Happy hols stunt!

daisy, only tip for nursery is to let O take his favourite teddy with him if he has one. My boys both thake theirs and usually ignore it when they get there but if they are having an off day they like the comfort of having it there.

pass we stopped using a bottle for milk when L was just over one but still give him a cup of milk in the morning before breakfast and evening just after dinner. In fact A still has the same and he is 3 and 3 months.

They get it in Tommy Tippee cups so they can drink it while they run around and play and the morning one is handy as it means DH and I can lie in bed for an extra hour on the weekends as the boys will drink their milk and play upstairs. Without it L would be screaming for his breakfast.

Oh and I read somewhere pass that kids need 3 portions of dairy type food per day. My boys probably have 3 or 4 as they have 2 cups of milk (but don't always drink all the evening one), a yoghurt and often some cheese each day.

A cat who thrives on dropped scampi, Sunday roasts and occasional sneaked ale. Awesome.

The minor ailments scheme is ace. P was about 10 months old before I twigged - the supermarket chemist I used didn't suggest it. It was when I went back to work and DH took over the medication that we got signed up. Our pharmacist has been ace. It was him who gave us a plan to wean p off her meds as the docs didn't seem to clear.

Interesting about the words yw. I had been wondering if p is having some kind of leap which might explain her upset sleep and the increased chat. Today she has been like a parrot and has been using words I didn't know she had. As for your pal, I saw an ace quote on FB earlier from someone we all know and love actually and it said "teaching is from the heart not from the books". Maybe dog trainer mummy could learn a bit from that.

I think I need to widen H vocabulary. I do think at times my own vocabulary is quite limited actually.
I need a word of the day type app.

Howdy

DH gets a word of the day emailed to him from the Oxford English Dictionary. Most of them are great words but not necessarily toddler friendly Grin

I am sure H's vocabulary is absolutely fine. You have two and the in laws around!! He will be listening to everything going on and trying to follow two languages. I suspect he is squirrelling away all sorts and will come out with t all when you least expect!

I am up with a vomiting little boy. At least this time I know it is a bug. A bit like old times really. Poor wee fella

Report
ValiumQueen · 06/07/2014 06:05

It might not be a bug as he is now perky as a perky thing and scoffing a banana. Might be the orange he had yesterday.

Morning vq. I'm up with a hot and grumpy little girl.

Daddy touched my leg. Waaaah.
The door isn't shut. Waaaaaah.
The cat made a noise. Waaah.

Etc.

Morning all.

Finding it hard to keep up. All well here. Dc fine and so am I.

Mum is coming to visit from the UK on Tuesday so I'm likely to be even quieter for a month :)

BigPigLittlePig · 06/07/2014 07:16

No, not yet vq. She has 16 teeth already and no signs of molars. Just fever and grumps.

Anyway. Talk to me about lovely things you lot are doing today.

I'll put the Brew on.

I have been pestered from 6am to put the swimming pool out. I need to wait for a bit of sun as it is a tad chilly today.

I am day three of my fruit fast today. I will likely stop after today as I am back at work tomorrow. And I am getting pretty fed up of juice.

No more vom yet so I am hoping it was just a one-off. DD2 used to do that around this age, indeed still does sometimes, just voms for no apparent reason.

F has just learnt the sad lesson that, despite ones best efforts, a cat is unlikely to play fetch with a ball.

Paddling pool! Shock You have hardier children than me, VQ.

At this precise moment I would gladly push dh off a cliff.

He moans about being tired but didn't come to bed til 5. Then tries to make out like he's done me a favour by letting me sleep alone - whatever, he wakes everyone up coming to bed at that time, then expects a lie in. Fuck off.

Lol. This is my DHs Saturday routine when he gets the boys up on a Sunday. We relax with a couple of beers, some nibbles, dinner, a bottle of wine, then he settles down for a film and I go to bed with a book. He sneaks into bed anywhere between 1 and dawn, then forces himself up with the boys and into yesterday's clothes. He is grumpy all day Sunday.

Without fail that is what he does. I ignore it and carry on being chirpy. Grin

I have never really said anything as he is a grown up and should figure it out for himself.

So last night he announces he is having an early night Shock I may have scuppered it slightly thinking I should follow suit Wink but he was asleep by 10:30.

So am looking forward to a lovely Sunday and we are going to MILs for Sunday lunch as is SILs birthday so I don't have to cook anything either! (I know I love to cook but we have guests again this week so a day off would be good!)

Again! Shock Yep. These ones should be easy as they are originally from here, he will probably go off walking and I might introduce her to the new cafe scene in the seaside town up the road. No children as their children are grown up.

I am really looking forward to seeing them. She was the woman who took me under her wing when I investigated the church near DHs when I moved in. I was just beginning to climb out of my really rough time. I miss that church a lot, in fact that is the only thing I miss really. The women's fellowship there was second to none. So it will be great to have them here.

Wanda normally I don't mind when he comes to bed - it is just that then he wouldn't get up. Words have been had. Quite loud words Blush

Am a little anxious about exams this week - if I'm well rested I might be ok. If tired I am stuffed - I make the most idiotic mistakes.

Think I need a break after - Wanda?! Wink

What menu delights can we expect?

Ooo I am. It sure yet. I think night one we will a crispy chicken thighs think, with nice fresh toms, new pots from the drive through tato man up the road, baguette and maybe a rasp bomb for pud. Not sure about night two. Something summery, inspiration gladly accepted!!

Quiet today.

Am watching the tennis while doing some sorting. DH took the DC to visit PIL, so I am doing this all by myself. I do love my helpers but love being alone sometimes.

S is better again today, he looks all scabby and awful bless him, but he's eaten a bit more and played a bit too today, so I really feel like we have turned a corner. Grin

That's good to hear zamboni

:)

We went to a theme park today. I went on some of the scary white knuckle rides and loved them as much as ever. DD1, despite being under 4 so allowed in free was tall and heavy enough for the non white knuckle rides, and I don't think she'll ever be satisfied with a merry go round again.

It was massive fun. LO got to go on a few things and got really angry on one thing she considered too tame (it was a boat ride)
