nutella T was like that to start with, we co slept for a while then she'd go in her cot next to me for gradually increasing periods of the night. I was too tired to fight it. It will get better although I'm still waiting for T to go a whole night without boobs but in the meantime there's tea and biscuits! Dd2 could never get the concept of not waking T up meant that I could focus on her for a bit.
pidj all mine love swimming but don't get to go enough. There's never enough time for everything. Might try to take them on Sunday.

MrsNutella · 07/11/2014 12:38

Wl I love swimming but DS isn't keen being out of his depth and the pools here aren't particularly nice either

Well last night was a bit better. DD seemed to sleep more and feed a touch less. Today she is quite snotty though, poor love.

DS has his last molars coming through Shock I can see the bottom left one. I thought I saw it when he was crying the other day. Then this morning I think I zipped a bit of chin into his jacket terrible mummy+ wriggly toddler=zip injury and when he cried I could definitely see that a tooth is on the way.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/11/2014 16:49

Dd's at her first disco she wanted to wear her prettiest dress I hope she enjoys it as obviously the other children weren't as dressed up.

Ds has started saying yes please (ease) it's really sweet Smile

halestone · 07/11/2014 18:16

Nutella yay to the better sleep last night i hope DD does it again tonight. And i hope DS's back Molars don't upset him to much.

Spotty, i hope DD has a nice time tonight.

WL how was your holiday i forgot to ask.

halestone · 07/11/2014 18:17

Pidj don't feel guilty,H loves swimming but we cannot always go due to family or other commitments. It just neans when we do go its more special.

MrsNutella · 07/11/2014 19:39

Hales you're right, when they love doing something it's somehow even better if it feels like a treat!
I remember as a kid we would often go swimming in a Friday night after school and have sausage/pie or something and chips from the chippy. Very happy memories Smile

Dd fell asleep at playgroup today. Fast asleep in the floor in the middle of chaos. So obviously I need to make more constant noise at home Hmm

MrsNutella · 07/11/2014 19:41

hales re the teeth... I wouldn't have even known about the teething if I hadn't seen the tooth almost through! He had a sore bottom last week but we didn't know why. Now we do!

PurplePidjin · 07/11/2014 20:18

Yeah, we haven't been for like a year or something Blush Ah well, I have an arrangement to go with a friend and her same-age ds after Christmas so can assauge myself Wink

It does only get better sleep-wise, Nut IIRC R was the same - hell on earth to settle at home, picture of innocence fast asleep or angelically beaming from his tummy at group Hmm

How does this child have accidents at my mum's house yet be beautifully dry when out and about for the entire afternoon in a strange town despite having had fuck all nap? Seriously WTF?

OP posts:
halestone · 07/11/2014 21:38

Pidj, H stopped having a daytime nap about 3 weeks ago i miss nap time so much. And we find that H has more accidents if we have visitors here. I think its down to her not wanting to miss anything so she wets her knickers.

It seems so strange seeing H run around in knickers and a vest. Well thats when she leaves them on she has now learnt how to fully undress so clothes don't stay on her for long. She loves being naked.

WLmum · 07/11/2014 21:59

hales we had a lovely time thanks. I have a video of T running about in the caravan naked - she often asks me to help her get 'nunu'!
We all had a fab time at the fireworks - T kept saying 'amazing' and 'wow'
nut dd2 was like that - every week at dd1s music group she would fall asleep. I think T is getting her last molars too - been totally Velcro and red cheeked.

PurplePidjin · 07/11/2014 22:25

today was anomalous as he refused to fall asleep in the car at nap time despite my careful planning of the day Hmm

OP posts:
MrsNutella · 08/11/2014 10:19

Pidj I hope you had a good night despite the lack of nap.

DS was snoring in a very strange way last night. It sounded like he was also having trouble breathing. He still gets a croup like cough occasionally so we were worried it might be that. But he slept ok. He was unsettled this morning but DH gave him calpol and a cuddle and he went back to sleep until almost 8!Shock
DD also slept better and I fed her before running downstairs for breakfast. She slept until about 10:45 ish! Crazy!

PurplePidjin · 08/11/2014 12:31

Yes thank you Nut he didn't wake till 5:15 for his nappy (previously 4am) and then went back to sleep until 6:45 :o Plus my mum's having him tonight as an extra birthday pressie for me, so liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiie iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin ahoooooooooooooooooooooooy!!

I hope you're feeling more positive Brew

MrsNutella · 08/11/2014 12:44

Pidj thank you only a little jealous of a lie inEnvyEnvyEnvy I am feeling a bit better. DD seems to have settled a little, I think we are pretty much out the other side of a brain burp/ developmental leap. I know that another month ish and she'll be all different again.

PurplePidjin · 08/11/2014 12:48

You know you can do it now though Cake

OP posts:
halestone · 08/11/2014 13:20

Well done to H Nutella Grin

Pidj i hope you love every second of your lie in Grin

OP posts:
Barbeasty · 08/11/2014 20:37

Enjoy the lie in, make sure you use it!!

DD is being truly horrible. She has tonsillitis (another 2 days off school this week makes it 4 days off in 3 weeks of school) and the antibiotics seem to be giving her awful mood swings. She's either perfect or like the worst child I've ever met. Naughty, rude....

But at her riding lesson today she cantered and they did jumping. This is lesson number 4! And they said they will give her a slower horse next time.

A is still desperate to ride and even seemed to be dreaming about horses on the way home.

We went to the fireworks this evening. He loved it.

halestone · 09/11/2014 12:38

Beasty how is DD today? And bless A dreaming of horses sounds super cute.

Pidj, did you make the most of your lie in.

We took H to the remembrance day parade. We're home now trying to get her warm. She loved watching everyone.

PurplePidjin · 09/11/2014 12:51

Beasty Brew to get you through the mood swings, are they related to calpol wearing off? She's making excellent progress at riding, any reason A can't have a go?

Picked up R this morning and he conked before the parade so I slipped over and caught the wreath laying and prayer. I slept till 7:30 and woke naturally, had coffee in bed then dp made lovely breakfast and I did some more on The Kitchen before we collected him. So a lovely little break could do with another week or two but hey ho

Pomegranite (sp?) is a huge success with H. Grin

Barbeasty · 09/11/2014 17:52

Arrrgh. DD was really good this morning, but DH and I agreed that he would keep her at home rather than coming to my dad's for lunch so she would be rested ready for school tomorrow.

So what did he do? Took her out for a fun filled afternoon. She's been sobbing since they got home (after us and we got back just before 5). Since then she's thrown her dinner on the floor, been shut in her room to calm down, refused to even try and take the medicine. When she was in her room she started throwing books onto the landing.

Why did he do it? She'd have been better off getting over excited with grandpa!!

I'm pretty annoyed with him now. It's me that will deal with the aftermath every night after school this week.

And she isn't even on calpol! It's the antibiotics. They did this to her last time she had them too. I don't care if it's more awkward with having to have doses at school- next time she's having the 4 doses a day medicine, not this twice a day stuff!!

I asked how old they need to be to do a lead rein horse ride, thinking A could do one for his birthday, but they said they need to be 3. I reckon we could get away with asking if he could sit on a horse for a minute after DD's lesson on his birthday weekend.

utopian99 · 09/11/2014 17:52

O loves pomegranate too. He and DH started a tradition between them on holiday in Sicily of picking one off the trees in the villa and dissecting it between them in the afternoon. Now we've come home dh has taken to buying them for his daddy days with O. Grin

halestone · 09/11/2014 18:37

Oh no Beasty, i hope tomorrow is a better day for you all.

Utopian that sounds so cute.

I have some rather embarrassing news to share. H was dancing with her teddy bear to Justin Beiber i have failed as a parent Grin

Barbeasty · 09/11/2014 21:02

Hales no forgiveness here!!

They're both in bed at least. Just worried that DD will get into trouble at school tomorrow.

A spent a pleasant afternoon trying on people's shoes and putting theirs on their feet.
