Ooh Inge to start a new thread. So if the last one was the one where they don't sleep, then they'll start to sleep now, yes?

I go back to work next Weds Kitty. DS started properly today. Full day today, tomorrow and Friday. I've just done a lovely yoga class and am using the next few days to have lunches, get hair cut etc. miss DS though. Sad

pear definitely want to hear all TTC details! I'm beginning to accept that I will do it all again but not yet!

Wow. So we've had two nights of CIO after a nighttime feed and somehow miraculously M slept through the night last night. We had a doc appointment with jabs on Monday and the doc said that it's absolutely fine to really start the sleep training now that she's nearly 18 months and there's no harm in letting her figure it out on her own. That was such a relief. Hopefully this is the new trend....
On the other hand. DH had a really late footy game and decided to stay out to have a couple of drinks. F'er snored his bloody head off so instead of getting blissful sleep b/c M was sleeping, I had to keep kicking the f'er to make him shut up. Not a happy lady.

OMG Hmm Really Frus? I'm so so sorry for you Sad I hope he told you himself and you didn't find out in a nasty way! Not that it would make it any better Sad I hope you're OK?

Bring ~ woop! Long may it last!!! You deserve some good nights with M sleeping through. Now why do the DH's always go and spoil it. Mine does the same...he doesn't drink but he does decide to get up in the middle of the night At least twice when I could have slept through till 7 grrrrr Confused

peardrop2 · 27/11/2014 01:27

Oh frus Hmm as if you havnt been through enough!
Is this the girl he was having communication with that you found? How did you know she was still on the scene?

peardrop2 · 27/11/2014 07:35

Frus ~ Best decision ever! My sister is one of those bitter ex's in RL. Lives 5 minutes from her ex. Not only has it completely destroyed her self worth but she's now changed so much that she's not a very easy person to get on with so I never see her Hmm She's been on anti-depressants for what seems years now....just don't go there. Sounds cheesy but save yourself and your kids before its too late Blush

Lorelei353 · 27/11/2014 10:36

Sorry to hear that frus. He's a prize idiot obviously. Moving sounds like a good way of making the break and moving on.

Stbbeh will always hate the idea...you'll have to be really really strong to carry this one through Sad How far are you thinking? It's not like another country, right? Btw I've added an extra b to his name for good measure Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 27/11/2014 16:33

Oh my gosh, Frus, my heart just dropped when I read that. Sad. Well of course he doesn't like the idea of you moving away! Free attention whenever he feels he needs more than what he's getting from a young idiot- good or bad. Yes, I am so so happy that you've decided to get away from him. He's toxic sludge in your life, you don't need that anymore! I agree with pear best to get out and away and start over when things are good, better than if things get really nasty again. He's just a knob. UGHGHHHGHGH!

Sorry to hear baby Frus wasn't having the sleep last night. M woke up last night with a raging fever and conjunctivitis. She's always got a knack of coming down with something on holidays or birthdays. It's Thanksgiving in the States today and of course when I have to make a few dishes to take up to my dad's mum is still in FL and isn't coming up for the family dinner she's clingy, whingy, and's got a weepy eye. FUN! Found some old antibiotics (don't worry, they're still in-dates) from last time DSs got the gross-eyes and popped a drop in plus a few drops of bm in for good measure.

Lorelei353 · 27/11/2014 16:40

Handy to still have the bm available bring! DS has another head cold and now, so do I. I had a miserable headcold two weeks ago which turned into a full-on sinus infection after a week. I finished the antibiotics for that on Tuesday and lo and behold I have a brand new headcold today.

I'm about an hour north-west of Thunder! She lives in such a beautiful part of the country. Am v Envy at the thought of moving there! From what I hear, that area is quite up-and-coming with a bit of a hippy vibe to parts of it! Grin Good luck with the school search!

AGnu · 28/11/2014 17:23

My SIL had a bleed this morning at 14w pregnant. She's spent all day in hospital waiting to be scanned & utterly devastated about losing her baby. 12 hours after the bleed she was finally scanned & told that her baby's fine! Absolutely normal, perfect size & good movement! Grin I've been on edge all day waiting for news. DMum seemed resigned to the 'fact' but I couldn't quite let myself believe it until the scan. Just yesterday I was chatting to DMum about whether we should buy an unborn baby a Christmas present! I feel like crying! Blush As if knowing their baby is fine wasn't enough, DB & DSIL have both got the w/e off work to recover from the shock of it all! I'm so tempted to throw the DC in the car & head over there first thing in the morning so we can celebrate together. I suspect they'll just want some time to get their heads straight though!

AGnu · 28/11/2014 17:28

Ha! Just as I pressed 'send' DB rang! Apparently they've been there since 2am! Just waiting to be officially discharged now. Bless, they sounded really tired but have been having fun with the TV... Grin I've told them to tell the baby there's to be no more drama. It sounds like this baby is just destined to be mischievous - of their 2 scans now, the baby's had it's back to them both times... & seems to be trying to moon them! Definitely takes after DBro! Wink

I'm so ridiculously emotional right now. I'm trying to cook the boys' food but can't stop shaking! Blush I'd probably be more in control if it had been bad news! I'm generally quite good in crisis-mode but don't know what to do with myself when there's happy news! Confused

Agnu ~.i hope the good news has by now sunk in. Must have been an awful waiting day for your family! TG everything is looking on the up! You of all people deserve good news after all the sadness.

AGnu · 29/11/2014 15:32

Thanks pear! I'm still Grining whenever I think about it! It freaked me out because I've been crocheting a blanket for one of the Woolly Hugs projects which gives them to families when a baby dies. I've been in two minds about giving it to Woolly Hugs or to DBro when their baby's born & kept having a niggling thought that it could end up being both... then that happened! Hmm Anyway, it's over now! Fx it was just 'one of those things' & the rest of the pregnancy will be uneventful!

I'm going completely mad for Christmas this year! Blush I've dug out an old plain jumper & have grand ideas about sewing on a felt stable/star/Jesus on the front & embroidering "Happy birthday Jesus" on the back! There's surprisingly few Jesus-related jumpers around! Grin Someone was joking about the adults dressing up for our toddler group Christmas party so I thought I'd get into the spirit! Last year I sewed tinsel around the logo of my uniform! It's things like this that make people think I'm weird, isn't it?! Blush

peardrop2 · 30/11/2014 19:47

Booooo bpear has a cold Hmm

Can anyone recommend a beanbag? My mum wants to buy him one for Christmas for his reading corner. So far I've looked at JoJo, GLTC and John Lewis. They're crazy money Shock

peardrop2 · 30/11/2014 19:49

Agnu ~ have you finished your jumper? Wink
