hales that's awful, poor thing. You could try quiet classical music playing in the background - our Mozart for babies dc has been a lifesaver when dd1&2 have gone through tricky night time phases.

Fx pidj

Barbeasty · 22/10/2014 20:55

Pidj he'll be better because you even thought about going to the Dr! Glad he is though.

I'm just managing to keep up and read all the posts, struggling to add to it myself.

MaMaPo · 22/10/2014 21:04

Hello you list! Just saw the thread onActive Conversations so thought i'd pop in. Relieved to see I'm not the only one facing more frequent tantrums, especially around bedtime, pyjamas and nappies. C has had some great meltdowns recently.

We have also had quite a bit of nap refusal in the past week. Angry this scares me quite a lot! Hoping it's a phase as I'm not ready!

Hope you are well!

MaMaPo · 22/10/2014 21:05

You list? You lot! Sorry, it's first thing in the morning here and I have eye ointment in as C has given us all conjunctivitis! Can barely see.

SpottyTeacakes · 22/10/2014 21:12

Oh no mama sounds horrible!

Ds didn't get to nap today and fell asleep on me (aww) at 4:40. Dd kindly Hmm woke him ten minutes later, he ate loads of dinner and was in bed by 6:10 (asked to go) so we will see how early he's up tomorrow.

Pidj aren't you getting married next week?!

PurplePidjin · 22/10/2014 21:16

hi beasty and mama don't be scared to update us even if you don't read everything Brew

nah we shunted it to next year, 6weeks was a bit ambitious Wink

r's new favourite word is Weesh meaning "ooh look dry leaves let's kick"!

Oh did I miss that Blush sorry I try to pay attention!

Ds made me give him 12 kisses before he lied down the other night Grin

FrazzledFandangenstein · 22/10/2014 21:21

Hi all. I'm in the same boat, struggling to keep up.

Jamie didn't nap today so he was fast asleep for 7:45. I have wine, a telly to myself and some fake footner socks to peel my feet.

Tantrums are beginning to abate here. Lots of nos, complete consistency and lots of post-paddy cuddles. He still has them but they're shorter, less violent and less frequent.

Food poisoning yet again on Monday. J managed to cover my new king size duvet, full set of bedding and a pillow. Then he was right as rain. the ASDA luxury mattress protector is awesome. Completely waterproof!

MaMaPo · 22/10/2014 21:42

Oh frazzled - food poisoning sounds awful. We haven't had anything like that here, yhank goodness.

Gosh, it's nice to see you all! Catch me up, how many new babies are there now? Spotty, you have one. fandango too? I've been out of the loop for ages.

We're TTC here too. Feels like it's taking ages. Been at it about 5-6 months (with varying levels of commitment to actually having sex due to illness and injury) which feels like forever as C was conceived pretty much instantly. Fx it's not too much longer but also feeling very old!

FrazzledFandangenstein · 22/10/2014 21:52

Ha neither Spotty nor I have Mama.

Nutella has, Stacks, FoD, SecondSop and Honeymum. Has Utopian had hers yet?

Food poisoning wasn't too bad, once the food was out he was okay. The 3 stomach bugs he's had in the last 6 months were dreadful. The joys of having a boy who puts everything in his mouth!

WLmum · 22/10/2014 21:59

Hi mama. Fx it happens soon for you - I remember the stresses of ttc.

MrsNutsandBolts · 22/10/2014 21:59

Utopian has another 3-5 weeks I think but she is next (no pressure Wink) DD is 10 weeks old. Our neighbours have a little boy who has problems like DS had when he was new bless her, she sounds exhausted. I'd help her out if my two were older.

Mama nice to see you on here again! I saw you pop up on the Dr thread. It was really interesting to see what qualifications people have.

halestone · 22/10/2014 22:15

Hello Mama Grin FX you have some baby news of your own soon.

Frazzled bless J hope he is feeling better soon.

DP is in my bad books again and again for a load of petty reasons. I can tell i have my AF.

WLmum · 22/10/2014 22:33

Synchronised hales!! A sign of too much mn?

halestone · 22/10/2014 23:47

haha it could well be WL, i find that i check this thread 3 or 4 times a day to see how everyone is or if anything has been posted. I probably speak to all of you more than i do some of my RL friends.

MaMaPo · 23/10/2014 00:55

Oh Blush wow, I got that so wrong! I mixed up spotty and stacks; and forgot about Nutella - I'm guessing that's you, mrsnuts, since your wedding? And didn't know at all about the others!

Congrats to all the new babies! Can we believe our terrors are nearly 2!

I am trying to work out what sort of cake to make for C. She loves Sarah and Duck (and so do I) so if love to make her a Duck cake, but I suspect it wouldn't look at all recognisable.

Hope you feel better soon Hales.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2014 05:24

I have two but an older one Grin I would like another one but dp has said no.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2014 06:33

Ddas if you're lurking do you know much about acr levels in a type 1 diabetic?! Mine was 0.6 18mo ago and it's now 3.3. My gp said it should be under 2.5 but dr google Wink says below 3.5 for women. Also could it just be an off reading? I'm not seeing my consultant until January and wondering if I need to ring him.

PurplePidjin · 23/10/2014 12:33

1 wee in the potty, 2 in the toilet (one at group, one just before his nap) and one pair of wet pants... Someone decided he didn't want a nappy today Shock

OP posts:
FrazzledFandangenstein · 23/10/2014 15:06

High five R. J didn't wee all night and did a wee in the potty this morning (and has pooed in it all week). I don't hold out much hope for him stopping playing at nursery to tell them he wants a wee though so I've sent him in a pull-up.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2014 15:23

All day yesterday I was thinking today was Friday and I still feel like it is now. Was almost late to get dd from school as they were moving sheep and I got stuck behind them Grin they go pretty fast though.

MrsNutsandBolts · 23/10/2014 16:05

spotty how do you feel about the whole third DCS situation, if you don't mind me asking. I don't enjoy pregnancy or the newborn stage much; but I can't imagine stopping at 2 Confused. I want a bigger gap if there is to be a DC3; but DH mostly says no.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2014 16:15

Pretty sad tbh but I can't throw away everything we have because of it, not that I haven't considered it Blush had it been 'allowed' to have another I would wait until ds is starting school.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/10/2014 18:29

My non talking ds just put two words together! 'Bye-bye dada' he also said chocolate earlier Grin

ddas · 23/10/2014 19:46

I am indeed still here. Read the thread but once caught up no time to post anything sensible!

spotty pm'd you.

I sometimes wonder about no 3. Don't think we could afford it though so if anything we'll think about it in another 5 years. Only in my early 30's now so hopefully time to mull it over. But unlikely there will be dc3 sadly. Have even sold all dd & ds's stuff they are growing out of!! nutella I feel the other way- nostalgic about pregnancy and the baby period.
