I'm sitting by the pool sipping a frozen Mojito! DS1 is in the pool, DS2 is at the kids club and DS3 is asleep so I temporarily have some peace but not quiet due to the loud music here. We did Alton Towers last week for two days and it's Siam Park (a water park) tomorrow. J LOVED the In the Night Garden ride.
Chasing my two always wanted to take something to the childminder with them. I think it makes the leaving home/mummy easier to bear. I wouldn't recommend a favourite toy though as things do get accidentally taken home by other children lost at nursery.
It may seem odd YW but putting on weight isn't necessarily a bad thing in Parkinson's. A lot of people with Parkinson's become very frail and vulnerable to infections so it's better to be overweight than underweight iyswim. 20 stone might be overdoing it a bit though.
Kyz I would recommend cuttig down on caffeine gradually as the withdrawal can be really nasty if you're used to drinking a lot of caffeinated drinks. A trick I discovered when pregnant with J was to chuck the first lot of water from the teabag and add more water because the second brewing from the teabag contains very little caffeine.
I wouldn't worry about H, GT, he'll talk when he's ready. J doesn't really say anything yet, the occasional word is all. It's communication that's important rather than speech. For example if J brings me his sippy cup then I know he wants a drink so he doesn't need to ask me verbally. My older two were both late talkers too going from no words at all at 18 months to full sentences by two.
Very relieved that your J is fine again now Izzy. What a scare though.
Fwiw frozen mojitos are LUSH!
