Yippeeee, airing the girls bedroom.

Lily311 · 29/07/2014 12:07

Yay wanda

Anyone going through early wakings? It's been a week that O wakes at 5.30, I'm dying. SHe is extremely moody throughout the day and is very tired obviously. She has a nap at lunchtime of 1.30-2hours and goes down by 7. It's pitch dark in her room. Is there a leap at this age? She is 20 months old now.

Passmethecrisps · 29/07/2014 12:45

I suspect leap lily.
P doesn't wake early but is a trauma to get down to sleep and has been fully waking multiple times a night for a few days

ValiumQueen · 29/07/2014 13:04

Leap Lily Smile

Wanda Yay for girls Grin

Butch welcome back and Sad for operations.

Having a wonderful time camping. Lovely site so J and the girls can safely run about. We have a huge tent so the living space can be kept clear so J can bounce of the walls to his heart's content. He slept until 7 this morning which was fab. He was a bit restless in the night as he kept getting out of his sleeping bag and getting cold.

ChasingDaisy · 29/07/2014 13:41

As you know Lily, I suspect leap too. My O has just started doing the same thing this week and he is a week younger than yours.

StuntNun · 29/07/2014 13:44

DS1 and DS2 made soup for lunch! Pic on FB.

Still no blisters and the rash is starting to fade, and he's still really poorly plus a barking cough has now appeared so now doc is undecided as to whether rubella, measles or roseola! Confused

Passmethecrisps · 29/07/2014 14:30

Poor wee sausage.

Holiday sounds fab vq

P has a two hour stint at nursery at the moment. So what did I rush home to do? Wash the dishwasher and washing machine.

Lily311 · 29/07/2014 18:07

Quiet here. We had a lovely afternoon afterglow by the river watching the boats and ducks, she is in bed now and I hope she will sleep longer in the morning.

YellowWellies · 29/07/2014 19:59

Apparently kiddicare are closing all but one of their stores. Sad news but if anyone has any big purchases planned it might be worth checking them out to see if they have any bargains.

Looking like roseola here. He is utterly glued to me by day and to his Daddy by night. We managed our first tear free bath in a week though (probably because DH hopped in with him) so it looks like progress. He's falling over all the time and seems dizzy - reckon this is just part of the whole achy limb / flu symptoms? Hmm

Wandathewindfairy · 29/07/2014 20:32

Poor old little bear. Windy snuggles being sent from the fairy house. Thanks

Yes vq it does sound tentilicious. And I am Envy no Hols for us and though I know why I am still Envy at people having some time out as a family.

This time 4 years ago DS1 was a day late, it was hot, it was sticky, I was an enormous fed up blob perched on a birthing ball with the windows open and the curtains closed --watching all the birthing programmes on
Home and Health-- not knowing I had another 10 days to go! I am feeling nostalgic.

Wandathewindfairy · 29/07/2014 20:35

Oh, I was going to say lily I think you did the right thing today. We are the opposite, I had to wake O today to get up In Time for nursery. He has been waking around 7. But the weather is much pleasanter here, warm and breezy and we are having loads and loads of outside time which is doing wonders for sleep. Tbh we had been anywhere between 5:30 and 6:30 before that and when is day after day it gets a bit tiring

Pikz · 29/07/2014 20:47

Noooo for poorly bears Hmm

Yay to girls arriving wanda

Yay to tents VQ

Lily L is also waking early at the moment. It's killing me with work

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/07/2014 21:29

I'm hiding in the bathroom of a holiday inn waiting for the girls to go to sleep E to stop crying. I'd have a bath but there is only a shower. on the plus side I have a cup of tea and wifi. DD1 is singing to E, it's very sweet. We are staying in Bath for a couple of days visiting my Aunt, taking in the sights and tomorrow I'm taking them to Longleat.

Glad holiday is a success vq.

Hope the bear has a good nights sleep yw.

Ooo it's gone quiet. Will give it a few minutes then try and sneak into bed with my kindle.

GTbaby · 29/07/2014 23:28

Heard about kiddiecare few days ago. We are going tomorrow to pick up a few bits and see what bargains we come across. Real shame as we have no where near by to go and look at so many baby things.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 29/07/2014 23:46

You've all dropped off my active list so I'm popping back tonight so I can find you tomorrow!

Wandathewindfairy · 30/07/2014 08:12

Morning peeps. All quiet here. Xx

BigPigLittlePig · 30/07/2014 09:44

Am quietly swigging my morning Brew

When to the girls arrive Wanda? Will they be here for ds1s birthday? So exciting!

F has been challenging, although sleep not terrible (yet?!). Dreadful code brown incident this morning though necessitating bed change right down to the waterproof sheet and a bath Envy

Yw I wonder what it is then that's upsetting J. I thought we had the pox diagnosis nailed!

Lily and chasing - Wine for later!

Off to carry on decorating Smile

YellowWellies · 30/07/2014 13:15

BP doc reckons roseola. He's back to himself today though (thank goodness as I'm at work and DH was worrying about how he'd cope with him) so will be back off to nursery tomorrow. Obviously he's waiting to get the pox until I have a newborn in the house....

Wanda wahoo for the girls!

Passmethecrisps · 30/07/2014 15:06

No nap at nursery so p is fractious and overtired.

I have two options -

  1. take a path of least resistance and spend the rest of the day watching telly and providing endless emotional support for the trauma of mummy not being a mind reader

  2. pack her up and head off to the soft play/park and take what comes

Thoughts?

BigPigLittlePig · 30/07/2014 15:11

Both have a similar number of cons, Pass. Tis a tough one to call. So long as there is Wine at the end for you, I think either would do.

misslaughalot · 30/07/2014 15:25

Oh interesting about Kiddicare YW, they used to be online only with one showroom didn't they, is that what they're returning to?

I have been debating whether to get a double buggy or not for when DC2 arrives in November or just go with the buggy we have now (not used an awful lot at the moment unless we want O to nap while we're out, which isn't often as she sleeps so much better in her cot) and use a sling for baby (a much cheaper choice!) Any thoughts from those who have 2 with a 2 year gap?

YellowWellies · 30/07/2014 16:45

I've gone for a double buggy but then we walk everywhere. I did consider slinging it with the new baby but am scared of slipping on ice over winter what with them being an autumn baby. If we didn't walk everywhere I would have gone for sling and then a double umbrella type stroller from 6 months. Instead I got a baby jogger city select double (1000 new!!!) from eBay for 240 (including the bassinet).

Zamboni · 30/07/2014 17:11

I'd have gone for least resistance as a one off Pass.

MissL - we had 21m gap and went for a double PnT. Used it a lot, sold it when S was about 15months as DD didn't use it. But it was v useful. Also bought second hand - paid £165 inc all extras and then sold for £125 - so it was good value but with resale value too.

Passmethecrisps · 30/07/2014 17:29

We did soft play. There were some particularly spirited children there. And why do I always get the wee shadows?
