We woke ds after 45 minutes yesterday and he slept until 6:15 woop!

WLmum · 20/10/2014 10:39

Such sad news about Lynda Bellingham. 66 is no age at all. How brave and wise she was to know when she'd had enough.

SpottyTeacakes · 20/10/2014 10:42

It's really sad especially as she wanted one last Christmas Sad anyone who does at work under the age of 70 (and there's a lot) it's always cancer. Such a cruel disease.

halestone · 20/10/2014 10:52

I agree, it is very sad i feel really sorry for her family and friends.

Yay for the good sleeps. H never got the memo, she only gave into sleep at midnight and then was up having nightmares alot. She woke up once sobbing coz 'daddy ated my sausages' haha. Obviously i told her daddy off for traumatising herWink

WLmum · 20/10/2014 10:55

That's cute hales

PurplePidjin · 20/10/2014 12:38

We have the Dr this afternoon for R as this tummy bug hasn't abated. He's been dairy free apart from a scrape of butter on bread since Friday. I'm not sure there's much they can do as he's not dehydrated or suffering (apart from being a bit clingy) nor does he have a temperature or pain/signs of ear infection etc. He's eating and drinking well, although is a bit fussy about his food and is mostly eating carbs like dry cereal!

Stacks what do you do with DS while you have DD in the sling? I want to play and paint do stuff with DS but I find it so hard with DD strapped to me all the time Confused

MrsNutella · 20/10/2014 14:47

Although I'm happy she is asleep!

pidj I hope the doc can help R or you! Poor little guy.

PurplePidjin · 20/10/2014 17:01

testing for uti and gastro, apparently we're unlikely to be contagious so quarantine is lifted Grin back if no improvement by Thu.

i gave him a vege sausage with cheesy mashed potato broccoli and cauliflower for dinner. so far he's demanded a 2nd sausage and 3rds of mash/veg. and a yoghurt. he's either better or we'll be doing a lot of cleaning later Shock Shock

Poor mini pidj. Ime they're not concerned until at least a whole week or more has passed if there are no other worrying symptoms. Hope he feels better soon.

WLmum · 20/10/2014 19:21

nutella I found if I perched on the front of a chair I could paint or do play doh, baking was a good one as I was standing up, I even managed to do bath and hair wash for dd1&2 with T in the moby! I'm sure it was pretty hard on my back but I found with a bit of manoeuvring I could do most things. I guess I mostly looked like a strange crab! As she got bigger she loved being on my hip in the ring sling while I cooked, hung out the washing etc. again, terrible for my back which is why I reluctantly stopped as she just got too heavy.

MrsNutella · 20/10/2014 21:12

WL did you have T on your front or your back? I'm finding it hard bending over to play with DS with DD on my front and of course DS wants to play cars or have a book read while playing on the floor.

WLmum · 20/10/2014 21:12

I just shouted at DH for slinking off to the loo for 30 mins -he admitted he was in there playing angry birds, leaving me to deal with the jobs and pile of school paperwork. Dick.

WLmum · 20/10/2014 21:19

In the moby she was always on my front. I used to insist on stories on the sofa and saved floor games for when she would lay under the baby gym or in the bouncy chair. Don't forget though that dd2 was 2.5 already when T was born so that bit older and that bit easier. Could you buy a car/road mat that you could put on the dining table?

PurplePidjin · 20/10/2014 21:58

wl Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry not surprised you were cross!

i can't do hip carries. he's either on my back or not at all these days!

10 days since first puke hence Dr trip today. he's been wakey this evening but no vom yet so Fx...

WLmum · 20/10/2014 22:19

Didn't realise it had been that long pidj. Have you tried the brat diet? Although tbh I think its best to be guided by what he fancies. Good that the dr wasn't worried but still awful for you all.
DH obviously felt bad as he has since done loads of jobs - which if course I have no issue with, but there's some outstanding tax stuff that I need to deal with and haven't got to because we're always busy and knackered and I'd earmarked tonight for it as we're both home and are with the dds etc so if he'd come and helped it would have got done but I was too tired/pissed off to do it in the end. I'm always responsible for all the household admin (incl school stuff) which pisses me off.

WLmum · 20/10/2014 22:22

Right, now I've ranted I'm going to be a grown up and let it go!

SpottyTeacakes · 21/10/2014 04:34

Me too WL I get so fed up of doing it all the time! I'm not surprised you were pissed off with dh.

PurplePidjin · 21/10/2014 13:04

Yes, was getting through a lot of rice cakes!

No vom last night, a solid poo at 3am which I left in the bathroom to get a sample from this morning but dp kindly flushed it Angry:o and nothing since so no sample. Also no wee on the potty! Had him weighed as requested and he's put on a whole kilo in 2 months Shock although hasn't shot up yet. Still happily on his line though. 2 year check on Thursday, how did that happen?!

halestone · 21/10/2014 13:16

It has flown Pidj.

WL, i think you were entitled to rant.

I went out for a meal last night with my friends and as i never do it my nan and grandad volunteered to have H overnight. I still can't collect her as i am too hungover. DP is going to have to do it when he wakes up. luckily nan and grandad are very understanding.

PurplePidjin · 21/10/2014 13:22

:o:o:o hales

OP posts:
WLmum · 21/10/2014 20:32

Nice work hales! Hangovers are evil but I find they're worth the letting down of hair that is do rare these days.
Fx that means he's shaken it off pidj

halestone · 21/10/2014 22:45

It was well worth it, Grin H came home at tea time and jumped all over me which was lovely but vomit inducing Sad

halestone · 22/10/2014 09:51

H woke up again last night, again she was crying saying 'man chased me mummy'. I hate that shes obviously having nightmaresSad

PurplePidjin · 22/10/2014 12:16

Aww poor H Sad

Bug appears to have passed, dropped off samples this morning so we'll see if they can find anything.
