And good bargain hunting!!

Wandathewindfairy · 30/07/2014 18:38

Girls will be here for ds1s birthday. I can't wait! Grin

I had a 2 year 3 month gap between the girls and then the same between the boys. I had a double P&T and then a Bugaboo Donkey respectively. I walked a lot, particularly with the boys and it was brilliant. I couldn't have down without a double buggy. I sold it when we move here as I have to get I. The car to go everywhere and DS1 is older now. I can trust him not to have to be strapped down in a shop.

I know the bugaboo was expense but it was great as I could have pram thing and regular seat, or car seat and regular seat, or two regular seats and I could flip both of them away, both to me or different ways and it was narrow enough to go through most doors. It also did a funny flippy thing so you could pull it through the sand or snow.

And also....finally....they hold their price if you look after them and sell for a decent amount.

Annnnnyyywaaayyyy, a fab day chilling with the stunts or the nuns

For 5 boys hanging around the place we actually did get to chat, drink copious amounts of coffee and generally visit. Mini stunts are fab and DS1 was most Disapointed they had to go home!

Wandathewindfairy · 30/07/2014 18:41

Oh and one stunt actually hoovered up the lunch detritus off the floor! Get that! Grin

They are 3 fab boys stuntnun and I had two lovely thank yous when they left.

Kyz · 30/07/2014 20:30

Goshes, hi guys! Sorry i've been away for so long, but i've been frantically busy, a new (wonderful scrummy amazing) kitten will do that to you I guess! I'm gonna catch up with the Fred now, and will be resuming normal posts tomorrow (I hope!) x

YellowWellies · 30/07/2014 21:00

Am loving the photos of the Norn Irn meet up!

Pass you attract shadows - no doubt - because you chat and engage with P and for other kids who's Mums are too busy chatting with pals / texting / dealing with other kids that is really appealing and they want someone to chat and engage with them. My sister always gets shadows at kids places.

I should say the city select double can also have a pram thing and regular seat, or car seat and regular seat, or two regular seats and either or both kid can be parent or world facing, and is narrow enough to go through doors and short enough to get through train doors. And it still has the baby jogger one handed fold!

I went back to work today and DH looked after J whilst working from home. My sister came along to help him as J is back up to speed and not WAH compatible now he's well! My sister's kids are on holiday with their Dad and she's missing them terribly so she really enjoyed looking after the wee bear Grin. He's back to nursery tomorrow. Hope it's not too much of a shock to his system as he's very clingy at the moment. He's definitely leaping and it seems to be to do with language and comprehension - he really is getting near everything said to him, even quite complex sentences / concepts and is starting to learn a little patience. A very little.

StuntNun · 30/07/2014 21:19

Sandy nappy = good day!

The laughalot household currently has the attractive aroma of vom, how can one little person throw so much up?!

Passmethecrisps · 30/07/2014 21:53

Oh no miss! What's up?

Glad to hear young master bear is firing on all cylinders again. Good news! P has also been a cling monster without having been unwell and is similarly making great leaps. She suddenly comes out with words I have never heard before and is now taking on colours. Although every car is blue. . .

The shadows appear at the park as well. The park is worse as they follow us silently from equipment to equipment and don't seem able to actually join in. I would happily join them in but the park kids seem to find it hard but want company all the same. I genuinely don't mind but it often turns into competitiveness or being a bit in your face. Today a wee girl chummed up which was fine but then she wanted on the swingy mushroom thing with p saying they could share. P enthusiastically lept off to let her on meaning she then announced "I want to play on this myself now" - this happens to p and I a lot. P is no shrinking violet but I see more of me in her than I really want in those situations. It's only a bouncy mushroom mind you.

Passmethecrisps · 30/07/2014 21:53

And your day sounded absolutely fabulous stunt and wanda

StuntNun · 30/07/2014 22:41

It was Pass, a lovely day of happy children, relaxed mummies, good food and even better company. Hopefully we'll all sleep well tonight. DH even remarked that I sounded happy when he phoned up tonight. SmileSmileSmile

Sounds fab Stunt and Wanda!

The vom came completely out of the blue, just before bedtime O asked for a cuddle and then it all came out of her. Once she was done she started naming all the veggies she could see...

So I had a quick shower, we did her bedtime bath, and 1 hour later it happened again, this time absolutely none on the carpet, it all went down my top. So we quickly washed and changed her again after which she went toddling off to her cot, pointing and saying 'sleep, sleep'. She seems quite settled now so hopefully that's it. No idea what's caused it, she's been with MIL today about which I have a separate issue that I might ask about on FB tomorrow. Hope everyone gets a restful night x

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2014 01:45

Back home, and Daddy has given J bread from Morrisons which likely contains milk and/or Soya. There is nothing on the label, and nothing on the Internet, so goodness knows how he decided it was a good idea. He thinks exposure is good. I think being awake all night is bad.

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2014 01:50

I have just given him piriton as his skin is coming out in patches as it does with soya and dairy. I am away for two nights so will have to be very firm with DH about keeping on with the meds and avoiding fucking allergens!

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2014 03:12

Still here! Wish I still drank Brew

KiltedKoala · 31/07/2014 04:47

OMG vq holding hands. Hope he settles soon x

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2014 04:56

Thank you KK Smile

I have woken Daddy. J is still awake. I made sure Daddy knew why he was awake. Night night x

Lily311 · 31/07/2014 05:16

Morning quiche,
Another early wake. Went out last night so not feeling too fresh this morning I'm afraid. Need to sort out car tax and other things before our holiday so no chance to rest.

Who would like a quiche meet between 10-18 august? We are back in London and I'm planning a short trip to Milton Keynes to annoy meet the lovely chasing.

Pikz · 31/07/2014 06:26

Up here early too lily

VQ I hope you got some sleep

Laughalot hope O is better

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2014 07:40

He fell asleep 5.30 and woke at 7. I did the same. Like old times Grin

Yes, the allergies are still there. Yes he still needs his meds. Yes I am exhausted, but have two nights on my own now. What is the betting I don't sleep through worry or excitement.

GTbaby · 31/07/2014 08:13

Miss does O walk when your out? If so is go for a a buggy board and sling. I needed a double with smaller age gap and H being a late walker. However if having A now I'd prob just get a buggy board instead.

H was at nursery yesterday. Threw up twice so went and picked him up. He was ok when home. Although a little clingy and didn't eat anything.

So far he has been in twice this and last week. Both weeks I've had to pick him up. Which is fine ATM as I'm home. But what happens when I'm at work? How do you decide?

Wandathewindfairy · 31/07/2014 08:14

Up early (ish) here too. Just planning trip to Lidle to entertain the boys Confused

When are you off vq is it today? Are you off o. A little prop plane! I am so excited for you. Grin

Today I am mainly preparing for the girls, and doing the birthday cake top for DS1s cake for next week. HELLLLLPPP. I am poo at doing those kinds of things . Os owl was a fluke.

ValiumQueen · 31/07/2014 08:36

Please go to FB. Have a problem and need hand holding

GTbaby · 31/07/2014 08:53

H is deff poorly. His cousins are over today. And he is just laid on sofa. He has runny poo.

BigPigLittlePig · 31/07/2014 09:33

I have just enjoyed 4 mini gingerbread men for breakfast.

Today is decluttering day Smile

Good luck for your interview vq, and fc dh wises up xx

BigPigLittlePig · 31/07/2014 09:39

...toilet break...

Hope H feels better soon, gt. We have been fortunate in that we have never been called to collect F from nursery, but when she has been ill, dh took unpaid leave, or my mum/mil helped for a day or two.

Living room all decorated now, although gave myself some cracking carpet burns crawling around painting the skirting boards. Not sure what people at work made of that Blush
