Thinking of you today Lily x

J is a poorly boy. Likely back to the doctor today or if he doesn't improve significantly I will be taking him to hospital. His temp is just ridiculous.
I have a major thing at work but want to phone in and tell them I am off with him. DH thinks I should go, as he is off, but I do not trust him to manage him properly. Yesterday he had a temp of 40.2 and was screaming for an hour. I then came home to this and he had only given him 2.5mls of PCM. I had told him to regularly medicate and he had left him 6 hours with nothing. Then gives a half dose.

StuntNun · 23/01/2014 06:48

After Tuesday's terrible sleep J went from 7-6 last night without waking us which is his best night ever. Obviously it's brilliant that I got a decent night's sleep for once last night but the very unpredictable nature of J's sleep is taking its toll as well. I'm going to bed not knowing whether I'll be up with him in ten minutes or six hours. Anyone that has had insomnia will know what I mean, that dread of going to bed because you don't know how awful the night will be. On the plus side I don't get insomnia at the moment - too damn tired for that!

Pidj if you aren't ready to stop bfing yet then be aware that R could be having a nursing strike. I thought my DS1 and DS2 self-weaned but in fact I think they responded to a drop in milk availability (DS1 due to use of nipple shields, DS2 due to my return to work) with a nursing strike and I misinterpreted that as self-weaning. Stopping bf messes with your head in all sorts of ways so don't feel you have to stop right away if you don't want to, you can always increase your supply again if that's what you decide. On the other hand: chocolate...

Must go, J has fallen asleep again so I might be in with a chance of a shower this morning.

Good luck today lily will be thinking of you.

stunt I think you need to take each day at a time enjoy the fact you had your great sleep last night and don't worry about tonight my love. Hope you got your shower.

Hair cutting here has surprised me by it's cheapity. And I lived mine when I had it done just before Christmas. It I am musing on going somewhere else next time just to scout round.

Zamboni · 23/01/2014 07:16

Good luck lily Thanks

wellieboots · 23/01/2014 08:09

Good luck lily, sorry again for the job vq. Good luck with the mortgage isles, pass sorry you're having a shit time, you are allowed to have a rant any time you like on here, no apologies required.

Completely forgotten everyone else's news, sorry!

wellieboots · 23/01/2014 08:11

Oh and stunt yay for the good sleeping!

ditsygal · 23/01/2014 08:34

good luck lily.

Sorry about the job VQ they don't know what they are missing

stunt I know how you feel on the sleep front - I never know when/if I will be up with F and it really stops me being able to enjoy going to bed - I approach each night with a sense of doom!

Pass really hope ageing puss is ok, and that you get on ok with all his tests

fruitpastilles · 23/01/2014 09:10

Good luck today lily

And to you isles with your exams.

Off to slimming world, will catch up when I get back.

StormyIsles · 23/01/2014 09:15

Thanks fruit. I'm so nervous I feel sick.

Good luck today lily x

Sophiathestormfairy · 23/01/2014 09:16

Good luck isles I know you will walk it Envy

Forgot to say yest how the trip to Mothercare made super broody and long to be pregnant again! Ahhhhhh. But we all know is now physically impossible which is probably a very good thing indeed.

StormyIsles · 23/01/2014 09:27

Sophia have you ever considered fostering/adopting? My mum can't have any more children and if it wasn't for her knackered back she would love to do this. Any child would love you to be their mummy.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/01/2014 09:36

lily am thinking of you. Have everything crossed that this judge sees sense. Good luck.

And good luck for your exam isles.

vq I think you should go to work. Hard to leave them when poorly I know but since DH is actually off you may as well take advantage of it. Give strict instructions and write them down.

DD1s temp is fine today so don't know what all that was about. After she went to bed I had an email from a friend saying her little girl has scarlet fever so I was half expecting DD1 to have that but all appears back to normal this morning.

Finally got round to booking cinema tickets for me and DH to see the hobbit tomorrow night. Going to go for a bite to eat first. Going to bluewater so have lots of eateries to choose from. Might do tapas. lots of chrizio and prawns swimming in garlic. Yum.

Lily311 · 23/01/2014 09:40

I need to scream and shout that the judge finally, after 14 months, made his decision and without a doubt Leo is the father and I can register Olivia here!!!! There is still a battle ahead of me to get her the right surname but for now I have a paper from the court.

Sophiathestormfairy · 23/01/2014 09:44

It maybe the way to go once O is a bit older. I have considered it yes. There must be some reason I am on this earth Hmm

Sophiathestormfairy · 23/01/2014 09:45

I am also considering volunteering for home start once I know how work works out.

wellieboots · 23/01/2014 09:50

Yay lily GrinGrinGrinI'm so sorry for everything you've gone through to get here but so pleased someone has seen sense xx

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/01/2014 09:51

Talking of being broody, which I'm not particularly I have been thinking a lot about having a third child, or not having one as the case may be. As much as I adore my 2 girls I just don't feel like I'm done having kids yet. But at the same time I think having a third would through the dynamics of our family out. I know DD1 woukd love it but it would be tough for E right now as she is still so reliant on me. I'm 40 at the end of this year so can't afford to wait too long. I know I don't need to make a definite decision either way now but it's just been playing on my mind recently as if I haven't got anything better to do. I think I'll wait till E is 18 months old and reevaluate the situation. Sorry this is pure waffle. And sorry if it's insensitive to anyone. I know its an emotive subject. Anyone wishing to through in their twopence worth is welcome, good or bad.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/01/2014 09:52

lily that's fabulous news. I'm so pleased for you. Woop!! At last.

Sophiathestormfairy · 23/01/2014 10:28

Brilliant lily I didn't see that earlier. That is great news I am so pleased for you. Xx

PetiteRaleuse · 23/01/2014 10:32

Lily that is wonderful news [champagne]

PetiteRaleuse · 23/01/2014 10:37

Well the dog had eaten something which involved a lot of string. Thick string. No idea where he got it but have inspected the poo and that is what it was. Twat. Ugh.

Sophiathestormfairy · 23/01/2014 10:56

Horrible. Envy

PetiteRaleuse · 23/01/2014 10:59

Sorry. I'll shut up about it now :o

I used to love Eddie Izzard. Watched all his shows several times. Yesterday I watched Force Majeure and only laughed twice. Anyone else seen it? Was it shite or have I become French? Though he is quite popular over here in Paris. He does shows in French.

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/01/2014 11:03

lily that's wonderful!! I'm so happy for you both!
