It makes sense yw but I still hate the window seat. I just hope no one will sit in the middle so at least after take off she can have her own seat. The flight is at 7 which is her bedtime, with luck she will sleep.

pidj agree with yw and chasing. Glad you intervened but the weight and smoking is not relevant.

PP I think making such a comment on a thread where there are both smokers and fat people is pretty poor show tbh. I think you especially should be really careful about putting your judgy pants on. I was also unimpressed by your comment on the other thread about only doing things for others if you can get something in return. I have sat on my hands long enough. You have had such kindness, generosity and understanding shown to you by the quiche, I find your comments quite staggering.

Since F has had the duvet on her cot, PussyPig has decided her bed is The Best Place for napping. The 2 of them were cuddled up together Smile

What time is it on?

pidj fwiw as a smoker your comment offended me too. I sometimes have a fag while my kids are at the park. I stand a good distance away too so that the smoke doesn't bother anyone. I have never felt judged before for smoking - in France people seem to have better things to worry about - but I feel that I am no better or worse a person for being a smoker. Quite frankly the thought that a fellow quichester would possibly judge me on smoking a fair distance away from others is upsetting.

Plenty of people who are overweight smoke (plenty don't). Those that do are often scared of giving up as smokers have a tendancy to replace fags with snacks. In fact many smokers report putting on 5-10kg when they stop.

I accept that she was not supervising her child perfectly, but we all make mistakes. Even skinny non smokers.

Have instructed dh to record it all - after all, tis educational. Right?!

Have had some fab ebay bargains for moi, so got some nice new work dresses. Just need to go shoe shopping now. Plus trainers. Haven't done todays ab challenge - one of the other docs I was working with last night was also bemoaning her lack of tummy muscles so am not alone Smile

Just had a long chat on the phone with a good friend from Paris who has recently been widowed. I wish I was closer. It's the first time I wished I was still in Paris.

She has free train tickets for life due to her DH's job. But she can't bring herself to book them. I can't afford the fare to Paris right now. Or the time with DH's new job he can't be around for nursery. Maybe in summer.

But she's coping admirably and I hope she'll work up the courage to come soon.
