Waterloo! Luckily the crouching fixed it and then I was ok. Non story really!

WLmum · 25/09/2014 22:43

Dd1 has started writing an Xmas list - top is 'a small live pet - green parrot'! I thought she meant an actual parrot until I replied to Xmas list thread and realised it is in fact a toy!

WLmum · 26/09/2014 06:38

Argh - everyone slept til 6, except me - I've been up since 5. How ridiculous!

FrazzledFandango · 26/09/2014 08:29

There's nothing worse than being up while everyone else sleeps WL. feels like a massive waste.

DM is talking about getting DS a digibird. I think they look hugely annoying and like he'll break it in 2 mins.

Ive bought DS a wooden kitchen from Asda. It was £40 and looks like one of the £80 ones.

Barbeasty · 26/09/2014 13:12

WL if it's any consolation we were all up at 5!

A's cough was really bad, and his breathing wasn't fantastic. DH got him a Dr appointment (whole other thread about letting a baby cry in a busy waiting room for nearly 2 hours).

Dr said he doesn't need hospital yet (!!). It's a virus that's gone to his chest. We've got a prescription for an inhaler and some tablets to disolve in squash to help with the phlegm. If it gets worse then go to ooh or hospital.

He's been getting very attached to things recently. His cot is slowly filling with things he screams if we try to take back. And he won't sleep if a particular book isn't in his cot, open on a specific page.

halestone · 26/09/2014 13:22

WL, i hope you manage to get a better sleep tonight.

BeastyThanks i hope A is feeling better soon.

Fazzled (i went to call you Willyou then but Frazzled sounds better) i was looking at them but only online so wasn't sure of it would be too high for H. We havn't got a clue what to get H for her birthday we have Christmas sorted. When shes older we're thinking of experience days for her birthday and presents for christmas. But shes to young for that yet.

Barbeasty · 26/09/2014 19:14

I think think the inhaler (blue) worked wonders, and the pills are steroids! He fell asleep on me, feeding. So I suspect he'll wake in the night and need changing etc.

The Dr said his throat is red and his tonsils are swollen again, and a slight rash on his arms. Fingers crossed he's better soon!

Hope you get a good night tonight WL

What have you got her for Christmas Hales? The ikea toy kitchen is meant to be good. DD loved hers when we got it (she used to play with the one in the toy shop, and we'd have to search her pockets for toy food!). And DS loves it. Also both like dolls.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/09/2014 19:20

Beasty did they not give him a steroid inhaler too? What are the tablets called?

A colleague moaned at me today because I hadn't washed up (didn't get a chance as was on my own for the last half an hour should have done it earlier but forgot) and I wouldn't stay later to do it. She was really snarky infront of other colleagues and made me feel shit Sad

WLmum · 26/09/2014 21:02

beasty I'm glad A is feeling a bit better, that sounds nasty, poor wee man.
spotty she sounds like a lovely colleague! Try to remind yourself that she's probably unhappy about other stuff in her life and try not to let it make you feel shit. Bet your other colleagues were in your side.

PurplePidjin · 26/09/2014 21:40

is it actually in your job description to skivvy for her or do you normally just get on with it out of the kindness of your heart? poor cow, might break a nail or summation Wink

halestone · 26/09/2014 21:42

That sounds horrible for A and you Beasty.

Spotty agree with everything Willyou says. Thanks its horrible when collegues upset you.

Beasty for christmas we've brought her a Graco dolls pram/cot/highchair and baby bouncer and we're going to buy a doll to go with it. I wanted to buy her a garden set for her birthday (i think it will be cheaper closer to December) but DP says no.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/09/2014 21:51

Well whoever's on it the morning is supposed to do it before they finish and for some reason there was loads today. But the pesky doctors being out 3 mugs at a time etc and I'm on my own with a queue of six people and a vomiting lady etc. But I do always forget to do it Blush

WLmum · 27/09/2014 07:05

I'm sure the queue of patients would understand if you asked them to wait while you washed up - I know I would! (Not)

Barbeasty · 27/09/2014 07:14

The pills are prednisolone (I think!), I think because it's a chest infection rather than asthma he just has medicine to ease the immediate symptoms.

A slept through last night from about 5.30 until almost 5.30 this morning. And the best news is that his nappy didn't leak.

halestone · 27/09/2014 09:11

Hopefully the medication is helping him to sleep Beasty.

WLmum · 27/09/2014 20:12

For the first time ever (I think) I opened the wine before the dds were in bed. The day started off well with a local village running festival - DH and friend did 10k, dd1 and friend did 1k and dd2 did 1 lap of the field 1/3k. But then they have been such hard work (not dd1 actually) - wailing at the drop of a hat etc. it was the last staw from a very tough couple if weeks

PurplePidjin · 27/09/2014 22:52
