Mama Thanks I am sorry i have no advice other than to go with your instinct as to when you go to NZ. You and your family are in my thoughtsThanks

MaMaPo · 03/11/2014 22:41

Thanks hales.

WLmum · 03/11/2014 22:46

Back from weekend away but too knackered to chat (have read up though). Just wanted to say hi. Night night.

utopian99 · 03/11/2014 23:26

Equally think go with your instinct mama. Thinking of you and definitely a good thing you saw him recently.

On a slightly flippant note, I decided it would be hilarious to motorboat me in front of the midwife today. HmmBlush he's been obsessed with them all day (cleavage more than actual boob though really ) - but not bf since he was 13 months. Why now?!

utopian99 · 03/11/2014 23:26

That should be O decided.

Even weirder otherwise!

MrsNutella · 04/11/2014 09:13

Mama so glad you got to introduce your grandad to C. I'm sure he loved that. It's a really tough decision if you can only make one trip. Thanks

utopian sorry, I'm being dim, what is motorboating? I think I can guess... But I could of course be totally wrong.

Although just before DD arrived DS was rally into sticking his hand down my cleavage. Hmm I just tried to ignore it. Sadly when he sticks his hand down papa's top papa laughs so he isn't really helping the cause.

DS started at nursery yesterday. He loved it! No idea how long they will stretch out settling for... Hopefully not long. Poor dd has some sniffles again.

MaMaPo · 04/11/2014 10:16

Thanks utopian and nutella. He passed away this evening; much faster than expected but at least my aunt was with him. I'll go over early next week for the funeral. I will be taking C with me but my husband can't come - it's quite a big trip but luckily my sister will travel with me so she can give me a hand. Going to be a sad time.

C has been a delight today but seems very concerned and confused when I burst into tears a couple of times! Poor wee girl!

Maryland2013 · 04/11/2014 19:30

Sorry to hear your sad news Mama Flowers

WLmum · 04/11/2014 21:42

So sorry to hear that mama. I'm glad your aunt was with him and that little C is providing some comfort. Extra cuddles all round.

FrazzledFandango · 04/11/2014 23:05

Sorry for your loss mama. Lots of snuggles with C. I'm glad your grandad got to meet her.

halestone · 05/11/2014 10:41

Mama, i hope your ok today.

H told us she had a sore head last night and actually took medicine without a fight.

halestone · 05/11/2014 17:34

Hope everyone has a safe Bonfire Night. I'm feeling abit rubbish but i'm gonna grin and bear it as H wants to see fireworks. Luckily our local display is literally around the corner from our house. So if she hates it we can come straight back. The bangs so far haven't bothered her but DPs fireworks upset her last week.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/11/2014 17:38

We're going to one on Saturday. It has free mulled wine Grin

PurplePidjin · 05/11/2014 18:32

I'm thinking of getting some edible glitter, mixing it with water and putting it in bottles to fire from a bike pump. Daytime fireworks. If I get organised (am currently brewing a bug but it's just at the fluey aches stage I'm hoping it's going to pass) I might invite some of R's little buddies round on Saturday afternoon. But I'm feeling a bit apathetic so it may well just not happen Hmm

DS has a cold so we've had to give ours a miss. We're watching through the window instead and had 10 mins watching in the street.

He absolutely loves them. I can't find one this weekend or I'd take him.

SpottyTeacakes · 05/11/2014 19:00

We can't see any from where we live Sad

WLmum · 05/11/2014 21:17

That sounds awesome pidj. We're going to the school display on fri - T will be in the ergo wearing baby ear defenders!
In other stupendous news, I can once again do sit ups! My stomach muscles finally work again!

MaMaPo · 06/11/2014 02:14

Oh, guy Fawkes! No such thing here, in fact, you can't buy fireworks at all.

Thanks everyone. I'm feeling ok, but very stressed. The trip to nZ has been sorted (so much to plan) but luckily my sister is a travel agent so she can get access to bookings very easily and cheap car hire!

I have complained about my mil before but she's being so helpful with this. We are out all day at this event on Saturday and she is going to come and pick C up in the afternoon and take her home to bed at her place so we can clear up in peace. Then she's going to get C up and come and pick me up to take us to the airport. All of this at 5am!

MrsNutella · 06/11/2014 13:41

It's one of those Confused days! My back hurts, my nipples hurt I think DD was actually attached all night.
DS is awake at least half an hour early from his nap. Thank GOD DH is still on holiday.
DD finally went to sleep in her car seat this morning when DS saw her at home and decided she needed to be rocked in her car seat. Repeatedly shooed him away telling him "shhhh baby girl sleeping" turn my back for a second and DS shouts "BABY GIRL WAKE" yeah. great. I don't know what he did but she did not look impressed.

I can't remember when but I know DS used to sleep for a chunk of the night in his bed. So far DD has managed precisely 0 sleeps at night in her own bed..... I know it's not forever but right now it feels long!
AAAAARRRGGGGHHHHHHHH

and breathe.....

Thanks Pidj! Smile I had some coffee and cake. But I had to share the cake with DS - my mum is always so impressed that he eats pretty much everything! (Except anything with whole tomatoes in). I'm starting to wonder why exactly that's a good thing Wink

PurplePidjin · 06/11/2014 17:50

I'm feeling really guilty Sad took R swimming for the first time in ages today and he absolutely adored it, I should have been taking him more often Sad and he was so tired he wee'd on the floor in Tesco Blush luckily I mopped it up with his towel and asked them to disinfect it! And apologised profusely. Am getting some training pants for him off a fb group for times like that Blush
