I think it is too early for a heartbeat and you would see very little. They will likely ask you back a week or so later if nothing is visible. Cycles are not an exact science so please do not worry if nothing is visible. Does your mum know you are pg? I know many will not tell family until after 12 week scan, but I always did as if anything were to happen I would have wanted their support.

Perse I bled at that point with J. Big clots just like my MC. DH was in Chile it was so hard. Sorry you have to wait til Monday for a scan .

We had a zoo day today with DH. Lots more animal names "jaguar", "warthog" and "penguin" (from J not DH, though he's mastered them too). No longer is the zoo subdivided into betsys and miaows. Rhinos (ninos) still rock his world most of all!

Then DH built the bassinet and J sat proudly in his new buggy like boudica in a chariot. He likes sitting in the massive shopping basket best.... needn't have bothered with the second seat!

With LO there was no hb visible until over 7wks.

It's much heavier now. I think that's it. Just text my mum and asked her to come round. So upset.

Pidj I think Zamboni expressed it well. I used to lash out too when I needed help because I hated feeling weak and having to ask so instead compensated by slagging off vast swathes of the populace in my head, so I could understand your recent posts I really could. I think judgy pants is a common female defence mechanism but the words are often forgotten by the speaker long before the audience and people will tend to speak to you with the same sharpness back after a while.

As for the nappies FWIW I wasn't thinking the cloth caused it but I did think to cure nappy rash you had to keep the skin aired as you say, but also totally dry (I thought that was how fuller's earth powder cured it?) hence I agreed that disposables be worth a shot whilst he heals. Particularly if you are upset at the thought of early toilet training? I thought you were pretty chuffed about it from your posts so misunderstood.

Yeh unfortunately my mum knows it well. She had recurrent miscarriages after she had me.

Times have changed since then perse . If this is worst case scenario then allow yourself to grieve then ask for referral to a specialist. Things can be done to help.

Also glad your mum will be with you tonight.
