Ooh Inge to start a new thread. So if the last one was the one where they don't sleep, then they'll start to sleep now, yes?

I go back to work next Weds Kitty. DS started properly today. Full day today, tomorrow and Friday. I've just done a lovely yoga class and am using the next few days to have lunches, get hair cut etc. miss DS though. Sad

pear definitely want to hear all TTC details! I'm beginning to accept that I will do it all again but not yet!

Ha!! I saw the vid on FB. SO funny!

Yuckola. Mozzies are horrible creatures. I have got off lucky in that they don't really bother me and the bites don't get bad either. But that's mozzies here, maybe they will smell my foreign blood and will come after me when I come to visit next month.

Holy mother of God, my son's feet smell SO F'ING BAD. I'm going to burn his shoes. They are beyond disgusting.

AGnu · 10/07/2014 17:52

I bought Runt his first pair of outside shoes today! He was ruining his fabric shoes with all his crawling outside so I got him some pre-walkers in the sale. I feel the need to emphasise that I did this all by myself with 2 small people in tow AND bought myself some new clothes too! The rest of the day has gone downhill but let's focus on the positive 90 mins! Wink

He's a 2.5G. I suspected he would be - Calf's first shoes at 14 months were 3G so I figured he'd be similar. He needed some nice shoes to wear to a wedding this weekend but I didn't tell DH we'd been out - I just happened to be wearing my new clothes when he got home & Runt just happened to have his new shoes on... Grin He noticed my clothes immediately but I had to waggle Runt's feet in his face for him to notice those! He claimed to be impressed that I'd been out & bought stuff & spoken to people but he didn't seem particularly overwhelmed!

I'm now making a dozen cupcakes & a slab cake for the local schools - something my church does at the end of every term - & altering my dress for the wedding... I might get to sleep about 3am if I'm lucky! I'm exhausted already! Runt fell asleep for 10 minutes on the way back from the shops & so decided he didn't need an afternoon sleep, got overly tired & I spent all afternoon with both boys shouting at me & not a clue what to do about it! Confused

kittykatsforever · 10/07/2014 22:59

Ha ha Agnu your husband celebrates you going out shopping, my dh dreads it when I say I have Wink

Lorelei353 · 11/07/2014 11:10

Great shopping trip Agnu. Well done. We're impressed.

DS is 3.5G. We got him some pre-walker shoes on sale too because his socks and little moccasin things are getting wrecked at nursery. They spend a lot of time outdoors, which is great, but his socks are in tatters.

Desperate to buy bpear a kitchen. Have held off buying him a paddling pool and sandpit...need to keep saying nooooo to myself. Just looks like so much fun and he would spend hours opening all the doors again and again. We need a kitchen Grin

Lorelei353 · 13/07/2014 16:08

I light of our recent conversation about how much hotter Steven Gerrard is now that he's scruffed up a bit I thought I'd share this with you Grin

LOL!!! Lor, you're hilarious! PS... my DH has a beard Shock Wink

T-minus 30 days or so until we pack up and fly over with three kids. god kill me now We don't even have a tix purchased yet as we're scrambling like mad to save enough. OH THE STRESS.

Lorelei353 · 13/07/2014 22:21

Well done on the bearded dh Grin. Mine has scruff beard too.

God you must be panicking a bit but these things all come together in the end. It'll all happen!

By the way Pear, we have a sand pit. dh mentioned it and I thought he meant for ds' birthday, so figured I'd have time to talk him out of it (ds was about 10 months at the time) then it just turned up from Amazon! It is good and ds loves it but the sand gets everywhere. We live in a 3rd floor flat so it's on the balcony!

OP posts:
AGnu · 13/07/2014 22:59

We have a sandpit too... Sort of...! It's an under-bed storage box with sand in. This means I can wheel it around. It's kept in the playhouse but brought out to be played with because I can't deal with all the sand in the grooves between the wooden boards. There's a nice flat slab of concrete just outside the playhouse that's v easy to sweep!

My DH categorically does not have a beard.

bring do you think you'll be able to squeeze in a day to meet up while you're over?

bringonthetrumpets · 14/07/2014 03:09

Absolutely YES I will squeeze in a day to meet up! Who knows when the next time we'll stupidly plan another trip over and it would be so fun to actually meet you dear ladies! We are currently working on an itinerary of when/where we'll be while we're there so I stomp my foot and make a fuss put in my request Grin We're in Nottingham, but we can definitely find a location that's central for all who want to attend.

M absolutely loves sand!

Anyone hitting the Next sale this weekend?

kittykatsforever · 15/07/2014 18:10

Oh yes pear! Yes indeed and I think I may even do it at 6 which I've never bothered with before, I'm actually excited which makes me very sad lol

peardrop2 · 15/07/2014 21:51

What size will go for kitty? Now I know they're slightly big I might stick to 18mths for next summer. Always hard to know though as I have no idea how much they grow.

Frus - what size will you be getting for DS to wear next summer? You're the pro Grin

peardrop2 · 16/07/2014 06:23

Anybody care to explain to a PFBM why nappy changes have suddenly gone mental?! Took me over 10 minutes to get a nappy on and that was standing up Hmm What's happened?!???!

peardrop2 · 16/07/2014 06:31

Oh and if you could also let me know how to get bpear to wake later then 5:15am that would also be helpful Smile pllllllleeeaassse!!! I've got a 3 blackout blinds, tried later nights and tried a bigger dinner. None of it works Shock

Pear I'll try for 18-24 months or 2-3, as kittens bday is may it should cover her either way but I did find with tiger that some of her 2-3 still for her the following summer so she's worn them two in a row, depends what there I think and if I want it lol
Nappy changes are a f&@"in nitemare here too, the best advice I have is to try and find something In the room to entertain them for 5 seconds, usually something you wouldn't give them lol
Kittens terrible at bath time too now, whether it's tiredness but she stands trying to climb out crying Hmm also her excema has almost dissapeared completely since trying formula instead of cows milk again but that's not good as I'm not sure what to do now....
Pear I think a lot of people strugle with early wake ups in the summer, nothing really to suggest other then not going in the room? I've always found later nights make mine wake up earlier, it sounds stupid but usually the earlier kitten goes to bed the later she lies in too ?!

But frus I've heard that this summer sale is going to be massive! The stores have been getting stuff sent to them for weeks and it's lovely this season, I thought you always did the two big ones, I find the Boxing Day one much more disappointing usually

bringonthetrumpets · 16/07/2014 14:51

I agree with kitty, try looking for things that are size 2-3. When is this sale? I won't be over until mid-August.... Hmm

This age is just ridiculous with nappy changes. Rolling and struggling to get away and screeching and crying and hip lifting and then rolling again. FFS, it's just stupid. I usually give M my coveted iphone while I'm attempting the nappy change. or hold her down with one leg Grin

You could try goat's milk, kitty.
