Brilliant news pass big congrats to mr crisps.

fruitpastilles · 07/06/2014 12:49

Urgh, I've just realised I basically copied what wanda said Blush

ValiumQueen · 07/06/2014 13:02

Nowt wrong with that Fruit.

Wandathewindfairy · 07/06/2014 13:56

Sometimes do really ugly shirts go missing after being put in the dirty clothes basket?

ValiumQueen · 07/06/2014 14:09

They do Wanda. So do gifts from Nana. Frequently.

itsnotyouitsMeals · 07/06/2014 14:13

So sorry perse. Second what vq said re post miscarriage baby. Big hugs whatever you decide. Allow yourself to grieve though. I found it helped to fully acknowledge the loss.

Congrats mr crisps

Am sat in the car with two napping children. It's 30 degrees and the aircon is helping them sleep. Will the car battery go flat and if so how long do I have? Had the engine running but got Hmm looks.

ValiumQueen · 07/06/2014 14:48

No idea PR. I think if engine is running you will be ok.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/06/2014 14:51

Gave up and came inside. One DD napping still in her cot at least. DD1 got half an hour or so.

Passmethecrisps · 07/06/2014 15:05

30 degrees? Jeepers. Pouring with rain here.

Thanks for all the congrats.

ValiumQueen · 07/06/2014 15:17

It was 31 deg at one point here yesterday Pass. Like an oven, but very brief.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/06/2014 15:23

Our bloody parasol blew over and broke so we had to go out and get a new one. It's not windy. Has survived far worse but obviously thought as it was hot it may as well give up with one little gust. So a trip to the garden centre was had. On the Saturday afternoon of a bank holiday weekend. Always pleasant Hmm

ValiumQueen · 07/06/2014 15:29

I want to buy a parasol. I have never owned a parasol. I want a green one. A big green one.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/06/2014 15:33

Our terrace is a sun trap and it gets hot here. It's a necessity. We were going to get a lime green one but got brown instead. The lime green one was pretty but was the display model and not very clean. And they wouldn't give a discount on it. Bastards.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/06/2014 15:47

I prefer Scottish weather.

Passmethecrisps · 07/06/2014 15:49

We have a parasol but no weight for it so it is frequently too windy to use it.

P has just discovered the full length curtains in her room and is examining the various things hidden behind them. She is currently readin a book called French Poetry for Cats

PetiteRaleuse · 07/06/2014 16:01

Ooh I used to have a book called French for Cats or something like that. It had things like "I've just coughed up a furball". I've lost it, probably still at my parents' somewhere. I actually don't know how to say I've coughed up a furball in French Blush

What kind of poems does it have?

Pikz · 07/06/2014 16:12

More cuddles for perse

Massive congrats to the crisp household!

Have just built an ikea kids kitchen. Hands ache.

Passmethecrisps · 07/06/2014 17:45

Voici une boule de poils

PetiteRaleuse · 07/06/2014 17:52

Yeah that would work.

Inspired by you pass I have been on a goat cheese binge today. Bought ready made goat cheese foccaccia as a starter for lunch and made my own goat cheese bruschetta for dinner, served with salad.

I've been wanting bruschetta ever since wanda mentioned it a few weeks ago. Didn't make the bread myself though. Was yum.

Zamboni · 07/06/2014 18:32

I've just spanked £££ on frigging baking ingredients for cakes I am going to spend all evening baking and which I can't eat AND after a good gym sesh . All for a good cause - my firm is sponsoring a rainbow run tomorrow and for some reason thought a cake sake worked alongside the 5k. I can't run but can bake so doing my bit. Will be v hard to NOT eat some. I obvs need to test eat one, right?!

And in other news, S can now identify his head, hair, nose, ears, mouth, hands, toes, feet aaaaaaaaaaand, his willy. Bravo DH.

ChasingDaisy · 07/06/2014 18:38

Hi all Smile

Back from a lovely day with Lily and O. O is utterly adorable and sooo well behaved! She could definitely teach my O a thing or two. Although, she also has a very wilful personality shining through takes after her mother Wink

Speaking of 5k's Zamboni - I am running the Race for Life tomorrow. Which is exactly a year to the day that I told XP I was leaving. Quite a fitting way to celebrate the anniversary I think.

O can also identify head, hair, mouth, teeth, nose, eyes, hands, feet and tummy. He struggles with ears Grin

Zamboni · 07/06/2014 18:48

Ooooh good luck Chasing! Lovely way to celebrate. What an amazing year you have had. WineThanks

PetiteRaleuse · 07/06/2014 18:53

Good luck tomorrow chasing and yep, a very fitting way to celebrate your year's freedom.
