Yum hales I'll have one of those!
spotty that sounds like an awesome plan.
Dd1 said my hair looks terrible, dd2 said she likes the zigzags (!) and T just said boobies. Well after last night shenanigans plans have begun to shut the milk bar once and for all.

SpottyTeacakes · 09/10/2014 08:10

What did dh say WL? Honestly I think it looks great

WLmum · 09/10/2014 20:20

He says he likes it and I think he does. Some of the women at work said it was nice but no men!
I think T is getting her last teeth (4 still to go) which could explain thd boob overdrive. She doesn't seem overly bothered though and hasn't been upset when she's woken in the night.
Beans on toast and bed for me!

WLmum · 09/10/2014 20:28

I meant to say thank you spottySmile. Actually in a way it's quite good that dd1 said my hair was terrible because then I was able to talk to her about it being ok to like things that other people don't etc - I would like her always to know her own mind and not be inhibited by what her friends think (however unrealistic that might be)!

SpottyTeacakes · 10/10/2014 05:44

That's good WL. I want to say it's really funky but feel a bit of a nob saying that Grin

I've lost my voice and have to work today. Fridays we have an audiology clinic and obviously always lots of elderly people, I usually have to shout so feel I might struggle today.

Ds had us up at 4:45 Angry

WLmum · 10/10/2014 10:47

Ouch spotty. Ts sleep is all over the place - up from 2-4 last night.

utopian99 · 10/10/2014 14:05

I'm working from home while dh and O have their daddy day downstairs. O has just come upstairs to deliver my phone to me (it buzzed with a text,) then shot back off with not a backward glance! I have a PA in the making.

halestone · 10/10/2014 14:25

FX for better sleep tonight Spotty and that you feel better soonThanks

WL, i love your response to Dd1 about your hair.

Utopian thats so cute.

H is full of cold and we think her throat is sore as her voice sounds quite hoarse.

Barbeasty · 10/10/2014 16:38

It looks good WL.

Hope you're feeling better Spotty and hope little Hales is ok and doesn't get too chesty!

I'm glad it's Friday, but tomorrow will be manic.

PurplePidjin · 10/10/2014 19:44

So, so tired

R puked twice last night, necessitating a full change, plus carpet scrub this morning.

So I couldn't take him to play group, luckily the park was deserted and he wanted to take Dolly so didn't go on any equipment anyway.

Then my friend needed me to look after her LO while she went to see the consultant (39w into a risky pregnancy) which was ok but LO wasn't happy to be left so was periodicallly upset, plus it was mostly in R's nap time so I didn't get a sit down.

Then we went out for the afternoon. R decided he wanted to dress up in his tutu, then he decided he didn't want to take it off. So I've been That Parent all day.

Then we were late home so he refused dinner and I had to persuade a weetabix with banana into him because I don't want him awake and hungry in the night. My fault we were late, I decided I had to get a coffee while we were out as I hadn't had anything to drink since the morning (and ate my lunch on the run catering for everyone else so hadn't had a sit down either)

Bleurgh! Thank fuck God for Wine and chocolate and dp going well out of his way on the way home from a job interview to get me both!

PurplePidjin · 10/10/2014 20:00

Sorry Blush been holding the rant back for a while due to the immense pettiness of most of it but that kinda just fell out Blush

halestone · 10/10/2014 22:37

Oooo Beasty what are your plans for tomorrow?

Spotty, hope your voice is back soon.

Pidj,Wine and cake. We're here to listen to any rants even if you think the reason is petty. I don't think it was petty some days just really get to you.

WLmum · 10/10/2014 23:41

Wine is always a good call pidj. Fx for mr pidj.

PurplePidjin · 11/10/2014 15:42

Barbeasty · 11/10/2014 17:32

Fx for MrPidj. And hope everyone's feeling better today.

Today I have: filled the car up, gone to sorting office to collect a parcel, taken DD to ballet (half an hour's drive each way), gone to the market to finish the shopping, popped to Sainsbury's for the bits I'd forgotten (ham for DD's packed teas next week), gone to the library, collected the tie we ordered when DD hid one of hers the other week, gone a bought a couple of t shirts because DD seems to have grown out of hers, gone and had my flu jab (so I'm now starting to feel awful) and wrestled with a screaming DD to try and give her hers (the children waiting outside looked very scared as we came out! ), had lunch, took DD for her first riding lesson, come home and made dinner for the DC.

I plan to collapse with wine as soon as DH gets back from work.

Just one of those days where lots had to be done with lots of deadlines.

When DD took her hat off at riding, A put it on his head and looked hopeful.

When we got home he looked as though he was gagging and about to be sick. Then he looked as though he was choking. So i hit him on the back and out came...... A big green piece of fuzzy felt. He's an idiot!

SpottyTeacakes · 11/10/2014 17:37

Oh goodness beasty!

I went to my mums this morning and her friend pinned my wedding dress as it was about a foot too long! Then straight on to a birthday party of dd's school friend. I really don't like going. It's too loud and boring and now I have a headache Blush plus I'm still not feeling great and ds had us up at 5:15.

Barbeasty · 11/10/2014 19:18

Exciting Spotty. Hope you feel better, and you get a lie in tomorrow.

DH is doing bed time, I have a glass of wine.

I was looking for a you tube video of rising trot to show DH what DD did today, and found a TV piece about a German girl whose parents wouldn't let her have a horse, so she has trained a cow to let her ride it and even do small show jumps. I think I need more wine!!

WLmum · 11/10/2014 22:57

Good going beasty. Glad As fuzzy felt episode is now a humourus tale - that could have been scary.
spotty I'm the other end of the scale and had to have my wedding dress made as I'm so tall.
I've had a lovely day with my dds and am looking forward to DH being off tom for some whole family time.
And I discovered what I think is going to become a firm fave meal (not for fuss pot dds) - a waitrose meal card, roast cauliflower and spiced pilaf thing. 'Twas quick, easy and yum!

halestone · 11/10/2014 23:24

Wow Beasty that does sound like a long day. It made me giggle when you called A an idiot Grin

Spotty, ooo exciting how long till you get married?

WL, that sounds tasty.

H is asleep, but i can hear her coughing. Dp has a theory that the baby vicks makes her breathing worse has anyone heard of this before?

SpottyTeacakes · 12/10/2014 05:27

WL I make pilaf all the time love it with cauliflower.

Hales it's just under six weeks. I have no idea what drinks to have on the table as it will be 1pm. I was just going to have water (as it's at a pub on a budget) but my dad said I need something and he's paying....

Ds woke at 5am again I don't know what to do. I would just leave him (as he's only going 'MAA MAA MAA' but I don't want him to wake dd up.

SpottyTeacakes · 12/10/2014 06:58

Ds has learnt to blow his nose properly. Really proud as dd has literally only just learnt this Grin we are all so snotty!

ddas · 12/10/2014 09:12

You can get really cheap bottles of wine spotty but as at a pub will they let you source any of your own stuff as through them likely to be more expensive.

hales the menthol can make some children's airways constrict similar to asthma and sound like she's already on that spectrum.

SpottyTeacakes · 12/10/2014 09:26

We have to buy from them really. Cheapest is £18 a bottle. I quite fancy the £170 a bottle one though Wink

halestone · 12/10/2014 09:30

Spotty, i was going to say bottles of wine as well as jugs of water.

Ddas, DP will be thrilled at being right, he said vicks always makes his Asthma worse. I hope you and the DC are feeling better soon. Thanks Also well done to both DC for learning to blow their nose.
